Roofs By Rodger

I had used Roofs by Rodger before and they came same day after 1 phone call and did a good job. This time it was totally different. My first phone call I left a message, no one ever called me back. My second phone call a spoke with a person who said someone would call me back about coming to do an estimate. No one ever called me back. After my third call someone came and did an estimate that same day, now a week after my first call. The estimate was left on my door and I was told I had to sign and mail it back. I couldn't approve the estimate over the phone. So I mailed it, and another weeks goes by without hearing from them. I call again and finally someone comes and fixes the roof. But they use light grey shingles on my dark grey roof. It's hard for me to believe they could not do a better color match. In the end the roof got fixed but I'm not very happy about the process or the end result.

They tore off the full roof with subcontractors and then it rained that night and the next day and we had leaks everywhere inside. They threw materials off the roof onto hostas and when I asked them to walk on the path as the guy said oh your hostas will come back after it rains! They broke a birdbath and recycled copper valleys and took the money for it. Later I had to have them come back and fix something some things another contractor saw that weren’t done quite right. Can’t make up how stressful the whole project was.

Excellent service. They came in and completed the job in one day. The yard was cleaned thoroughly and they even cleaned more than just roofing materials from the yard. They even swept out my garage. All of the people were nice and friendly from the salesperson, estimator, site foreman and workers. They came highly recommended and after getting multiple estimates they were $2,000 cheaper than all the others. Would recommend and use them again in the future.

After initial contact to arrange meeting date and time, Roofs by Rodger never followed thru to set up an appointment to evaluate and assess the problem which was causing my roof to leak.

They did the whole roof and installed gutter guards in 2 days. Great job cleaning up. Very professional and quiet other the construction going on. John King roofers were yelling at each other and cussing, which could be heard all through the neighborhood. In other words, they came , they took care of the job, they cleaned up and left. All in 2 days. I have recommended them to several people and would be glad to recommend them to strangers. Greg Tyner was my sales rep. He made good suggestions, but not overbearing. Great customer service. I just can't say enough good things about them.

They did a good job. They were tidy and they worked quickly.

The new roof is great. Due to the roof vent, air circulation is much improved. We no longer use a space heater in our bedroom. We thought we were entitled to the discount advertised on Angie's list, but because we did not mention it until after we were given the price quote we were told we did not qualify. If you mention the Angie's list discount before the price quote they can simply tack the amount on to the quote. Frankly, I feel we were cheated and the discount was always meaningless.

We couldn't be happier with the overall experience

He put a new roof on efficently, but the roof has a leak when it rains hard. I called him, and he sent someone out to fix it, but did not communicate with me to tell me that someone was coming. He sent someone over when I was not home, and no one called me to say they coming. Another rain came, and it was still leaking. I called him again, and he once again sent someone out to fix, but again did not communicate to me when they were coming, or when they finished the job. I called them and talked to the person who did the fix, and found that they had repaired the wrong part because of the lack of communication. They came back and "fixed" the right part. It rained again after that, and the roof was still leaking. I have called them yet again, and this time no one has returned my calls. It has been 4 days, and I have not heard anything from them.

The guy who came out was very personable, took the time to explain the gutter options, gave me information about the gutter guards they use. He was very thorough very professional. Once I decided to go with them they came in and out and did it in less than half a day. They came before I was even out of bed and finished. I don't even have to clean gutters anymore, which is remarkable.

There was a problem area where 2 sections of roof from an addition caused ice and snow to sit and create a leak. They explained that we didn't need a gable created because they had waterproofed the area, and completed the roof without creating the gable as I originally asked. However since the contracted price included creating a gable for this area, they came back and redid that section as asked.

That's and ldquo;Aand rdquo; across the board. A big huge windstorm that we just had nothing puts up, nothing came off and we had 50 mile an hour wind gust so they did a fantastic job. They clean up. They did it all in one day which we have a two storey house and everything was just perfect. The job was last fall. The insurance took care of it that it was right around $14,000 I think. It was the lowest price for a big house.

Did not hire this company to replace the roof

A large project that was completed in less than a month, start to finish. Very professional, very hardworking crews. They used two large crews to completely tearoff and replace two roofs a day. The project coordinator worked closely with our association in the planning stage to answer all our questions and plan the work. During construction, communication was excellent whenever the plan required modification. Field crews, foreman, and coordinator were all on the same page, a very unified team. Excellent quality work.

On time, professional and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Roof's by Rodgers showed up early Friday morning and were done and completely finished by Saturday at 12.00pm. When I arrived home and they were gone you could not even tell they had been there (except for the new roof of course). From the first time I called Roof's by Rodger I received nothing but professional service. Receptionist, Estimator, Salesman, Install Crew; nothing but top notch. I would recommend this company to anyone who asked.

Removing old shingles was huge undertaking--excellent job. However, the weather was threatening storms in the afternoon and I thought they were being overly ambitious stripping all the roof. They did get everything covered with at least the felt paper as the the storms hit, but they caused me a lot of anxiety and risked the safety of their workers. There failure to manage the weather situation with their job plan was why I down graded their professionalism. (I later learned that their regular work site supervisor was absent that day and that led to their planning problems.) Fortunately, despite a heavy rain storm, there was very limited leakage. They came back the next day and completed the work. They did an excellent job finishing the roof installation and cleaning up. Especially noteworthy was the job a couple of the workers did replacing some of the flashing. I waited a few months to give a review. I wanted to have it weather tested. Roof and gutters look good and function well.

I worked with Rick on the estimate and in getting the details of the job figured out. He was very helpful and had me look at a couple of roofs including his own for me to get a feel for the look of the shingles and quality of their work. He got me into the best shingle possible given my budget and was helpful every step of the way. The crew had the roof done in a day and a half and even came back after dark as they saw rain was a possibility and recognized that they needed to seal up some things. Their work on the other items went smoothly. Overall I am very pleased with them and the finished product.

Start to finish, everything went smoothly without any major issues. Rick was our sales contact, and he was readily available for questions and any concerns we had. He and Joe, who inspected the house, were knowledgeable and recommended a ridge vent in place of the existing box vents. We took our time in deciding to redo the roof, and Rick was very understanding. Once we made up our mind, things moved along very quickly in getting the job done. Within a week, a team of at least 10 members showed up and finished the entire process within a couple of hours. It was a demonstration of force and huge work capacity. With an outdoor project like this, one wants to avoid rain and bad weather in general. However, lately, we have been having inclement weather with rain storm in forecast everyday. It seemed impossible to schedule a date. Even on the day of roofing, we had some doubts, but Danny and his crew got through it without a hitch and worked quickly to avoid rain. It was pretty impressive. Aside from the felt over the wood, they added drip edges and placed water/ice resistant material around the perimeter. Our house had several layers of shingles and never had a tear off in the past. This was a major concern because it was hard to tell what condition the wood panels were in underneath the old shingles. Aside from the additional cost of replacing the wood, we were concerned about how the work crew would coordinate getting the wood paneling during the roofing, especially since we were faced with passing rain storm everyday. The fact that Roof by Rodger had the manpower to send out several different crews to different job sites when necessary was reassuring. We are glad to have gotten to know Rick and grateful for his recommendation on the color selection. He had a sense for what was needed for a good curve appeal.

Roofs by Rodger did an excellent job and very timely despite uncooperative weather.

They were very prompt and gave us an excellent estimate. They did the work very quickly. We appreciated everything about the service we got.

The crew arrived on time, removed the old roof, replaced it with GAF roofing, snow guard, etc., installed the ridge vent to our specifications (from one end of ridge to the other), cleaned up thoroughly, removed the dumpster and unused roofing materials promptly, and returned to fix a slight problem (extra layer of starter shingle along edge of roof, about 2 feet long). The final price was as bid. We had a good working relation with the salesman and with the crew. I appreciate their prompt return to fix the minor problem just described. My wife's happy with choice of color and quality of work - so I'm happy.

I was impressed with the work ethic of the crew. The crew worked from sunup to sundown, completing the replacement of my roof in one day.
