Very prompt and completed in one day including very thorough cleanup of the area and disposal of old material. Included replacing two skylights and flashing three others.

I called in june he came over and gave me a estimate I agreed to it said he was busy but would do it when her had a chance e-mailed him in august and ask if i was still on the list it took over a week to get a response and he e-mailed me back and said i was.then called him in sept. left a message he never returned it and the work never got done. If you want a hassle he is your guy. if he would of called me at any time to say her was to busy to do the job i would not have a problem but i hate people who dont have the courtesy to at least respond to you - ps i had to wait till the next year to get it done of course by another contractor

You actually were still on my list for repairs for this spring, but I failed to inform you of that timing this past fall. We caught ourselves swamped with the hail storms and could not keep up with the repair work. So I regret that you had a bad experience. Description of Work: 3 Velux skylights installed and old ones removed. Worked quickly and cleaned up very nicely. No problems with leaks and noticed a real improvement in heat retention with first snowfall.

We closed on the house on August 15th and the job was supposed to be completed prior to closing. Here we are a month later and they have yet to show up. Chris doesn't return calls and he has flaked out now three different times. Sais he will be here and then doesn't show. Full of excuses when you finally get through to him via text message. No call, text, or email from him when he decides not to show. Now we find ourselves with a leaky roof and a situation where we have to wait it out considering it was an escrow thing where the sellers hired him to do the job. We had some rain the other day and we actually had water coming down through the fireplace surround because the flashing around the chimney and vent is faulty. This after Chris assured me that we won't have any leaking issues because he inspected the roof himself and didn't see any cause for immediate concerns. The days of good customer service are definitely gone.
Description of Work: The house we purchased had some roof damage. This company was supposed to come out and tear off 4 feet around the entire roof and replace it. They were also supposed to replace all the nail pops and fix the vents that were installed improperly by the last roofer years ago.

I had originally told the realtor who contacted me that it was not a job I was interested in nor did I have time to do it. After chatting further I thought I could eventually work it into my schedule but it wouldn't be immediate. Once I knew I could not do the job, I let the realtor know. However, when you and I corresponded directly, I honestly got your contact information switched with another customer. When you texted me, I thought I was responding to another job, thus the reason for never showing. Again, I take full responsibility for the error and will continue to work on responding to my customers in an efficient and orderly manner. It's been a busy year. I would definately recommend C J Whiteford Roofing to anyone needing a professional roofer, at a very competitive price, providing quality, expediant workmanship, and full cleanup and debris removal after the installation is complete.
Description of Work: Our twenty-one year old roof started leaking in one of the valleys this fall. We acquired three estimates for a complete tear-off and re-shingle our three bedroom ranch with attached two-car garage and a 18' by 20' family room addition. I believe our roof took approximately 32 to 36 squares. Our three estimates ranged in price from $11,000 down to $8,400. Chris Whiteford's estimate was the lowest and he had installed a new roof on my neighbors house earlier this year and their roof looks great. Our estimates also included new 5" gutters, 3" by 4" oversize downspouts, and a fifty year waranty on the Certanteed Architectural shingles. Chris (Whiteford) and his crew were very punctual during the estimation and installation. They did a excellent, professional job and finished the roofing job within two days, exactly as estimated. One of our neighbors said our new roof looks great and makes the twenty eyar older roofs in the neighborhood look terrible in comparison. Chris contracted another company to install the new seamless gutters and downspouts. They came on the morning of the third day, did an excellent job, and finished the job shortly after noon, as Chris estimated.

Early Sept. 2012 I contacted Chris and left a msg. Within an hour he returned my call and I explained what I needed done on the roof. He said in the next day or two he would drive/stop by to see what needs to be done and then he would call me back with an estimate. A week later and he never called back. I called him 3 times over the next 3 weeks and left a msg. every time and he never returned my calls. I don't think he very reliable at all. If he doesn't want or can't do the job...say so!

Due to keeping our business small, and doing most of our work from referrals, we just are not able to take on every customer. That also means that sometimes the customer who is looking falls through the cracks. That also means that because we stay busy and do quality work we are able to choose which jobs we want to pursue and which ones we don't. I wish I would have called you back to say I couldn't do the job. I will have to do better at that. I see unfortunately that you were a potential customer twice. Most likely it is because we were inundated with so many calls that we did not ultimately choose yours. It has been an extremely stormy season this year. So it was very difficult to get a call back from some roofers. Chris called me back right away and came out the next day for an estimate. It took Chris a couple weeks to get to my chimney/roof. One roofer said it would take 6 to 7 weeks to get to me. Everything went well. Chris and the other guy were excellent. Roof looks great now. Highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: My roof was leaking around my old brick chimney. Since I no longer use this chimney, I decided it was time to take it down below the roofline and cover up the hole. Chris and another gentleman came out and took down the chimney, replaced some rotten wood, and finished it off with new shingles. Chris also hauled away all the bricks and mortar from the old chimney. It took a little more than two hours to complete.

It was real good. They got it done in a timely manner and they got it cleaned up real good when they were done with it. They were thorough, polite and professional. The price was good. They came right away. They checked back after the job was done.
