We are return customers, and once again Poul's service was excellent. Kelly provided personalized attention to our project, and we greatly appreciate her expertise. The crew did a wonderful job planting our trees, and communication about installation dates was prompt. They genuinely care about their customers, and have a beautiful nursery; highly recommend.

We are completely satisfied and happy with the results. The project was conducted with great care and professionalism with a small, but capable crew. The project manager (John) was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. He visited the site frequently and implemented all of our suggestions and wishes. The owners take great pride in the work and visited us to make sure we were happy. Our only complaint was the long lead time to start the project from our initial contact.

We have used Pouls on previous occasions and, as usual, they did an outstanding job! Throughout the process, they ensured we understood exactly what to expect. The quality of the lighting components and the installation and cleanup work was top-notch. I would not hesitate to recommend Pouls Landscaping to anyone.

Poul’s Landscaping is a professional and reputable landscaping company with high-quality standards. Jeff Anderson has been my main contact whilst working with this company and he has been great. He is personable, responsive, helpful and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise on plant care. Poul’s have recently renovated our front lawn which involved digging up the whole of the lawn and removing a huge amount of builder’s rubble from underneath. The rubble was so close to the surface and with such little soil, it was proving impossible to grow grass. The crew arrived promptly each day and were polite and respectful of our property. They worked extremely hard at removing all of the construction debris which was no easy task. A large quantity of top-quality soil was put down and then the new sod was laid, watered-in and leveled with a lawn roller. Unfortunately, a number of sod strips were damaged throughout this process and needed to be replaced but Poul’s came back to replace these the following week and it is now looking fantastic. Thanks to Poul’s, we eventually have a front lawn to be proud of.

For over a decade, we had been wanting to get rid of the small remaining grass sod in our front yard and replace it with mostly native plants. In 2020, we hired Poul’s Landscaping to design the new front yard and Rick did the design work. Rick totally listened to what we wanted and when he came back with his plan a week later, it was perfect! We removed almost everything that was planted in the front yard and started over. We mentioned and Rick supported removing the old, narrow, straight sidewalk and replacing it with a beautiful, curved side walk; the existing stoop was covered in stone and a second step incorporated. This alone, totally transformed the street view of our house! We absolutely love the upgraded look of the front yard and the stone work matches the color of our brick siding perfectly. They also installed a circle of stone under the bird feeder (on a Shepard’s hook), which not only looks nice, but helps the birds and squirrels find and eat all the seed, greatly reducing the little sprouts that crop up! In addition, two small stone walls and stone steps were incorporated between our yard and our neighbor’s yard (this was a joint project, with 90% of the work in our yard). The walls gave the yard a finished look. The drainage was improved, with re-grading. Rick designed the flower beds to provide color the entire year, from several types of phlox and geraniums and bushes and trees in the early spring and other flowers into the fall. The bushes, trees, geraniums and two of the phlox had already bloomed when they installed the gardens in mid-July, but the Nicky phlox, sunflowers, cone flowers and Black-eyed Susans bloomed continuously from early August and are still flowering in late September! I look out my kitchen window and see all the flowers and it is just wonderful!! Virtually everything in the yard is either native or a native cultivated variety. Natives include Little bluestem, New Jersey Tea, prairie smoke, honeysuckle bush, black chokeberry bush and tall garden phlox. Not only did Rick design for a succession of flowers throughout the year, he also designed for fall color and winter interest. I can’t wait to see the yard next spring!! The two men who worked every day for 8 days were amazing! I could not believe how hard they worked and they were absolute perfectionists. The stone work was amazing. They wore masks all day and answered all our questions. Poul’s has my very strong endorsement for their fantastic design work, quality physical work and fast response to questions. I recommend them without reservation!

We had the sump pump and gutter drainage funneled into Flo-wells that led to a rain garden. The workmanship and professionalism was superb. So far our sump pump is not turning on nearly as much as it used to, so the system is working to accomplish what we needed. But more than that, the workmanship is beautiful!!! We were so impressed that we have just asked Poul's landscaping to take care of another area in the yard that is an eyesore.

Rick Ramoser was the landscape architect we first met to work on this project. I cannot say enough positive things about him. He completely understood what we needed, gave valuable suggestions, designed a plan based on our input and then oversaw the installation. It took about a week to complete all the work and they completely transformed our overgrown backyard into a calm, serene place to now spend time with birds, bees and butterflies . The installers were wonderful, worked hard each day and did a very professional job. Our neighbors enjoyed watching them and marveled at what they accomplished. A dry riverbed was incorporated into the design and it has worked extremely well with all the rain we've had lately.....no more lakes in our backyard! For sure we would hire Poul's Landscaping & Nursery again.

From the very first meeting to the completed project the experience was wonderful. We had five large trees that created a barrier for our back yard but unfortunately they were dying. Andrew met with us to discuss the options for removal and redesign of the back yard. We were impressed by his suggestions for creating not only the barrier, but for beautifying the area and his completed plan was both comprehensive and easily understood. He worked with us to make a few minor changes then provided a detailed quote for the work to be done. We agreed to the work and Poul's handled all the arrangements for the utilities location, tree removal and all planting and sod installation. We couldn't be happier with the work and are already thinking about the next phase of landscape improvement. Several people have commented on the beautiful newly landscaped area.

We have used Poul's Landscaping to completely remodel both our front and backyards over the last several years. For both projects from start to finish, everyone that we interacted with was professional and a pleasure to work with. Andrew, our designer, was awesome! He came prepared to our meetings with ideas that met our needs, guided us through some of our worries and made sure that the entire process was smooth from start to finish. When hiccups occurred, which on any project they do, we knew he had the whole thing under control and would make everything right, which he always did. Andrew turned our boring 1960's front yard into a beautiful, welcoming botanic garden that blooms with color all summer long and transformed our broken concrete patio pad/backyard into an inviting extension of our home filled with color, functionality and privacy. The crews that came to execute the plans were professional, polite, cleaned up every single night and worked incredibly hard from beginning to the end of each day. We have loved our experience with Poul's and should other projects arise, we will be reaching out to them again.

Just got my front yard totally redone with trees, flowers, plants, and shrubs. Very impressed with Andrew's crew which included John and another gentleman. They were punctual, hard-working, and very pleasant. I liked how they worked with me changing the design until I was very pleased. While you may find a cheaper service, I think it will be harder to find a better one. This is my second time working with this company and both of my experiences have been top-notched because of the communication, ideas and effort on behalf of this company. I will use them for future projects.

I have used Poul's Landscaping several times over the years. They have designed beautiful flagstone planting areas around my yard, installed brick walkways, and planted various trees and bushes. They have a beautiful, unique selection of trees and bushes, all locally grown. From the start of the project through completion, the staff at Poul's is knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating.

Company owner came out several days, after he contacted me, to view the job. He gave me a verbal quote of $750. I asked for an emailed quote that he did provide to me three days later. In the interim, I got several other quotes. The one I chose was several hundred dollars less.

Out of the ordinary weekly charge to cut lawn. Out of the ordinary for costs of all yard services. Not sure anyone can afford these guys?

The experience was great from start to finish. The design was beautiful and fully executed to plan. Andrew - our designer - had great ideas and took the time to explain fully and help us realize the vision early on so we were comfortable with the work that would be performed. The gentlemen that came to the house were AMAZING. They worked very hard in very hot conditions and are obviously extremely experienced. The owner - Dan - made several QC visits during the project. He also took the time to go over all of the plantings and instructions for care and watering. Overall, a great experience. I have already recommended them to a friend looking for similar services.

Went flawlessly from start to finish. Jon Lee came out to give us a quote and was a pleasure to work with. He was knowledgeable and very personable. The two men who came out to do the installation were very hard working (in awful heat no less!), did a beautiful job, and cleaned up after themselves. I would not hesitate to recommend Poul's, and will definitely use them again.

We've tried other people, we're really happy with Poul's. I'm planning to resubscribe for the next season.

We can’t begin to thank Poul’s Landscaping and Nursery enough for the beautiful landscape design created and executed for our home. From start to finish, this firm performed outstandingly. We were so fortunate to work with Rick Ramosser, a most talented, creative and knowledgeable landscape architect. He spent so much time with us, never pressured or hurried us, presented us with all kinds of ideas and options and was truly a pleasure to work with. He was exceptionally responsive to emails, phone calls and on site meetings. He helped our vision come to fruition with a plan boasting lots of colors, textures and unique plant specimens. We couldn’t be happier with our landscape project. Kudos also to the installation crew who worked so diligently for several days through extreme heat and who were always so polite and accommodating. The crew always confirmed if we were happy with the presentation or wanted a tree or shrub rotated. The installers finished in a timely manner and did an excellent job in cleaning up the yard and driveway. Dan, the owner, followed up with care instructions for all our shrubs and trees. We are so happy with Poul’s performance and can quite confidently recommend this firm

It went as expected, although the team had to come back to finish up because of rain and very wet conditions. The crew was meticulous in their clean up after each day's work.

They were prompt and professional in their response and quoting. However, did not go with them due to lower quote from others.

Everything has been done to my satisfaction. They even agreed to have a couple of visits less than the standard plan, and they're using mainly organic materials. Very pleased.

I contracted with them for some lawn maintenance and restoration, and they have not done any work yet. It was at the end of last year, and gave me an estimate on what they were going to do. They haven't done any work yet, they will do that in the spring. I can't tell you about their work yet, they haven't done anything yet. In terms of talking to the individual, in terms of about how much they know about landscaping, and what they decided to do, and what we discussed, I was extremely impressed with them so far. I thought it was very fair. Nothing is cheap anymore. For the work that they said they would do, in my opinion, the estimate is very fair.
