It went very well. I had been looking on the internet for a cost effective solution that could be used every year. The goal was a product I could put away and not take up a substantial amount of storage space off season. Replacing screens with sliding glass doors was way outside our budget. We wanted a clear PVC that would allow us to see the backyard. The prior year, we had put up a roll plastic from a large retailer and hung it with a staple gun. It did the job, however, it looked really tacky. On windy days it would come loose and the lattice work on my porch ended up covered with staples. We could have made frames but we would have had to store them for the summer and we don't have the space. We needed to go with custom size tarps because their numerous options for pre-made tarps (across the industry) had a tolerance of +/- 6". The product came neatly folded in cardboard boxes with some foam sheets to protect them. We went with the 20 mil clear PVC sheets. It was thick enough that it will hold up to the cold in central PA but not too thick or heavy to work with. We did not go with the traditional canvas bottoms that one sees in restaurant outside patios because of the expense and concern of the fabric getting dirty. To get the large dimensions they heat seal sections. They look fine. The perimeter of each tarp is folded over straps to reinforce the edges and sewn. The washers/ grommets were then installed approximately every 21- 24" around the perimeter. We measured the spacing on the tarps and installed the two-screw turn fasteners to mount the clear PVC tarps. There was one small section on one tarp that was not square and is too long to connect it to the porch. Pretty much the quality of the tarp was excellent. the workmanship was solid. Buyer MUST have absolute not smaller than dimensions. It took my husband and son about 6 hours to install all the fasteners and the tarps. You need to buy the screws to affix the fasteners to the porch.
Description of Work: Made custom sized clear pvc tarps with turn-fastener mating washers that could be mounted on our 18'x20' screened porch to keep out the elements during the winter and early spring. They also provided the mounting hardware. We bought the screws to install the fasteners.
