He came on time, he inspected the appliances, the bathroom, windows, balcony, then we asked him about the heat in the livingroom, there was a handle inside the baseboard he turned it on and as it turned out he neglected to turn it back off, so the water leaked and damaged the ceiling of the condo below, I asked him to come again and see the damage, he did, but absolutely denied that he did anything wrong. The seller's broker and the other unit's owner were present, the broker asked him to send him his insurance information so he can file a claim, Giovanni said that he would, but never did. The owner of the unit that Giovanni inspected paid for the repairs and wanted us to pay it, the seller got our deposit, so he does not care about going after the inspector. Mr. Morrone said to me on the way down that day that they're not going to go after him because the cost of an attorney is going to be more that the cost of the damages. So, since the seller knows that, he came after us. I don't think it is fair that we should pay for the damages that the inspector caused. besides he has insurance to pay. The repairs of the damage was one thousand dollars. Why would we, the buyers pay for the damages that the inspector caused and while he has insurance to pay for his neglect.
