Rock border was done great! Beautiful border. From there it went downhill. Redid the beds in the front of the house. Laid a soaker hose system which was suppose to be UNDER the weed mat, but laid on top of the mat. Tom SWORE that was the correct way, but as would be expected, the soaker hose came through the trap rock on top and had to be removed. Plants were placed into the ground without and depth (the ones that died we replaced and found them sitting on top of the soil) and without opening up the roots. Pulled out of the container and just stuck on the ground. Numerous plants died. He swore he would come back and finish, but never did. Made the terrible mistake to pay him in full BEFORE all of the work was completed. BIG MISTAKE!! Our opinion of Tom went from "Whatever Tommy says we go with!" to "Whatever Tom says you go the other way!" From believing this guy was the best and fairest thing that hit landscaping, to NEVER hiring him again for another job! If you do hire him, and his stone work is truly outstanding, watch him carefully and DO NOT PAY HIM IN FULL UNTIL THE WORK IS COMPLETELY FINISHED! This experience was EXTREMELY upsetting!
