. They did a number of things wrong. On the gable roof section they strped all of the old roofing material off down to the plywood so when the rest of the roof was installed the new shingles dipped down at the gables. The fix that ws offered and we accepted was installing new shingles under the striped off area which raised the new roof .What was also is install the vents after the roof was on in that process they cut two new vent holes and left two old vent holes covered only by shingles.

They had a good price, they were about $800.00 cheaper than any other bid. They were prompt. I am satisfied with the roof.

Instant Roofing has been working on a neighbor's roof on 20th Street for the past 4 days and for the past 4 days, myself and several of the other neighbors have been picking up pop cans, bottles, food wrappers and other "lunch" and "break" food debris from our yards and street in front of our homes where they parked up around the corner and took their lunch and breaks. Today, they threw a foam seat cushion that was no good into the easement in front of a neighbor's yard so at that point, we contacted the roofer at the number displayed on the van of 815-222-5442 and when the "gentleman" (and I use that term loosely) answered the phone, he was immediately and unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I asked him if he was working on site in the area of 20th Street and 19th Avenue and he immediately became defensive, raised his voice and asked me "What do you have to hide because people who block their numbers have something to hide!" I told him I was merely calling to ask if he would ask his crew to please stop throwing their lunch/food debris into the street and easement area of neighboring yards. This man became more belligerent and aggressive and continued to raise his voice and kept saying "you got something to hide" because I had blocked my number. I maintained my composure and told him I did not intend to offend Instant Roofing, but again asked if he would please just ensure his team would stop littering and after he continued to snap at me, he retorted he would take care of it and hung up on me. Instant Roofing was beyond unprofessional and I was taken aback at his behavior. Between my neighbors and myself, we have used contractors in the neighborhood based on seeing the job they do and how they handle themselves and I speak not only for myself but for several other neighbors when I say we went from being a potential customer to steering far away from Instant Roofing! I cannot begin to imagine how this company would treat you if you had issues with a roof they did!

Beware of this company! We hired Instant Roofing to do a complete tear off and install a new roof. We were told this consisted of removing the old roof, laying down new tar paper, and installing a new roof. Upon completion the roof looked beautiful and we paid the bill in full. The first time it rained after their installation our skylights leaked. We called and complained. They came back right away and claimed to fixed the problems. The next time it rained we had leaks again. This time the owner of the company showed up with a huge bucket of tar and slathered it all around our skylights and different areas of the roof. My husband happened to notice what he was doing and was livid. Our brand new roof was now covered with blotchy ugly tar puddles here and there! My husband told him to stop immediately which he did. After he left my husband went on the roof to try an remove the tar. It was at this time he noticed that they tore off the old roof but did not lay down new tar paper. No wonder our roof leaks! The old tar paper underneath is all ripped and full of holes!!! Unfortunately between the time we paid this shady company and the rain came to expose them the check had cleared and we had no recourse except to try and recoup our money in small claims court. Just a bit of information for those of you who don't know....even if you take someone to small claims court and win the judgment that does not guarantee you will get your money returned. The judge orders repayment but if they don't repay you it involves repeated costly trips back to court until you finally give up. I would NEVER use this company! Not even to roof a doghouse!

I spent about $6,000 on the job. They did an excellent job. I think a lot of people have used them in my neighborhood. Everybody liked them. They were accurate about their estimate; they came within the price that they had quoted. They did the work in a timely manner. They were professional. If I had a question regarding something, they took care of it. They did a good cleanup. So, there was not a lot left to pick up after they left. I would recommend them to others.
