Had a problem with concrete at base of chimney. It had cracked and moved away from the brick. Minor issue. Other places I called didn't want to come out or the one that did couldn't do the work. Coast to Coast came out right away, gave me options that were reasonable, and did the work promptly.

I would like to express my 100% satisfaction with Coast to Coast Masonry. In quick review I had a very difficult brick replacement project for my loft in Chicago. Prior to picking Coast to Coast Masonry I interviewed 6 other masonry companies in Chicago and without a doubt Coast to Coast Masonry was THE BEST. I met with Roman the owner of Coast to Coast to review the project scope and get a cost estimate. Roman impressed me as being professional and having an excellent reputation within the industry and on Angieslist.com. Roman provided a good estimate for the project so I chose him to get the job done. The Project Manager for the job was Mark who managed the project / team from start to finish and did a great job! The project took a total of 4-days to complete and included the replacement of 5 major brick sections within a loft with 21-foot high ceilings. The brick that was replaced by Coast to Coast is a perfect match to the existing 100-year old brickwork within the loft. In summary I would highly recommend Coast to Coast Masonry for any brick replacement or tuckpointing project needed within Chicago. Great. The company was very responsive, competitively priced and kept in communication throughout the process, even when the weather required delaying the work a few days.

I was thoroughly impressed with both the professionalism and the work performed by Coast to Coast. Top to bottom I felt like each employee of Coast to Coast was there to make sure that I was happy with the way to job went. Especially the owner of the company, Romen. If I wanted something either redone or done a certain way, his answer was always, "whatever you want we will do". That's the type of service that is sorely missing in not only the construction/trade industry, but most businesses.Since the work was performed, I've had roofers out to the building for an unrelated issue. They commented that whoever did the coping work did a great job. I've already given their name out to two other condo building presidents and if they're smart, they'll use Coast to Coast.

At first I was somewhat disappointed because the new wall was slightly lower than the old wall leaving a gap between it and some woodwork. However, the vendor came out and installed a limestone cap on the wall to raise the height and it looks great. I'm very happy with the outcome and have recommended this company to friends.

From my first meeting, I was impressed by Romen's extreme attention to detail and ability to explain the work that was needed. Once the work began, the crew was on time each day and left the yard immaculate before heading home. The work and craftsmanship exceeded my expectations and Romen made sure every detail was completed to my exacting approval. After the work began, I asked Romen to do some additional work that was not included in the original bid, including repair and replacement of brick that had been previously cut by a roofing company. The work and brick replacement was completed for no additional charge! I cannot say enough about my experience and wish that every contractor was a conscious about its customer's satisfaction as Coast to Coast.

We had contacted Coast to Coast about a year ago, right after we bought our home for an estimate on replacing the chimney. At the time, the work did not seem to be an immediate need and so we decided to put the work off for a year.When I contacted Coast to Coast to come out again, they were prompt and thorough and even remembered being at our home a year ago. Romen commented on how different our backyard looked from the previous year. We went over all the things that needed to be done on the house - the chimney, the bricks around the garage and the foundation work. He went over each item and discussed what would be the best way to proceed with each problem.He sent an estimate right away and we agreed on a date to do the work.The guys showed up right on time and got to work right away. They tried to protect our lawn and landscaping as much as possible with tarps. They even cleaned up chunks of brick that had fallen into a flower bed.Since the house is 50 years old, Romen had warned me that the brick color/style might not match exactly, but that they would do their best. The bricks that they brought for me to choose from were so similar to our house, that you can't even tell the difference.They fixed the leaks in the foundation and the last time it rained, there was no water in our basement.I would definitely use them again, if needed.

Romen came exactly on time, found the source of the problem (which NO one else had been able to do), gave me a very detailed plan for repair and gave me an approx. price. He followed up in the next week with an estimate that was HALF of what another company had given us. The work started exactly when promised and was done in 2 days. Upon completion he called me and told me to wait until we got rain to see if there were any additional leaks. We DID have 2 leaks that I found that following week and that same day Romen's partner came to see the area. He found an additional area that had not been visible when they did the work and told me it needed a couple of days to dry out and then they would come back on Saturday to fix. They came first thing Saturday morning, did the work and told me to call them after the next rain. It rained Tuesday and the garage was bone dry!! I am SO pleased with this company and the workmen. Not only would I use them again but I would HIGHLY recommend them! Honest, caring and professional - THE BEST!!

They were pretty professional and they did alot of work for the money. They really did a nice job.

There were a few spots missed on the initial job, but the owner, Romen, immediately came over and verified the missed areas and his people came back and finished the job quickly. Romen was in constant contact with me and came over several times to do an inspection with me, spending hours testing out not only the brick/stone, but also various trouble spots with the roof. At one point, I identified a potential issue with our scupper boxes that was not in the original project scope, but Romen offered to fix it without an extra charge. I highly recommend Romen & Coast to Coast.

The owner, Roman, came out for the estimate. He told me in detail what would be done and he impressed with his confidence in whathad to be done. He then gave me a quote and told me that the problem with the brickwork would be solved for the price. He then sent me a formal proposal outling everything we had discussed via e-mail. I called and he said he would send me a contract.He sent me the contract with the 'Angie Discount', I signed it and a few days later I received a call to schedule the work. When they were almost finished I received a call from Roman asking how I thought it was going. Very impressive to have the owner take such aninterest in how his crew was doing.

Cracks in concrete cap allowed water to leak inside chimney and cause spalling of bricks due to freeze thaw cycle. Found Coast to Coast on Angie's list and they had high marks so called them for a quote. Was reasonable for the size of the job and had them do the work. First time they missed one brick further down the chimnew that was just starting to spall. Owner returned promptly and replaced that brick same day he came to inspect the work. Great job.

After a few days of calling,requesting an estimate for repairs,Stanley came out and gave me full details of what needed to be done & the estimate was far better than others I had received I immediately asked Coast to Coast to do the job.They came on the date that I was told work would start,even though it was it was 100 + degrees.The work was finished in 2 days. The 3rd day Stanley returned to do a final clean up & to make sure I was satisfied with the job.There was one area of the brick work that I felt "didn't look right" He immediately called his workers & they were @ my house within 15 minutes & redid the area to my complete satisfaction. I would definitely reccommend this company

The work his crew (Stanley) did was perfect and solved the problem. Stanley was very careful around my landscaping and the house to make sure nothing was damaged in the process. He replaced the cedar siding over the flashing and caulked/painted it. The work was well done. Thank you Romen.

Roman and Stanley were punctual and professional. We walked around the house and I pointed out the problems I was aware of. I didn't know the chimney cap needed repair but the patio walls needed cleaning and removal and replacement of wrong color and crumbling mortar. The joint between the driveway and the garage needed replacing and there was a crack in the foundation of the planter wall. We went over the whole exterior and agreed on what needed to be done. An estimate for the work with a clear and detailed description was sent promptly by email and regular mail. When I contacted Coast to Coast they gave me a starting date, I sent back the signed contract and they came promptly on the agreed upon day. They did everything as described and I was very pleased with the matching colors, the neat work and the professionalism they exhibited. I would definitely hire them again,

All workers showed up exactly as promised and worked diligently to complete the job. At the end, they did an admirable job cleaning up the work site, leaving no trace of their 1-1/2 weeks work. The finished product is outstanding, as good as new (maybe better).

I contacted several contractors on Angie's list. Two came to our house to look at the job. Both submitted proposals. We selected Coast to Coast because they seemed much more knowledgeable and more interested in the details than the other contractor. They described their methods in detail while they were looking at the brickwork. The job was completed on time and professionally, and the price was quite reasonable. Several workers were involved in the project, so it went smoothly. The quality is outstanding—beautiful craftsmanship. It was all accomplished quickly with a minimal amount of disruption and mess. They cleaned up every day. Really an outstanding job! Do not hesitate to hire Coast to Coast for any sort of masonry job!

We got three estimates for the work and Coast to Coast was by far the most thorough. Not necessarily the cheapest, but addressed all the issues we were having. Romen spent a lot of time inspecting our entire building and layed out everything he saw that was an issue or could be an issue in the future, pointing out everything so we saw the problems, too. He drew up a very detailed estimate and even ranked the repairs as to what really needed to be done now and what could wait a bit. The crew was very prompt each day and worked incredibly hard, even working on Saturday to get the job done. They cleaned up after themselves, too. We will probably do the rest of the work in the next year and expect to have Coast to Coast do the job. Highly recommended.

I had 3 quotes through Angie's List. Coast-to-Coast had the most reviews, and gave me the best price by far. The two other companies (also highly rated on Angie's List) had estimates that were twice as much and three times as much, respectively. Romen Zajac came out and did the estimate. He was on time and explained everything to me very clearly. He emailed the contract to me within a few days of the estimate. A crew of 4 guys came out on a Friday at 8am and had almost everything done by 4 that afternoon. The guys were friendly and courteous and even helped move stuff out of the way inside the garage, which I should have had done ahead of time myself. They repaired everything that was described in the contract, and even did several things that were not in the contract, such as patching large gaps around a door I had replaced and sealing the 2" gap between the sidewalk and the house. Sealing this gap down the length of the house was definitely not in the contract. Romen said they would do it for free along with the rest of the work. I had to insist on paying a little extra for the additional supplies, since they will be caulking over the mortar after it dries. It was a very good experience. Give them a call!

Quote was received timely and work was performed within a week of receiving the quote. Excellent job! The work that was done looks great. No gaps or cracks in the filler/cement that was applied. No compliants - would use this contractor again

I found this company through word of mouth and he had good references. They were fast and I thought they did a very nice job and were helpful. I did not have any problems with their service. I will use them again in the future.

The crew of two men were very professional...all business. They arrived on time, and very very quiet and neat. There were no remnants of the job left over afterwards. The work was perfect, and the men were very courteous and listened to my concerns. Would definitely hire them again!
