It went great. We were going to do it ourselves, but I could not round up enough help and the weather was not cooperating with rain off and on. The house is owned by my daughter and she could not afford a professional roofer, being a single mother. I found Mark French through a carpenter friend. He was very responsive. Him and his crew of 12 roofed the house in less than 5 hours. He did as we were going to and not take layer of shingles off, instead, go over the top with the new shingles. You usually can do that without any problems.

French construction has done 7 roofing jobs and 1 siding job for me. They would have not been called back the second time if there were any questions or problems with any of the jobs. He has a good size crew to come on the job to tear off the old roof and get the new one on in1 to 1 1/2 days. This includes clean up and getting out of the way. He does good work however we found his honesty lacking. We were in the process of purchasing a home from him. After the home inspection we found out items he had listed as being part of the house were in fact not present. We then went to back out of the deal. We then met with Mark French personally without realtors at the property where he negotiated a small concession. After this we moved forward with the sale and both he and his realtor never returned our phone calls. He then went ahead and sold the home to another party. While the house was beautiful I would be concerned by his character about any promises he makes. I'd personally hate to have to deal with him to get warranty work done.

French construction employees arrived on the day as planned. They were very respectful of our property, immediately began prepping the area with tarps to ensure they captured all debris. They protected windows and doors as well as the landscaping. The crew was on site for three days. They continually cleaned any debris that fell outside the tarps and ensured the area was clean before leaving for the day. We were impressed that every employee continually watched out for their coworkers, made sure each other was working safely. They all seemed to enjoy their work, took breaks away from the house, cleaned up after themselves and took pride in their work. Mr. French kept us informed of the progress and spent time with us after the job was complete to make sure we were satisfied with his job.

Very impressed. the dumpster was here the day before. They were here before daybreak getting ready, moving anything in the way and putting up plywood to protect doors and windows on lower level. As soon as they could see they were up tearing off. I came home for lunch and they asked me to make sure the tv worked since they had to move the dish. Kids came home at 3:30 and said they were putting stuff away and walking yard with magnet and picking up any trash. gone by 4:00. Looks great. Great job.
