Carlson Heating And Cooling

My renter had issues with the back room not getting enough heat. My building has a long rung from my furnace . Mike gave me a great response time and my renter was very happy with the results . I going to keep Mike on my team for a very long time .

He contacted me immediately after I sent out a request. We scheduled a time for him to meet me at my home to fix my furnace. He kept in contact with me the next day as to an approximate time he would be at my house. He & his son were fast informative and very helpful. He explained what was wrong and I would highly recommend this company to everyone!

Very quick and prompt. Found the problem and left right away to get the replacement motor. Called in back and returned before the day was out even though he had to go to a scheduled appointment in between.

Our heater went out on a Saturday night. Jim Holder quoted us 180.00 just to come out to the house and they said that it wouls be at least 3 hours before they could come out. Carlson's came out right away. It was only 70.00 for him to come to the house and fix the problem. There was a fuse that had blown and was stuck. The heater was over heating. I will use him for all of my heating and cooling needs in the future.

This went great! Mike came out the very same day that we called--- a very hot September day. He quickly identified the problem and was able to schedule a return visit for the next day to do the repair. Repairs were quick and reasonably priced. I would definitely call him again... for service and for repairs.

Mike installed a new furnace for us, and we are very happy we had it done. We've used Carlson Heating and Cooling several times, and this time was no different. Mike gave us the information we needed to make a decision and installed the new furnace in a timely manner. We trusted him in our home with our kids and pets around some of the time. Mike if very laid back and not pushy so don't expect him to steer you where he wants you. You'll make the decision.

I called Carlson and they were able to schedule my immediate appointment request. Carlson came over and after trying to save the air conditioner by replacing a part, the unit was pronounced dead. He called for the replacement cost and I asked for pricing on one size bigger, after we decided we need a larger unit, he order the replacement air conditioner for next day installation. He arrived exactly on-time for the appointment and increased the air conditioner capacity to fit the actual size. The appointment was finished under the estimated time and they were very courteous through the entire experience. While replacing the air coil, Mike showed me the location for the furnace and humidifier filter allowing me to change it myself. After replacing the air conditioner and removing the old one - he made sure that I had the information needed and made sure that if we had any questions to call his office. Great service and great/honest serviceman. I'll not call anyone else for future HVAC matters and wouldn't hesitate to only shop here when it comes time for me to replace other units. Second great round of service - last time was middle of winter and arriving home from out-of-town with no heat, he was wonderful replacing heater during the negative temperatures.

Arrived the morning of the call. Fixed the air conditioner quickly. Was prompt and professional.

Mike came in and did an inspection along with a quick follow up repair. Very professional and forthcoming, would definitely use Carlson again.

Called Carlson and Mike responded to initial call and he responded right away and said he would be over mid afternoon later the same day and he was. When Mike got there he was told the problem which was that the pipes inside the home were observed with water on them on Saturday and thus the unit was shut off because it appeared the pipes were freezing up. Immediately Mike stated problem must be thermastat and went running to his work vehicle to retrieve a brand new thermastat as this is likely the problem. Homeowner continues to say that the heat was able to function and fan and thus it may not be thermastat and reminds Carlson about the water on furnace and pipes and it seems like this is going in one ear and out the other. Carlson did go outside and check freon and said that was ok and decided that since the air was working when he turned it on that it was fixed after he installed the thermastat. So next day sometime during the work day the unit stops working again and by the time we noticed this after our workday there is lots of water on pipes and furnace and we shut off the unit again. Called Carlson back again he comes back with his son he goes to the furnace and comes back saying...I don't know I opened it up and there is a big chunk of ice up there and i don't know what the problem is for sure because I can't see it(this was on a Tuesday) I am making lots of work for myself here, I wouldn't be able to come back until Saturday at the earliest. Asked Mike if he wanted to work as it seems like he doesn't want to do the job and he shrugged...suggested to him that he refund the money paid the day before for the thermastat and service call and we can cut our ties as it doesn't seem that he wants the job. Mike agreed to do this and went and retrieved old thermastat, reinstalled it and refunded the money. The next day I called another provider whom came over right away(I have two young children) and the circuit board of the furnace is now damaged due to all the water and the coil was clogged up...(prob the original problem) the new service provider spent 2 hours at the home and had everything running again in no time. Carlson was used because of all the positive reviews on Angies however this was a very disappointing experience and it may have cost me even more money in the end.

DAUGHTER'S FURNACE STOPPED WORKING. CALLED THIS CONTRACTOR BECAUSE OF POSITIVE REVIEWS SEEN ON ANGIE'S LIST. CALLED AROUND 5:00 PM AND HE SAID HE WOULD BE RIGHT OVER. HE WAS AND HAD THE REPLACEMENT FURNACE PART IN HIS TRUCK AND REPAIRS COMPLETED PROMPTLY. VERY, VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDED. WILL USE FOR ALL FUTURE FURNACE WORK.

Our furnace went out on 1/20/13, when the temperature was dropping below 0! Carlson was the third company that came to our house. He thought he could fix it, but after three service calls it became apparent we'd need to replace it. Carlson's quote was the best and Mike was by far the most responsive to our problem. He replaced the furnace and did not charge us for the previous service calls. Wow, talk about customer service!!

My husband used to be the fixit man for our small issues besides keeping our house intact. He is in poor health and I have to depend on outside agencies. I found Mike on Angie's List and called him. I had trouble with my humidifier attached to my furnace. I thought it might be plugged but was afraid to try to fix it myself. I called Mike. He was over at my house in a timely fashion, unplugged the clog in a minute or two and my humidifier was fixed. I liked his honest friendly attitude and his professional manner. He's my guy from now on when it comes to our furnace and air conditioner. I plan to have him come in the Spring to do a maintenance check. If I could I would give him an AA. Thanks, Mike. It's good to have a dependable person to call when I need help.

Their service was phenomenal. When he left he told us a price he thought it would be and I know the part was more than that. Since he quoted that price, he stuck with the price and he was very honest.

We were finally able to have natural gas brought to our home in the country. We had other heating/air technicians give us quotes and they wanted to sell us a new furnace eventhough our furnace was less than 15 years old and working fine. Then we tried Carlson Heating and Mike was honest and professional. He performed the services we asked for and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. He also charged a fair price. Since then, we have purchased an Aprilaire humidifier and call him when we have any heating/air problems.

I knew it would be a fairly simple fix, but I could not pinpoint it. He knew immediately what the problem was and got us up and running in only minutes. Charge was $50, which seems a fair amount to me to have someone come out to your house to do anything. He also showed me what the problem was, so if it happened again, I could do this repair myself and not have to call someone out. Easy to talk to, honest, and professional.

Mike diagnosed and resolved each and every problem with which he was presented in a timely fashion at a fair price.

He arrived on time and conducted himself professionally. He was informative about what was going on with my furnace and gave some handy tips regarding maintenance. I would recommend Carlson heating and Cooling to others... and with my Angie's List coupon the price was hard to beat.

I had a new furnace installed this past winter by a company who completely botched the installation. One of the many problems I had was that in the process of putting in a new thermostat, they disconnected the wiring from both my existing humidifer & air conditioning. They attempted 3 x to fix the problem, but each time a new problem was created. Mike Carlson made 1 trip out to the house, replaced the thermostat, and reconnected the entire system so that all was functional. I would definitely call him again.

It was an excellent experience overall. I am a business person and pretty demanding in my expectations for services and Mike met or exceeded all of them. The cleaning was not rushed. We will definitely use them again next year!
