It went better than expected. Work was performed very professionally. Workmen were great and cleaned up. You could not tell there was any repair to the brick. Great job!

I called Coast to Coast and spoke with Romen. He came to my house on time and was very professional. I informed him about the water seepage problem on my fireplace that occurs when it rains. After his inspection we discussed what needed to be done. He said he would send me an estimate. I received the estimate and decided after a few weeks that we should proceed with the project. The work was performed in a professional manner. Unfortunately, after we got another rainstorm the water did reappear again. So the problem wasn't quite resolved. I called and talked to Romen and told him that we were still having an issue after the work was done. He was so polite and understanding. He had his office call me back and schedule a date for someone to come take a look and perform a water test. As the water test was being done, BINGO - the water was reappearing where it had been doing the rainstorms. The gentleman that was here to fix the problem was very professional and was determined to resolve the problem. Maybe the extra caulking, etc. he did helped because we have had a few heavy downpours and not one drop of water seepage. I found Coast to Coast to be very conscientious and ready to stand behind their work. I would highly recommend them.

They were wonderful. I really liked them. He was a wonderful guy. He had really good suggestions and his price was really fair in comparison to other estimates I got. It looks beautiful. He did a really good job. It was a big chimney and they took everything away and hauled it all away. I don't know how he did it but it looks great. It is not leaking anymore which is great. It was a lot of work and it was on a 90 degree angle.

I got 10% off from Coast to Coast Masonry Group Inc. As far as I know, they told me it was 10% off. I guess, it hasn't rained yet. So, I need to find out if it holds. In general, I liked them. They were professional, courteous and quick. They gave me other options to solve my problems. They came on time and cleaned up when they left. They were very good. I certainly would use them again in the future.

It was such a small job, they actually performed the work at no charge. I was pleased and look forward to working with them in the future.

Romen came out promptly to survey the issues, and within 1 day I received a formal estimate by email. I called to schedule the work for a few weeks later. At the time work was supposed to take place, his crew came out to do the work as discussed. The were prompt and polite, and they cleaned up after themselves when they left. Two days later, his crew returned to remove the concrete forms of the chimney crown, clean the chimney stack, and install the flue caps. Again the were prompt and polite. After the work was completed, I received a final invoice via email, and Romen made sure I was happy with the work. Everything was great, and our chimney went from a D- to an A+!

Roman came out on Christmas Eve 2102 and gave a thorough review of my situation and provided me with an estimate in a timely manner. The work was done as promised in late spring. Although I am not an expert on chimney rebuilds it looks good and if all the reviews I found on Angies list for Coast are representative of my job I should be in good shape. It is also worth noting I had placed in the contract that once the job was done there would be an inspection by the owner Roman. He came today as promised and was patient in all my questions. He even reviewed some structural questions I had on my foundation that were not related to the work done. He stress frequently for me to contact him if there was ever any issue and he would stand behind his work. I would definitely use him again if I have masonry work to be done.

I contacted Coast to Coast after finding them on Angie's list. They were prompt at answering my telephone message but due to their workload couldn't come out to give a quote for a week and a half. However, when Romen came out to inspect, he was there on time and immediately put me at ease that he knew exactly what needed to be done. He went through the process of what was required and identified some small cracks that had been part of the cause. The day of the job, he arrived with a man who was going to do the work, which was necessary because the guy didn't speak much English. Anyway, the guy was an obvious craftsman. He set to work and made a really nice job of the work. He was tidy and cleaned up after himself. He arranged to come back a couple of days later to clean up some of the mortar on the brickwork. In the meantime I took a careful look at the wall and found another crack that none of us had seen earlier. Romen said that he would fix this when the worker came back to do his clean up from the main work. No fuss, no hassle. Everything was done to my satisfaction. Good job.

Romen investigated my problems and wrote a comprehensive estimate that proposed solutions. While three other companies claimed that the damaged terra cotta liner could not be removed from the fireplace chimney without causing damage, Roman assured me that they could remove it and replace it with a stainless liner. The workers were extremely careful to protect my landscaping on the outside and to protect my furniture and floors on the inside. All work was done with professionalism and care. A few days later a worker returned with the supervisor to remove the chimney cap forms and do additional work to complete the job. I am pleased.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with house repairs or maintenance.

The entire job went very well. The new brick was matched as closely to the old as possible. Once started, the work proceeded on consecutive days until it was completed. The workers were polite, very professional, and communicated well with the customer. When the work was finished each day, the working area was picked up and left clean and neat. We have been extremely pleased with the results of all the work performed, and felt that the price was very reasonable.

They worked hard to address my concerns. I was satisfied with the outcome.

Romen Zajak tried very hard to reach me, because I gave him an incorrect e-mail address. He still found me within a day, and came to estimate the work the next day. He was extremely polite and explained the scope of the work to my wife. His professionalism was beyond reproach, and his estimate arrived by e-mail the next day, as promised. Choosing Coast to Coast Masonry was the best decision I have made in a long time. Romen was prompt, professional, patient and courteous during the entire process. It is obvious that he and his partner, Stanley, really care about the work and want you to be completely satisfied. Too bad they are masons exclusively because I would certainly hire them for all kinds of projects.

Coast to Coast did an excellent job, workers showed up on time and had a very clean workspace. The owner, Romen, stopped by after the job was completed and looked over the work with me. Romen noticed a few spots of masonry work that he wasn't 100% satisfied with. Romen has his crew stop by the next morning to complete the job. I like the owner Romen, he seems to take pride in making sure I was very happy with this work and I could tell he wanted everything to be perfect.

He's prompt, reliable and always available before, during and after a project. We had a small issue after his work was completed and he came back to fix the issue free of charge. I completely trust his work and judgment.

Romen came to our home per agreed upon schedule and provided us w/ estimates on brick steps repair as well as repairing our fireplace where the firebox had to be re-bricked and replacement/installation of a damper. He and his crew were professional, prompt and followed through beautifully! I would highly recommend then for their professionalism and workmanship.

We contacted Coast To Coast for an estimate in early January after having to have our fireplace box replaced due to water damage. They came out and we got their bid the very next day. We had to wait for the weather to break (not such a easy thing to time this year) but unfortunately, the day we contracted for was cold and wet. They came out on the first day but could only set up the scaffold due to high winds and rain. Once they got started, this group was fast. They removed all the debris and rebuilt the chimney, poured a new cap and tuck pointed all in 1 day. They are super efficient, and did a great job on the cleanup too. Can't say enough good things about this group. You sometimes don't like to contract for this stuff but, their prices are very competitive and after the having this work, I can highly recommend them!

Romen came out and provided me an estimate very quickly. He had the work done within a few days since we were going to have our roof replaced. The chimney repair was fantastic. It really looks brand new. His worker came and did the work, cleaned up, and I am very impressed. I would definitely recommend this company for any brickwork you need done.

Roman arrived on time for the initial evaluation of the fireplace/chimney, which had several cracks and was also pulling away from the interior wall. He inspected the fireplace/chimney, both interior and exterior, and also checked the basement (crawl space) to see how the chimney was supported. No one else did such a thorough evaluation. We then discussed some options after which I selected to rebuild the interior with river rock to replace the existing boring brick. We also agreed to repairs to the exterior chimney, which was cracked and probably allowing moisture into the attic. I received an estimate via email later that day. We agreed that the project start date would be after Thanksgiving. Due to the mild weather over Thanksgiving week, Roman called and asked if they could start early on the exterior work. I said yes, even though I would be out of town. When I arrived back home, the new chimney top (lip/overhang - whatever you call it) had been poured and the forms were in place, the tuckpointing and caulking had been done. On the day the interior work was scheduled to be done, the mason arrived on time, followed shortly by the rest of the team and what I can gather was a supervisor or manager. The initial job took 3 days to complete (hands on time), over about a week (total duration). Day 1- Removed glass door assembly, mantle and all interior brick work. Began re-building using river rock, framed out area for glass firedoor insert. Completed ~1/3 of fireplace. Day 2 - Continued build, re-set mantle. After the day only ~20% area remained. The frame was also removed from the exterior chimney overhang and the chimney was washed (or waterproofing applied?). Day 3 - Team returned ~ 1 week later to finish the re-build, tuckpoint the firebox, place the limestone hearth and re-install the glass fire door assembly. The team was professional and the mason took his time in selecting and placing the rocks in the mortar in a random, interesting design. There were a few issues/challenges they faced during execution of the project and they worked together to solve them without impacting time or cost. In addition, they did a great job in cleaning up each day. After the job was completed, they even vacuumed the area. The only area I see that could use improvement is communication. It was a bit of a challenge to get information or clarification on what was happening during the process, as the team predominantly spoke Polish or struggled with English as a second language. Luckily the youngest member of the team was a native speaker, so between him and the group leader, I was able to communicate with the team when necessary. After the project was completed I noticed a few minor things that were not quite right (one edge of limestone hearth was not quite straight, mortar around glass insert wasn't the same color as the rest of the fireplace). I was busy at the time and didn't call Roman till after the new year. He and a few of the original crew came back the day after I called and they made the minor corrections, and, in addition, did a few more things that just made the fireplace look even better! (And at no extra charge!!) Overall my experience with this company was excellent.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone. The job was done very well . They value customer satisfaction, are very responsive, and professional. The quality of work is also top notch. I had gotten 5 different opinions and estimates on the work and their judgement seemed to make the most sense. I feel that they did what was necessary and did not try to convince me that more work needed to be done like some of the other companies I got estimates from. I didn't have the money to do all the work but I got what was absolutely necessary and will get the rest done soon.
