Eventually it did get completed but it took longer than expected. We're real happy with the installation. They came four times to try to correct it. There was a series of problems. We were without a bathroom for six weeks.

Preliminary down payment was paid February 3, 2015. Project was not completed until March 27, 2015. Workmen were extremely slow and not very professional at all. The first shower head they installed only trickled water, and we had to call them back again to change it. The original job quote was 4514.19. We ended up paying $5256.48. We had another company install new stool and drain pipe. The owner/salesman was great at making promises, but we really had to keep after them to finish the job satisfactorily.
Description of Work: Remove fiberglass shower, installed new pipe and backing and tile with grout and seal, install shower doors. Installed shower head and bathroom sink faucet.

The completed project exceeded our expectations. The work was perfection, the cost was reasonable & the guarantees were a satisfying experience. We highly recommend the Ty-Cour Team. We know with Ty-Cour you will get the best service & products in the area.
Description of Work: We are totally satisfied & excited with our new total kitchen makeover by Ty-Cour Enterprises Inc. Their experienced designers interviewed my husband & I to comprehend what we wanted. Their advice, suggestions & displays helped make our decisions. Ty-Cour sent very exacting & professional technicians to do our entire kitchen that included a new floor, cabinets, electric wiring, lights, installation of new appliances, tile backsplash, and many other decorative touches. In two of our bathrooms they also installed new sinks, cabinets, toilet, & flooring. All of this remodel was within our budget as stated above of $40,000.00 including very high end cabinents.

Response from TyCour Kitchen & Bath
Ty-Cour Kitchen & Bath specializes in design, installation and showroom sales. [Member's name removed] approached us to help her with project in her kitchen. She wanted drywall work, flooring, drywall work, ceiling, painting and insulation done in her kitchen. Because of a large work load, we offered to help her with her project using a contractor in her area. We have done business with this contractor for 20 years. The company name is Hoggat Construction and the owner was introduced to [Member's name removed] by Bob Crews in her home. The project was explained to Mr Hoggat by [Member's name removed]. A contract was written for the agreed amount and a deposit was submitted. During the project several additional items were requested by [Member's name removed]. She was given a price for the add ons. At the completion of the original contract payment in full was made after her inspection and approval of the project. She refused to pay for the add ons and stated they should have been in the original project. After tactfully trying to rectify the situation, [Member's name removed] still refused to pay for the add ons. After deliberation we realize we have no choice but to persue legal action. This project was completed over a year and a half ago and were made aware by Angie's List that [Member's name removed] just recently became a member. We are involved in over 30 projects a month and never have a problem with customer satisfaction.

It became clear to me over time that he was not very interested in my project. There scheduling issues and when I finally did get the estimate it was not what I wanted. I have decided to us the deal.

In one word, excellent. From the initial planning to the execution they took their time to ensure everything was in order and done right. The cost was very competitive compared to the other bids we received and as a wholesale operation they were able to get better prices on the tub and hardware than other places we looked. Brett and Andy, who performed the work, were great which is important when you have a two year old and 2 large dogs running around. Bottom line we are very happy with the work performed and will use again in the future.
Description of Work: Complete tear out and renovation of the master bath. Open shower design with rain can shower head, pebbled shower floor, new floor and shower tile, vanity, sinks and bathtub.

Purchased deal Octpber 4, 2013 and expressed desire to have work done in the second week in November (ready for Thanksgiving). Got an estimate after sales person came out for $6,000 on top of the 'big deal' that estimate took 10 days. (Each estimate took a week to 10 days), we ended up with a second estimate for $13,000, and a third that I shaved down to $3,400. That was the bare bones of re-doing just the shower which is what the big deal was for. They wanted half to start, $1,700. I sit here with a check for $1,700 dated 12/6/2013, (I still had hopes for Christmas). On 12/19, I get a call saying they will be here for the deposit check on 12/20 and will start the job approximately 1/5/2014. At that point , I am out. My concentrations have to be put into relocating the Christmas celebration. That is after cancelling the Thanksgiving dinner. I sure thought October 4th was enough time to replace a shower stall or re-do a very small bathroom, I mean that is 5-6 weeks.

So far so good! They listened to what I wanted as an extension to the service that I purchased originally, then gave me three clearly itemized options. They did not pressure me at all when I did not choose the most expensive option. We took lots of time at their showroom/ warehouse, they patiently answered the bazillion questions I asked, they offered many options and alternatives, and they were respectful of my expanding budget - always were upbeat and honest. Great experience so far; actual construction starts in January, but so far the experience has been awesome!

I had seen the Ty Cour Bath re-tiling add for about month (Sept/Oct) and decided to move on the ad as the price seemed excellent. I made the payment on-line and called the contractor to come out to make the official estimate. I was allowing the fact that every situation is different and that the payment was really just a down payment as additional work always seems to be needed. We set an apt for Weds, Oct 23rd, 10AM. When the contractor hadn't showed up by 10:20, I called the Ty Cour office. It sounded as though it was somebody's wife that answered and I could hear the muffled conversation taking place as she was explaining to him that a customer was questioning her about a missed apt. Adrenaline rushed through my body as I was fearing the loss of my money. She apologized for the missed apt and explained they had really been "slammed" by additional business this morning and asked if I could reschedule. I was very reluctant be thought I would give them a chance as I really need this work done. I rescheduled for 9AM the following day. When the contractor did not call me between 8:30 - 9am to let me know he was on his way, I became nervous. When the contractor was not in at my house at 9am, I was angry. I called Angie's List at 9:05 and asked about initiating a refund. While on the phone with CS, the contractor showed up. When the contractor showed up, I let him wait on the porch until I finished with Angie's List customer service rep, and then I told him to get off my property. I have a basement bathroom that is still unserviceable due to shoddy workmanship from a "cheap" contractor. Not again! This is WHY I joined Angie's List. To stop shoddy workmanship and irresponsible people from making money off me! If you can't make your appointments for estimate, what does that say about your ability to accurately bid a job? Remodeling a bathroom is a time critical task and making timely appointments and keeping them says a lot to me about the quality of your workmanship.
Description of Work: No call, no show on first apt for estimate on Oct 23rd. I had to call them. Profuse apology's ensued followed by a rescheduling for the following day. At 9AM, the time of the apt, they were not at my home. I immediately called Angie's List customer service. While on the phone with AL, CS, the contractor shows up 5 minutes late. Too late. Confidence blown.

Response from TyCour Kitchen & Bath
We have been in business 34 years as a design firm and wholesaler of kitchen and bath supplies. We have 5 crews installing residential and commercial bath and kitchen items. We are proud to have as accounts hospitals, universities, schools, hotels, and homeowners. (Removed Member Name) has no right to judge anyone because of bad experience with a previous contractor. His tantrum he through over what he calls 5 min. late explains the character of this individual. It is a shame that a company after working very hard for the past 34 years is being judged without 5 seconds of conversation or an opportunity to look at the project. And by the way I showed him on my cell phone that his watch was apparently 7 min. fast. How childish. Our reputation was earned through hard work and integrity. I have never had an experience like this in all of the years I have been in business. I am also appalled that he states that he has Angies list to assure him he will not have any problems regardless of how he conducts himself. In summation every day is a blessing in our opinion and should be lived as such. Have a nice day. Bob Crews President and CEO of Ty-Cour Enterprises

The installation went well and the installer was very professional.? We are extremely happy with the Flexstone product we chose for the shower.? It is a small bathroom and the shower is the showpiece of the entire room.? The shower looks amazing and seems to be exactly what we wanted for this bathroom.? Simple, very good looks, and low maintenance!
Description of Work: This is a continuation of our earlier project and part of the same plan Tycour created for us. We did it in two steps because of all the other work we needed to complete before the shower was ready for the enclosure. We had a shower enclosure constructed of a new product sold by Tycour, called FlexStone, and a shower door. The installation also included installing a glass mosaic tile we purchased ourselves.
