+ 1 moreThey were great. Robert is very professional and responsive. He was very easy to work with and did a very good job. He was aware and courteous about keeping the dust down and the areas clean as not to affect the rest of the house. We highly recommend him.
Description of Work: We hired them for hardwood flooring and two room renovations.

+ -1 moreThe job went very smoothly, the bar turned out better than I hoped, and the only hitch is getting my husband to complete the rest of the project in the basement. Bob did a great job, once again. We will never use another carpenter/builder.
Description of Work: After trying to purchase a bar for our finished basement, and realizing the size and shape we wanted would have to be built on site, we called the best carpenter we knew. Bob King of Roberts and Roberts Construction. We showed him pictures of the bar, discussed dimensions, etc., and he built us a wonderful bar. He could show us pictures of bars he had built in the past, was very open to our ideas, and threw in some wonderful touches. This is the second job we had done by Bob, and we are very pleased with both. Our first job was a staircase he built for us. It is gorgeous, and we still get compliments.

+ -1 moreBob was on time and did a terrific job. He realigned several of my doors. He also noticed that my gate needed to be realigned and did so. When he was done, he reviewed everything he did with me to be sure that I was satisfied.

+ -1 moreBOB KING WAS A JOY TO WORK WITH. HE LEFT THE WORK AREA CLEAN, AND SAFE, MAKING SURE WE HAD ACCESS TO THE SECOND FLOOR THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT. HE WAS VERY RESPONSIVE TO OUR QUESTIONS AND REQUESTS. I DIDN'T LIKE ANY OF THE STOCK NEWELL POSTS, SO BETWEEN US, WE CAME UP WITH A DESIGN THAT I WOULD LIKE. HE SEARCHED FOR JUST THE RIGHT PIECES OF LUMBER FOR THE NEWELLS (GOING TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT STORES) AND EVEN LOCATED POST CAPS THAT I HAD FOUND ON-LINE SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT FOR DELIVERY. THEN HE ROUTED OUT THE DESIGN THAT MADE THE NEWELLS PERFECT! COMMUNICATION WAS GREAT, HE KEPT US UP ON THE DETAILS OF THE PROJECT. HIS PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE, AND WE ARE THRILLED WITH THE FINISHED PRODUCT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ROBERTS AND ROBERTS, AND HAVE BEEN TELLING ALL OF MY FRIENDS ABOUT BOB.
Description of Work: REMOVED BOTH WALLS ON EITHER SIDE OF AN ENCLOSED STAIRCASE. REBUILT ALL THE RISERS AND TREADS IN OAK, BUILT A RAILING SYSTEM WITH DECORATIVE TRIM, AND MADE TWO NEWELL POSTS WITH DECORATIVE WOODWORK. REPLACED AND REPAIRED AREA OF FLOOR THAT WALL WAS ATOP. REMOVED ENTRYWAY TO OPEN UP LIVING ROOM AND DINING ROOM TO EACH OTHER. REPLACED PULL CHAIN LIGHT AT TOP OF STAIRCASE WITH 3 WAY SWITCH.
