Andy walked us through the process start to finish. Frankly, we should have stained the deck a few weeks ago before the temperature dropped (it is now mid October). Because of the cold temperatures and moisture - my timing mistake created a little problem when deciding on the proper stain application. Andy talked us out of the expense stain in favor of an inexpensive waterproofer that would protect our deck over the winter but would be easily stained over next season for a professional look. I questioned the approach of hiring Andy this season and next so I called the pros at a paint store to get their opinion. They explained that Andy was right - if the weather dropped below 50 degree or rained within 3 days of staining the new deck (which it did and would continue as it is now mid October) a quality stain would trap the moisture into the wood and certainly peel off. This peeling would cause costly sanding, repair and powerwashing time next season. That said, Andy's smart approach will not only provide a professional look, but will not end up costing me more money in the long run and save me the headache! We were trilled that Andy didn't just take our money and run.

I left Andy a voice mail and he returned my call within and hour. We spoke on the phone for about 15 minutes to discuss the job. He was very polite and professional. He showed up on time for the in house estimate (and even took off his shoes before I had to ask). He delivered his price as promised and even finished the job a few hours earlier than we expected. The job was very well done and I still can t believe how nicely the wall repair and patches turned out (apparently they also do drywall installation work and it showed). Andy and his crew were extremely careful with our furniture and carpet and kept everything covered with drop cloths so the paint was only on the walls. All they left behind where freshly painted walls that looked brand new; not a single drop of paint missed its mark!
