+ 0 moreNathan Iffrig and his expert assistant handled the job of staining and sealing our eight, new oak doors. All of the doors had to be removed and the staining and sealing process was done outdoors to limit our exposure to the product fumes. They had to match the doors to certain wood features and they were very creative and successful to the staining of the doors. They are experts at what they do and I highly recommend them. Although I wish they weren't so busy since they are very successful.
Description of Work: We have used Iffrig Brothers in the past. We hired them for an unusual job, this go around. We had all of our interior doors replace and we needed to have them stained and sealed.

Your attention to detail from sanding every nook and cranny, matching the stain, making the new hardware ?work? when it wasn?t an exact duplicate from the previous one and cleaning the windows once it was all done was very much appreciated! Description of Work: After they had done a previous service for us (interior painting), we were happy to learn that they do exterior doors. We were so pleased with our first experience, we knew could not go wrong. Nate and his team did a bang-up job as usual and it was truly an enjoyable experience. They were meticulous on how they approached the job: taking off the doors, removing old finish, sanding them, staining them, and putting on 4 coats of varnish. I'm happy to report that the doors survived the brutal St Louis summer and I'm sure will do just as well this winter.

+ 1 moreThey were professional , friendly, prompt, fast, did great work and even offered to work on the weekend in order to meet our deadline, which wasn't necessary after all, due to rain. We are recommending them to friends already.
Description of Work: Our contact for the original bid was done soon after I called. Everything for the bid was explained carefully and options were discussed . He was professional and friendly. We got another equally good bid but chose Iffrig Brothers because they were willing to get us in before a rather fast deadline. I especially appreciated their cheerfulness about that because ours was a small job and not likely to make them a huge profit. They stripped off 3 old layers of wallpaper , patched a lot of holes, smoothed out the surface and painted , including walls , windows and door. It looks like a brand new room, considering it is an old home with many flaws. They worked very quickly--done in a day and a half, cheerfully, neatly, and left no mess. They also were kind enough to take the time to advise my husband on some painting he was doing in another room.

+ 0 moreThis is the second house that the Iffrig Brothers have painted for us. Each house started with white walls and by the end every room had a different color. Nathan helped us coordinate colors to make sure each room went together and never steered us in the wrong direction. Adam and his crew showed up early everyday, got the furniture moved and the rooms prepped and started painting before I even left for work. We had a few extra things we wanted done along the way and Adam took care of it all. We get many compliments from family and friends and would definitely recommend Iffrig Brothers Painting!

As a university professor who teaches consumer behavior and services marketing, I am especially sensitive about the cusomer relationship side of such transactions. Iffrig Brothers gets an A+.
Description of Work: Drywall repairs and painting in a laundry room damaged from a water pipe leak. The service was outstanding. Friendly, reliable, top-notch painters. The best home repair service of any type I ever received.

He's incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, and offered great suggestions for some tricky areas in our 125+ year old home. We appreciated his professionalism and his very calm demeanor. The quote came quickly and with various options (items we could add, as well as ways we could save money); it was easy to understand and in line with our expectations. The crew arrived right on schedule every day, often starting at 7am and always working diligently and around our schedule. Just like Nathan, every person was super professional. Meticulous attention to detail, and quality workmanship all around. Adam Iffrig went above and beyond to help us swap out two light fixtures (the team removes and replaces all fixtures when painting), and even pointed out a faulty light switch that needed immediate attention. We're incredibly pleased with Iffrig Brothers' work... so much so, that we've scheduled them to return and refinish all of our exterior doors.

The furniture was moved and all areas were covered with tarps. We only wanted our walls painted with paint we purchased and didn't have the ceiling or trim done.

+ -1 moreI was out of town, and they kept in touch with me. I had to send them a key, and they sent it right back to me when they were through. We returned to find the apartment looking pristine. The Iffrigs also were willing to clean a high vent that we could not reach, for which we paid them a little extra. We were pleased with their work, and I have recommended them to our son.

+ 3 moreThe work went very smoothly and quickly. All of the workers were professional and extremely neat and careful in their work. Also, we had other contractors scheduled and those schedules slipped. The Iffrig Brothers were very kind and flexible in adjusting their own work schedule to allow for contractor slippages. The work was completed in a matter of days (3 days). I might, also, add that they have a great working knowledge of home rehab issues.
Description of Work: Sometimes I wonder why am I subscribing to Angie's List? Is it not just a glorified Yellow Pages? But then I find a company like Iffrig Brothers Painting and I am back in the Angie's List fold. Nathan and Adam Iffrig are the brothers. We are restoring an old 1954 vintage ranch house. We needed the master bedroom painted. The project involved not just painting but extensive plaster and dry wall repair. Also, one wall was cover in a dark wood paneling. This wall needed not just painting but a complete refurbishing. Nathan did the estimating and recommended several solutions for the hideous paneled wall. He, also, provided advise on setting up an accent wall. Adam and his crew did an outstanding job in painting the room. Correct in every detail. Adam, also, provided the carpentry expertise in tackling the wood paneling. He was able to create a mission style wall in keeping with the design upgrade for our ranch house. I would have to say that his carpentry skills match his excellent painting skills. When we have replenished our rehab coffers, we will definitely have the Iffrig Brothers back out to finish painting our great room and kitchen. Simply put, these guys are the best. Thank you Angie's List.

+ 0 moreNathan came to the house to provide an estimate and made some helpful suggestions. After we signed the contract, Nathan had us meet with the color consultant from their paint company. I am very indecisive and was having trouble choosing colors, and this meeting was very helpful and productive. Nathan and Adam completed the job in the projected four days, and it looks beautiful! We would definitely hire Iffrig Bros. again and have recommended them to friends!

Nathan was great - he was very helpful in thinking through how and what to paint our two rooms, and provided a professional, written quote shortly thereafter. I regret that we weren't able to hire them, because I am confident they would have done a great job. We will call them next time we need some painting done!

+ -1 moreNathan and team did an excellent job. Nathan had stopped by initial to perform an estimate for us - and gave us some insights on what we should do regardless of the service provide we use. He also helped us inventory the left over paint that we gained from the purchase of our house. The team showed up, were highly professional, and quick. We were particularly impressed with the baseboard painting - when we've used other painters or done ourselves, we seemed to always get paint on the carpet - from Iffrig, nothing at all - excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring a paint job on the interior - big or small.

+ 0 moreIt took approximately 1.5 days for the crew to paint 4 large rooms (including ceilings) as well as our stairwell/upper floor hallway. Several nail holes/cracks in the walls were repaired/filled as well. We had 2 "accent" walls. The crew was prompt, and everyone was very nice. They were considerate and careful with our furniture; everything was covered well and then re-put back in the correct place when they finished. I was very happy with the quality of the painting done!

They were professional, knowledgeable, offered excellent ideas for trim, were easy to work with, and their work was impeccable. They took extra measures to make sure our house was completed in the best possible way. At the end of each day they were immaculate about cleaning up around the house. Iffrig Brothers Painting was more expensive than some other estimates we obtained but they were worth every penny and we highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Exterior of our stucco house was painted; however, in addition to painting they power-washed all layers of previous paint, filled any noted cracks, repaired/replaced damaged/rotted wood, and fixed other minor problems they ran across during the job.

He came over exactly when he said he would and was very accomodating. He was extremely professional and an easy person to talk to. He finished the work very efficiently and it looks beautiful! We couldn't be more pleased. It was very reasonable especially since he did us a huge favor by doing the work so quickly. Excellent service and a really nice guy! I would HIGHLY recommend his company to anyone I know (and will!)
