Solution proposed was to redo the ducting because it was the wrong style for a high efficiency furnace. He also stated that the furnace was wired incorrectly... Not the most efficient settings... He seemed quite forward thinking. I just didn't want to spend the money estimated to fix this problem.

Synergy arrived an hour after I called. The men did a comprehensive testing and inspection, informed me (and had researched in advance!) of my warranty opportunities, and gave me the good news that I neither needed a new heat exchanger nor a new furnace. They were exceedingly comprehensive in their explanation, never put down the firm that tried to bilk me, and they thorough and comprehensive in presenting options. They were articulate and professional, and -- even when I offered -- they accepted no pay from me for this visit. Synergy will be my company of choice. The other company will be chagrined to learn that the firm which I lead (which has, in the past used their services) will also no longer be using them. I will recommend Synergy to our building engineers.

Prompt response for service. 17 year old unit that was done. Final price was as quoted. Professional advise as to the carrier and size. Professional installation. Came back the next day to recheck. Clean.

There were delays in that the horizontal drilling was attempted but not successful. The workmanship was GREAT. They indicated they would rather take longer and do it right. They put together a heating / cooling system solution that is both elegant (rack system) and excellent. They made it easy to service and they did not cut any corners. They did more that what was specified in the contract without charging more. If I want any geothermal work done in the future I will definitely use them!!!

Another local company told us we had to wait WEEKS for a new part they said we needed. Plus, because we had missed the warranty by two weeks, we were going to be out over $400 for the part alone! I thought that odd, so called Synergy. They came same day I called. Looked over furnaces and found the claimed broken part was not broken at all. The main problem was corrosion that needed to be cleaned out. Since he didn't have the time to clean it that day, he asked to come back the following day (today), clean all the corrosion off and see if he couldn't get the furnace running. And he did. Oh yeah, and he didn't charge us for that initial visit! ZERO$$$ He did notice that the inducer was going bad. It was also two weeks past warranty, but Tom went to bat for us with York, who did the right thing by us and honored the warranty. We will be getting a new inducer in a couple days for the cost of labor only. He also looked up our furnaces and found that the first company had only registered ONE of the two units. So one has a 10 year warranty, and the other only 5!!!! We shouldn't even be having any discussion about any part being just out of coverage on a barely five year old furnace, but we are thanks to first company. Plus, their bad treatment in misdiagnosing current problem and not being willing to fight for warranty coverage and telling us it would take WEEKS to get a part it should have only taken days to do, was all done with us being a paid member of their continued maintenance services!!!! Save yourself the headache, and money, and GO WITH SYNERGY IN THE FIRST PLACE!
