I was working on a project and had to move my laptop to another room. I didn't want to lose any time so I kept my laptop open and carried it in one hand like a waiter might carry a tray and carried papers and the adapter/cord in my other hand.As one might expect the laptop slipped out of my hand and crashed to the floor making a god awful sound.I was sure i had just trashed the whole thing. I was sick and my first thought was that now I was going to find out how good the Norton backup works (provided by Comcast) probably with a computer other than the one on the floor.The hardened cover was cracked and the screen, still lit, looked like someone had wiped their hand across it and smeared the page into a smudge of black and purple,It would not perform any functions.I unplugged it and let it stand until the battery ran out.I tried to restart it and nothing.I was sure I had just trashed the whole thing.Sphinx computer was the closest repair shop and I took a chance and brought it in, Saad came out to greet me. He was very courteous and easy going and he told me if I would like he would check it out and let me know what the story was.After a few minutes he came back and told me that the computer was good and I could get by with only replacing the screen.Quite honest on his part as he could have easily told me it was done for and sold me a new or used laptop and I would not have known the difference. Saad is quite the tech. When I came back a few hours later to pick up my laptop, I asked him about some trouble I had been having with Explorer and he ran my computer through a series of checks like a top metal player would shred a guitar. He advised me on how to proceed (no charge) he gave me an additional 10% on an already discounted screen that was better than my original equipment. Even though I tend to be very suspicious by nature, I was won over and inquired about my battery which fully charged was only lasting about 20 minutes. Saad ordered a new battery which he will install as soon as it comes in (and the right battery) The cost was $35. I have a desktop that died that I have thought of getting rid of but I think I'll bring it in to Sphinx. I am very satisfied based on today's experience, and I would highly recommend to anyone,
