 + -1 moreRay did a beautiful job. Our house is about 150 years old and has huge stone walls separating every area he had to go through with the new pipe. He cut out the smallest piece possible to do the job in the mudroom and went through the walls carefully to re-route the pipe. All was done promptly and in one day. This had been a problem for us for several years and I had called plumber after plumber, none of whom wanted to do it. Ray saw no problem, gave what seemed a fair quote, and did the job within a few days of the quote. He cleaned everything up and was pleasant to have in the house, as was his crew.
Description of Work: We had a broken sewer pipe under our mudroom which is on a concrete slab. Water from the toilet, sink, and washing machine were leaking through the crawl space under the next room and into our basement any time we used those appliances. Ray removed toilet and cut through concrete slab to orphan the old sewer and run a new line which he connected to the other good sewer lines in our house. He re-cemented the floor that he had cut out and will return to re-set the toilet when we have new bathroom tile down.

 + -1 moreWe came back from a week away (one of the coldest weeks ever) to find out our septic tank system had frozen since no water had been passed through it while we were gone. This was Sunday about 6 pm. 2/11/07. First thing Monday morning we called the septic people we usually use-Ray Craft-Patel, and they recommended we call Reiche's Plumbing & Sewer rodding who thaws frozen pipes. Ryan came about 11:30 and worked HARD till 3:30 our overall experience was wonderful.
Description of Work: In absolutely brrr cold freezing weather Ryan dug down through concrete hard ground to reach the septic tank cover. He had to use a pick ax and buckets of boiling water to get there and remove cover that was frozen on the tank. Because inside was frozen too, he tried to blast through pipes from inside (laundry room) but the drain was too small. So he finally used the clean out in the corner of the crawl space. He used the hydrojet method to thaw out the ice. It was tedious work, an inch at a time, and the water had to be continually removed and put into a bucket, carried over the crawl space door and dumped out. (Larry-my husband- helped with water removal) Drain pipes were finally thawed & the water system was back in use.

water heater repair
 + -1 moreTHE FATHER & SON TEAM ARRIVED ON MONDAY MORNING AS AGREED-UPON. THEY REMOVED THE OLD TANK WHICH WAS VERY SLOW TO DRAIN APPARENTLY DUE TO THE SEDIMENT BUILDUP. INSTALLATION OF THE NEW TANK REQUIRED SOME MINOR PIPE CUTTING, SOLDERING, AND PIPE-FITTING TO PERMIT THE NEW CONNECTIONS FOR BOTH THE WATER, GAS, AND EXHAUST. ALL WORK WAS DONE IN AN ORDERLY AND CONFIDENT MANNER. THANKS FOR THE GOOD WORK AT FAIR PRICE.
Description of Work: REMOVED EXISTING A.O. SMITH 50 GALLON NATURAL GAS WATER HEATER AND REPLACED WITH NEW ONE; RHEEM GUARDIAN SYSTEM FURY MODEL 22V50F1. OLD WATER HEATER WAS ORIGINAL WITH HOUSE; 10.5 YEARS OLD. IT HAD STARTED TO MAKE GRUMBLING / BANGING NOISES DURING WATER HEATING CYCLE. GOT 4 QUOTES BEFORE DECIDING; RANGE FROM $730.00 - $910.00.
