Fischer Decks

Brad returned my initial phone call within minutes. After talking to several contractors that were not a good fit for the job I knew within minutes I found the right person. I had other contractors tell me the job was too small and they'd have to over charge in order to cover their crew's paycheck. Another wondered out loud how they would even be able to do what we were asking. (Clearly NOT a good fit.) It was looking pretty dismal. Then I decided to search again on Angie's List and expand the search area and found Fischer Decks. It was clear that Brad was knowledgeable about building decks. We liked that he specialized in decks rather than someone who has only done a few decks. Brad came out to see the area and walk us through design and material options. He brought a portfolio of work to look through and it was very impressive. He worked up a formal estimate later that night and we agreed to the design and price and chose to use cedar wood. Brad called us up and told us he would be able to start ahead of the original estimated date. After the initial day it began to rain for several days delaying the job. Once the rain stopped Brad and team were back out to complete the deck. It is perfect! We have stained it and love using the pool again. We are already recommending Fischer Decks to friends, family, and neighbors.

Brad was very prompt and even before the deck was started he answered my many questions since i was having it built around a new hot tub. He always returned my calls quickly. The deck was completed in about a week and he completed any little things we asked him to. His work is amazing.

We needed a large (12' x 32and quot;) two level deck and enclosed area on the deck. Brad promptly returned my call and came to our house to review and recommend, based on our needs. He had a book showing many samples of his work which helped us, as well as his suggestions. His cost estimate was very good. Due to circumstances not related to him, we have postponed the job, but hope to hire him in the near future.

Brad was our contact guy for the company, and he was very professional and easy to talk to. He listened to what we wanted and then made some nice suggestions of his own, which turned out to be some of the nicest parts of the project. When I look at the deck, and quot;QUALITYand quot; just screams at me! I am so impressed with the entire project, I wish I had some thing else for him to build for me right now, Honestly you cannot go wrong if you hire Brad to do the work. Top notch workmanship and attention to details makes a for a fantastic final project. Very affordable as well!

All phases went as expected.

Brad came out and quoted the job. After receiving two other quotes, I chose to work with Brad. He was punctural with his communication and I felt comfortable with his skills. He stripped the old material off the first day and replace the decking over the next two days. I'm pleased with the results.

The experience was great! We contacted Brad in May after being very disappointed with the bids/designs submitted by other contractors. Brad listened to what we wanted (simple--not elaborate and not so big as to overwhelm the house). We dragged our feet, got busy, etc. and it took us a while to get the village approvals. Called Brad around August 1, fully expecting that it would be months before he could start. We were thrilled that he was able to start in about a week. The project took a little longer because we had several days of complete rain out. However, it was completed in about 2 weeks. There were a few unantipated things. Like their drill hit bedrock or buried concrete or something, so we had to adjust the design to accomodate where the posts go. There were also some landscaping rocks in the way, but Brad's crew removed them so they could install the skirting. They also removed a broken gas grill for us. The result is great. The new deck offers us a lot of entertaining space, flows nicely from the house, and the workmanship is fantastic. The railings are of the quality you might find INSIDE the house. All scraps were cleaned up, and we are very pleased.

Brad came out and gave us an estimate for a cedar deck. He was very knowledge and friendly. Gave us ideas and helped make the right decision for the size of our yard. Within a week the deck was completed and looks great!. He also gave us a good recommencdation for the products to use in sealing and staining for the future.

They were on time for the estimate. Dan was very knowledgable. He was able to give me the actual estimate within two days.

Overall, the jobs went well and were performed in a timely and professional manor. There were a couple of minor issues and being a perfectionist, I had to "choose my battles" but the issues that I chose to bring up were satisfactorily remedied. Brad is a professional and understands how to work with customers and keep them informed about the job and timing issues etc., which is something that is hard to find.

Pretty good- minor problems, but quickly corrected. Did a very good job overall and I would recommend him.

Brad was always professional, courteous, and communicated with us every step of the way. He certainly knows his industry and provides quality workmanship. The employees on his crew were also very courteous. In the beginning of the project, Brad spent a considerable amount of time helping us understand our product and material options, as well as the permit and zoning processes that we needed to follow. He made several noteworthy recommendations along the way. My wife and I would highly recommend Brad and his team to anyone who is looking to pursue a similar project.

Work was started on time and if Mr. Fischer could not be there on a specific day during construction he called to let me know. Everything was done in a very professional manner and we are very satisfied with the job that was done. The work area was completely clean when the work was completed. We would definitely use his services again and would recommend him to anyone else.

Came and gave estimate. He was the low bidder. When I choose him, he scheduled the job, then came and did it in a reasonable amount of time was business like. When additional work was needed, he ask a reasonable additional fee. He was quite fair and prompt.

Brad was responsive and kept us well informed at every turn. Both Brad and Don made a great team and worked quickly and effectively. The work was completed within one week. We are pleased with the new deck and would definitely use them again.

The decks are beautiful, and we could not be happier! This is the third time we have utilized the services of Fischer Decks- The main reason overall would have to be the first time was for a very large pool deck that spans approx 67 feet in length-After many estimates, Fischer was the only one that was going to build it a certain way so that the railing would not sway over the years-This is the 14th year of that deck and it still looks like the day we built it- We then had a tiki bar bulit by them at the pool area, and it too is strong and has held up very well. Our past experiences with this company are why we used them again, and would highly recommend to anyone who wants it done right!

Brad kept me informed of his progress and the deck was built in approximately 1 week (we had quite a few rain delays!) We were very satisfied with their work and thought their fee was reasonable. I would highly recommend Fischer Decks to anyone needing a deck. They hauled away the old deck and cleaned everything up when they were finished. They were very professional. Our deck looks very nice!

We selected Fischer Decks from a flyer we received in our neighborhood. We had several quotes and chose them because they were the best value and Brad seemed very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Their crew was extremely accommodating with our requests (this was our first time building a deck and had lots of questions) and they communicated every step of the way. Brad helped with our design, handpicked our cedar wood, helped us find the perfect railings and did everything above and beyond our expectations. They just finished work today and I have to say we LOVE LOVE LOVE our new deck and would recommend Fischer Decks to any of our neighbors and/or family!

They took pride in their work which was hard to find. They did a good job for less than the other companies we got quotes from.

Due to surprises, such as insect nests, joist exposures, interior floor exposures, roofing issues, Brad and his team had handled it well with ease. The job was completed in the appropriate amount of time. There was one section that didn't get sealed and Brad returned in within a few days to complete it.

We gathered 4 different estimates and Fischer Decks was the lowest by far. Brad was here almost every day, overseeing and completing the work himself, along with 3 other workers. He was easy to work with, communicated with us very well and definitely took pride in his work and wanted us to be happy. Once the demolition work started, the crew was here to work every day. Our final price was higher that the estimate due to upgrades we requested and areas of rotten framing that had to be replaced.

We couldn't be more pleased. Brad did a fabulous job. He had to feather in new pieces of wood and it couldn't look better. He built stairs where there were none. He replaced a whole bunch of pieces of rotting wood. The porch looks marvelous. He came out one day to give us an estimate, dropped the estimate off the next day and was able to start on the the project the next week. His price was great and he cleaned up everything. I would recommend Fischer Decks to anyone who needs work done. You couldn't go wrong.

Brad Fischer met with us to discuss our ideas to expand our existing deck. We chose Fischer Decks from two quotes because Brad seemed very knowledgeable, friendly, and experienced. His quote was the lowest and he could start right away. We had some problems acquiring the permit, Brad was very helpful. Communication, punctuality, and quality were all top notch.
