Not only did they give us an awesome finished basement, we appreciated that they listened to us throughout the process and were very open with any concerns or suggestions. Open, honest communication makes a big difference, and Gordon understands that. It was truly a collaborative process and we are very pleased with how our basement turned out. My basement turned out amazing! Full bathroom installed, including 3-person sauna. Electrical work, lightening, painting, drywall and matte finish black ceiling all turned out fantastic! Gordan’s crew were all terrific. Professional, hard working, and always cleaned up before leaving for the night. Highly recommend!

Excellent! The best part was the communication. Gordon's crew was on time every day and performed the work in a professional and efficient manner. The crew respected my home and my family...that was huge. Now that I am moving toward buying rentals and rehabs, Gordon will be called on again.

Excellent. GR quoted the project at a fair price. Suggested changes to the new composite deck that was an improvement over the wood deck. The two men (Shane/Brian) did the entire project in a week. Everyday they made sure to update what was completed. Gordon Rudd contacted me throughout the project to make sure that I was happy and updated me on status. This project was completed in trying times and this company was outstanding. I recommend G&R.

Gordon’s team did a really good job remodeling my bathroom and my unfinished basement. Their new drywall & flooring installation work great and they did a good job with the plumbing & electrical adjustments I needed done. They cleaned up the mess they made daily and tried to keep the rest of the house clean and dust free. Total cost for both basement & bathroom remodel was $23900. There were some additional remodeling costs that I didn’t budget for initially but Gordon was willing to work with me on making payments for the additional features that were added to the remodel. Overall they are a good company and I’m happy with the work they did.

It was a pleasure working with Gordan and his team. I needed some deck repairs/staining for a rental property. The work needed to be done rather quickly due to putting the house on the market. Great communication throughout, and they were able to do everything in a timely manner. Quality of work was great! I look forward to working with his team in the future.

Bathroom and kitchen backsplash turned out good. The individual that did both of those projects did a good job. The painting of the house did not go very well. Very sloppy work overall. Paint spills left on my floor with out any communication of the event, huge mess left behind my refrigerator, spots missed, wall paint spilled on trim, paint left on window glass (no taping was done prior to painting), and paint dropped on new cabinets. Particularly dissatisfying was the fact that room wall paint needed to be touched up after the crew already had taken all their equipment and the extra paint out of house. They had new paint mixed which did not match the original wall color. I was asked what happened to the extra paint, to which I explained it was not left behind, only to be asked at least two more times about paint that was not left behind. Felt like they did not believe me which as a customer is very dissatisfying.

Gordon and his team were a pleasure to work with. Gordon replaced our wood decking with Trex and repainted the railing. Gordon was very helpful evaluating our options for the project. His price was very fair and the quality of the work was good. Having a contractor that you can trust is very important and Gordon earned that trust.

Went very well! Had a number of trials and tribulations as the house was built in 1928! GR Contracting was able to get our projects done to our satisfaction! Liked all the subs! The owner Gordon Rudd is easy to work with and is very conscientious.

Gordon and his crew did an awesome job on finishing our basement. Gordon came out in a timely fashion and gave us a quote for the work we desires. He was upfront about costs and options, including what he provided and what he did not provide. The team completed a bathroom, bedroom, office area and large family room in our unfinished lower level. He gave us exact instructions for what materials we needed to purchase and a time line for getting them. They worked on all aspects of the remodel, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry (doors/baseboards),tile work, and more. They do install hardwood/laminate, but we went with carpet which we purchased and had installed separately. The finished project turned out fabulously! Gordon even supplied a cleaning after the remodel was complete. We would recommend GR contracting for your remodeling needs.

We were very happy with Gordon and his team and we love our new basement. Our basement remodel included a full bathroom build-out (including moving the rough-in plumbing), kitchenette/wet bar, bedroom, window installation, installing a "thin brick" wall, flooring (GR doesn't do the carpet), stair case finishing and restructuring, and all associated carpentry/electrical. Our basement is over 1,000 square feet... I believe GR Contracting finished 90% - less the mechanical rooms. Highlights: Our carpenters were polite, good with our kids and dogs, and were amenable to some changes that came up at different times. We also really liked our plumber. The work site was generally kept clean. Gordon himself is professional and very responsive. I have a tendency to text things at random hours and more often than not, Gordon responded within and hour or two. Opportunities: We had some communication gaps with the electrician, but ultimately things were made right. There was not a gap in electrical quality or anything like that, just breakdowns in communication that I'd want to make sure are addressed for future work. The project ran a solid 45 days beyond what was originally projected, but some of that was inspection scheduling related... and it should be expected that project schedules are rarely perfect. We're happy with the work and Gordon's team and will use them again. I'd encourage future clients to communicate early and often with Gordon on every detail. For instance, placement of outlets, function of switches, finishing carpentry (e.g. stair cases, etc...) Just make sure both parties are clear on what is in scope (these were some issues we had to resolve, and did so successfully with Gordon).
