Light Brothers

We have purchased light fixtures here several times over the years. If you don't find something you like on the floor (or ceiling,) they have many catalogs for you to choose from and the staff is very helpful. We have never had a problem with damage or missing parts.

I found this provider on Angies List as I had an antique chandelier that needed rewiring. I double-checked their site to make sure they're in business and they actually do repair work (been burned before). Yep and yep, according to their web site. Great. Haul 4 kids and heavy as heck chandelier to their store, 30 minutes from me. Walk in and the guy looks at my chandelier. "Are you here to get that fixed? Yea, we do't do that any more." GGGGRRRRRRR. I told him that perhaps they should update their web site and Angies list information to reflect that VERY PERTINENT INFORMATION. He just shrugged, "yea, I'll tell them." And their stock was not good, Nothing very high-end looking. I'd been there once a few years ago when I was helping a friend in that area decorate her home, and we couldn't find a single thing we liked.

Went great! The lamp was even ready prior to the estimated pick-up date. I highly recommend Light Brothers.

They are outstanding!

I selected the company because it is listed as a dealer in George Kovacs lamps. My lamp was purchased about 1974, and originally was designed to hold and operate four 100-W incandescent lamps and one 200-W lamp. I used it for many years to light a large room. Later, it was damaged, was interfered with by a an unauthorized handyperson who didn't have a clue, and then was rewired by a craftsman who purported to know the craft. It operated satisfactorily with lower wattage lamps for a number of years, but recently the switch was operating erratically and then started to burn. I called Light Brothers and was told over the phone that they could probably repair it and that I should bring it in to be looked at. The person who looked at it told me that 600 W is the maximum for which a lamp cord (the one plugged into the wall receptacle) is rated to operate, and that new sockets would be rated only for 60-W incandescent lamps. He said that not only the switch but the sockets and the cord should be replaced. He was rather abrupt in manner, but was reasonable. The price seemed reasonable to me, also, so I left the lamp for repair. They completed the work before the estimated date, and saved the old parts for me as I'd asked. The new sockets and switch have the same configuration as the original, and the lamp is operating properly.

Excellent. They helped us find the right fixtures. Their after sale customer service was outstanding. One of the fixtures had some damage (broken glass) and they took it back immediately and ordered a replacement.

THEY RECOMMENDED THE STYLES AND WORKED WITH US IN SELECTING THE RIGHT WATTAGES FOR DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE HOUSE. THE CONSULTING DID NOT COST ANYTHING - JUST BUYING THE LIGHTS.
