good, they've done a burn two years in a row for me

My crab tree would flower beautifully but then most of the leaves would dry out. This went on for a couple of years. I contacted McGinty for an evaluation and Adam Keppel quickly came to view the tree. He said that it had a fungus and would require three sprayings based upon the leaf and flower unfolding. Each spraying cost $90 - I did not price compare with other services. The treatments were done and now that the flowers have finished blooming, almost all of the leaves are still green and looking good. I am pleased with the service and the result.

Visit for an estimate went well. Tree treatments were done in a timely manner. However, I waited almost 4 months for the trees to be trimmed. I had to call several times to ask them to come out and each time I got an excuse as to why they had not trimmed my trees yet. They finally came out in the dead of winter, unannounced, and trimmed my trees. They missed one bush but still billed me. I called them and they did come out promptly and completed the work. Since this work was completed they have sent me invoices twice for me to prepay for tree treatment for this fall. No way I would ever prepay these guys for work, given how difficult it was to get them out to do the work.

The crew of three showed up on time. After I spoke with the person in charge and we discussed what the estimate covered. He and his crew went to work, very hard for the next six hours. They completed everything that was discussed. They cleaned up everything, all debris, in a very meticulous manor. The experience couldn't have gone better.

They were phenomenal - on time, professional, price paid aligned to quote.

Very well they come in, do the job and leave. If there are other problems they will notify me and let me know what can be done. We have had them for a number of years.They were able to solve a weed problem that difficult to deal with.

I called McGinty Brothers and Adam came out the next day and gave me an estimate. The following week I was on the schedule and the job was completed. I was pleased with their promptness as I needed to get this done before my pear tree flowered. They did quality work.

All work was completed on time and in a professional manner. They came when they said they would, did what we agreed to and the price was as quoted to us. We will use them again.

We had someone else come out earlier with a quote that was less than McGinty's so we were not sure at that time exactly what we were going to do but the gentleman from McGinty was very nice and very punctual. I think that we just really left it there. His price was almost double the price of the other company that I had come out. I think that I could get a $40 or $60 discount from them because of Angie's List but still, they were more. The gentleman seemed knowledgeable of the different trees that we had. I was hoping to get the work done now but he said, then they would have to charge us more because we have an oak tree at the back and that needed to be done after the leaves fall off. He said that if anyone else told us to do it now, they would be telling us incorrectly. I am not a tree person so I do not know. It is hard to say if we would consider using them in the future because of the price but we will get another quote from them again.

Immediately after the large storm that impacted the whole Chicagoland area, McGuinty was out to my home giving me a quote within the hour of the call. The quote was fair and they were able to begin work that afternoon.

The trimming went well and the trimmers were professional and wore all the appropriate safety equipment, which I was pleased to see. It took a few phone calls to get them scheduled but it went smoothly after that. It looks very nice.

We had McGinty come out to perform the Emerald Ash Borer service on our trees. He explained that one of the trees could be saved while the other probably could not. This saved us around $200! The technician was on time and very professional. He took the time to thoroughly explain the whole process and was very knowledgeable. We were very pleased with the service we received and would definitely use McGinty again in the future. Old time service with high-tech equipment.

I appreciate that they just don't come cut down trees. They service the trees and let you know the status of the trees and if they have any illness or diseases.

Overall, they are excellent and I would continue using their services.

Before I used to feel that the arborist came out and last time I felt they didn’t. The guys were in a hurry. They were prompt and they respond very quickly. They were just unsupervised workers. I would probably use them again and make sure that somebody came out to supervise the workers.

McGinty Bros Inc. is a big organization; they are the one who do the Shedd Aquarium. The only thing I chose them for is their professionalism. I really did not see them do anything, now I guess I want them to do more work.
