The Maningers arrived at the time they promised and were very careful to put drop cloths down and to seal off the fireplace while drilling for item 1 above. They took precautions to minimize the soot and dust in our living space. While drilling in the firebox, they created a makeshift tent with a vent to draw the dust outside, rather than filling our home with the fine soot and dust. We appreciated their extra effort in minimizing the clean-up. They swept up and wiped away as much of the dust as they could. They finished the job in a timely manner and in the time they promised. They stayed as long as it took on the first day to get the job done so as not to drag out our home being disrupted by this dirty job. My husband researches everything and had a pretty good idea of what was needed and had been given a much larger quote by a chimney company. The Maninger's assessment proved they are knowledgeable, experienced, and they did not add any "surprises" to the job than what they originally saw was needed and quoted (rare for contractors!). We were pleased with the finished product...they did an incredible job matching the old mortar and you cannot tell where the new meets the old. Though we have not yet used the fireplace this season to speak to the efficacy of the air intake valve, we are pleased with the work that was performed by Maninger Masonry.

We spent about $6800 on that service. We like everything about him. He is a nice man and he is always on time. His prices are fair and he does wonderful work. Every time we need masonry work, we would use him.
