When I first contacted Coast to Coast, and given an estimate. An accurate assessment of the damage to the brick and window sill was provided. However, the additional damage due to rotten floor boards beneath the bricks could not be seen. When it later became apparent that this damage was there after the brick was removed, a very reasonable estimate for the additional work was provided. I agreed to the additional work and the job was completed for a fair price within less than a week after the contract was signed the original contract.

Wonderful experience. They were extremely professional, did great work and cleaned-up very well. Roman explained the process well and made great recommendations.

Using resources from Angie's list, I contacted three masonry firms for bids. A "freelance mason" had recently knocked on our door and pointed out that the tops of both our chimneys were crumbling and explained what kind of damage might be expected to the contiguous parts of the house if it continued to deteriorate. We knew about the deterioration - but not how seriously it was affecting our home. The three companies came out and inspected the chimneys. Two of the companies seemed to do thorough inspections, going up on the roof, examining the interior of the three fireplaces venting through the chimneys. One company did only an external inspection and said that was all they needed to do in order to determine the extent of the work needed. Roman, from Coast to Coast, took the time to explain why he was inspecting each area, what he was looking for, why remediation was/ was not indicated for that area, why he would choose remediation a versus remediation b, materials that were options, laid out the pros and cons of different choices, gave a time frame of start to finish days necessary to complete the job, explained why he advised against doing the masonry repair during the cold weather, invited my questions and completely answered my questions. He also explained that once he offered a bid, that price would remain through the spring (which is when he suggested was the most appropriate time to initiate this type of job) and would not require a deposit to "hold" it. From start to finish, Roman was professional, extremely knowledgeable about what was needed, low key in his presentation and friendly in his demeanor. The other company that also did a thorough inspection also explained their process. However, they recommended that even more work be done and were less accommodating with answers when questioned. I had done my "homework" re chimney repairs prior to contacting any of the companies and had a fairly comprehensive idea of what might be necessary. Roman was the only contractor who willingly gave me an understandable rationale. Factoring out the additional work suggested by the second company, the bids varied from high to low. Coast to Coast was in the middle. Actually, I think I had really made up my mind even before the bids all came in. I had read the reviews about Coast to Coast prior to contacting them and liked what they ALL reported. Of the contractors I met with, Roman was definitely the most professional and knowledgeable. I also liked the fact that he has his own crew and doesn't use subcontractors. Once we decided on a start date, Roman gave us the name of the foreman who would be in charge of the actual work and crew but also let us know we were free to call him at any time if we had additional questions or concerns. The crew arrived on the contracted day in April, worked the entire day, and cleaned up everything before leaving. They did this for every day they were here. Although some of the work required the foreman, Stanley, to be in the house, I hardly knew he was here because he - and his crew worked so quietly. Every member of the team was a gentleman and a pleasure to have working on the project. Stanley explained- every morning- what work would be accomplished that day. At the end of the day, he told me what work had been completed. He kept me informed every step of the process and always inquired if I had any questions. I never had questions because he was so informative! He also expressed obvious pride in the quality of work performed by his team. Prior to accepting the final payment, Roman wished to know if we were satisfied with the overall job done. Absolutely yes! Roman and his Coast to Coast team are heads above any other company I have used for a major project - and I have had some wonderful companies here. I give them an A+++ from my first phone call to my final payment! They did everything and more and I feel we received more than our money's worth. They are not just a masonry company, they are true craftsmen. Thank you Coast to Coast.

I was diving down a street when I saw a 100 year old brick home, like mine, which had beautiful tuck pointing. I stopped and asked the owner who they had used, and they said Coast to Coast. I checked them out on Angie's List and found they had wonderful reviews. We had 3 bids on our home, The owner, Romen, was by far the most knowledgeable and professional, even though we had a cheaper bid, I was confident, Coast to Coast was the right choice. When the crew arrived, they were very hard working, courteous and very neat and tidy. Stanley, the site manager, was very professional. After they had finished he had come back to follow-up on the work, making the finished project beautiful. This company is very good, I wish there were more companies like Coast to Coast, they take pride in their craft, the customer service is outstanding. I plan to use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

The repairs went smooth. I called Roman who came out and inspected the chimney and provided an estimate within a few days. The crew come and rebuilt the chimney as described in our written proposal. In addition to the actual chimney work, Roman replaced a few missing shingles on our roof at no charge, and he also dropped a camera down our chimney to see if we needed a liner installed. Previously, a chimney sweep company, not related to Coast to Coast, told us we needed to have our entire chimney relined at a cost of around $1500-$2000. After reviewing the linear, Roman informed us that our existing linear was in great shape and that a new linear was not needed for any part of our chimney. Roman also picked up the required work permit for this job, saving me a trip to city hall. We were very satisfied with the work of Coast to Coast Masonry and they will be the first company we call for any future masonry work.

Called COAST TO COAST after calling four other companies for est's COAST TO COAST had the best est for the work to be performed.Romen Zajac arrived on time and explained what needed to be done,The chimmy was in bad shape he explained exactly what it needed and his crew did it.He dropped off two bricks for me to pick for best match the crew showed up on time performed the work in two days.They cleaned up as they worked made sure no damage or debris on my neighbor driveway which is close to my chimmy.Roman and his Crew did excellent job,would not hesitate to recommend COAST TO COAST any of my friends.

Wow, were they guys great! As a home owner it is such a pleasure to deal with a company that you feel you can count on to do quality work. I wouldn't hesitate to use Coast to Coast again, or to recommend them. We have interior stone walls in several rooms (I think limestone) that were half finished in multiple areas, had mismatched mortar colors in various spots, and had cracks or crumbling mortar in multiple areas. Romen from Coast to Coast was the second company we had in to give us an estimate, and right away I could tell that he really knew what he was talking about, he wasn't just trying to make a sale. Romen was very professional and polite, he even took notes to ensure everything I wanted was in the estimate. The quality of work was excellent, it really amazed me how well they matched the existing stonework to make it look seamless. If I didn't specifically tell someone where the new work began and ended, no one would be able to point it out. They chipped out the mismatched mortar and replaced it with a color match to the rest of the existing mortar. Not only that, but when the crew left everyday, the rooms they were working in were cleaner when they left then when they got there! The house was spotless everyday. I had forgotten about several spots I wanted them to complete, and half-way though the job when I asked them if they could also do these sections that were not on the original estimate, they were so customer friendly it was amazing. The crew took in stride and acted like it was all part of customer service (even if did mean making a second trip to get more stone then was originally measured for). Long story short, the work was phenomenal, the customer service was excellent, and the price was very fair and reasonable. This is a solid company I would highly recommend.

We called a number of masons that appeared on Angies List. Many did not return calls or only did cleaning not repairs. Coast to Coast was on time, thorough and very clean.

Roughly two weeks afterward the snow on the ground melted. This is when i discovered the lack of professionalism on the part of the company. On my back yard were cigarette butts, pieces of wood, and a lot of mortar and concrete pieces strewn about. I was shocked, especially since they have won an Angies List service award. I emailed the company asking them to either have someone come and clean it up or refund some of my money. I have not heard from the company. I cannot stress enough how important it is for anyone who does work in your home, to clean up. Even if the job is excellent do i really want mortar, and wood, and cigarette butts all over my back yard, for my kids to play on and around? After the owner saw my Angie's list posting, he immediately called me. He apologized for everything, and he said he never got my email. He offered a full refund for the work. I declined. The work has been done and in my opinion has been done well. I do not want to take away someone's pay for their hard work. He offered a partial refund. I declined that too. He was very upset at what had been done at our yard. I told him i appreciated him calling me and that in a couple of months I would call him for a quote on some concrete work. I have changed my grades because of the owners response.

They were very quick to come out and to see my house and submit a proposal for the work. The proposal was well written and price was fair. The owner and his manager were very good about adjusting the work during the job as I requested new things to be done. They wouldn?t leave until I was completely satisfied

It went well. Very quick response and they did a great job. Through a communication with my association, we ended up sending them two checks. They called to let me know, and mailed the other one back. Very trustworthy.

We were very happy with them. We would highly recommend them. I thought that they were very good and very honest. They did not inquire a deposit. They didn't finish the work in one day so they had to come back a couple of days later. They still didn't even ask for partial payment, which I think was amazing. They did very good work and they were very neat and clean. They gave us an Angie's List 10 percent discount on the price. They came out and gave us a quote when they said they would. They wrote it up immediately. They were very efficient. They came when they said they would come. They were right on time. They were immaculate. They did not ask for a deposit and did not ask for even a partial payment until they were completely done. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very professional and very polite. We would use them again in the future.

Romen was thorough with his initial inspection of the chimney, and provided a detailed estimate via email. We selected Coast to Coast over another company because Romen recommended lowering a digital camera into the chimney to inspect the liner, whereas the competing company assumed the liner would be bad, and recommended replacing the liner as part of their initial estimate. When Coast to Coast came out to do the work, they showed me what the camera saw inside the chimney liner, and made an honest assessment that it did not need to be replaced. The rest of the work was completed very professionally: they removed the old chimney top and poured a new one, repaired and tuckpointed the masonry, and replaced the chimney caps as the quote described. They cleaned everything up properly. Everyone from Coast to Coast was very friendly and professional, and the quality of work looks great.

Roman was punctual to estimate my chimney repair. He provided a detailed written estimate that was very competitive. The masons were on time, friendly and knowledgeable. The repair was completed within two weeks and as specified in the contract. I would use Coast to Coast again and highly recommend the company.

Roman reviewed the proposal with me to make sure we agreed on what had to be done and how. They arrived on time, did the work, excellent clean-up, came back two days later to replace TV Dish and review work with me. Fixed a shutter at no charge and did some additional caulking. Outstanding work!!

We have been experiencing water problems in the basement of my in-laws home for some time. Coast to recommended an economical solution to the problem, resulting from a small crack in the basement wall. They scheduled the work in a timely fashion, arrived as committed and performed a clean, professional job. This is the second time we have worked with Coast to Coast and were very satisfied with the work the company did.

I used this company years ago, and they are still terrific! This company is excellent. They do the best work and stick to their estimates. They take photos while taking an estimate to make sure the work will be correct. He always follows up after his crew is there. They seem like old world artisans in their line of work. They just know what they are doing. I highly recommend this company!

Received a fast response when we called for a quote. We were pleased with the quote and the description Romen gave us of the work to be performed. Work was done in a timely fashion, and they answered all the questions we had. They even came back and replaced some bricks that we didn't like the color of. Romen also told us to call him if we had any problems with the work. We didn't have to pay until the job was completely finished, which was nice too. We highly recommend them.

We obtained 3 estimates for this job and "Coast to Coast" was marginally the most expensive, but we felt so comfortable with Romen that we decided to go with his company. It proved to be the right decision. The job was scheduled in a timely manner for 2 weeks later and 3 workers arrived on the arranged date and immediately set to work protecting the work area and setting up scaffolding. They thoroughly ground out the old mortar and the color of the new mortar was an excellent match. A new cap was poured for the top of the chimney. They installed a new chimney liner and the other liners were inspected using a camera which was shown to us on the computer as it was performed. All in all, it was an excellent job , particularly since you cannot tell where the new work was performed. A number of additional items were performed like painting the flashing, replacing some rotten wood near to the chimney and a second chimney top liner was replaced without extra charge. This was a very pleasant and professional company with whom to do business. They did a really good job in cleaning up the site on completion of the work. Also, I particularly liked the fact that Romen sent us a copy of their insurance without being asked for it . I can highly recommend them.

They are very responsive. Every time I called, someone answered the phone. I never had to leave a message. The crew arrived on time on the day scheduled for the repair and the work was finished the same day. At no extra charge, they caulked a crack between the brick and a wooden addition that we had not noticed (it was behind a downspout) on the initial walk-through. They cleaned the work site up very well. A week after the work was done, we were cleaning the windows and noticed a spot on a sill where the mortar had not been repaired - it wasn't visible from the ground. With no fuss, they sent someone out the next business day to complete the repair.

Chimney had needed to be fixed for some time because the external surfaces of bricks were flaking off. Romen came out and gave us an estimate and explained two options we had. We chose to fix the chimney from roof line up. He later dropped off two bricks so we could see which ones he suggested. Work was scheduled, the job took two days and the crew cleaned everything up. The results are beautiful! We would not hesitate recommending his services to anyone looking for an A+ job.

Apparently, my chimney had been struck by lighting. He was very thorough in his estimation of the work. He advised me to contact my insurance company because of the lighting strike. He was very professional and I would recommend his service to anyone.
