I didn't catch the man at the desks name, but he was very attentive to my instructions. I wanted a hole left to be able to lift the piece. He explained that might be bad for furniture placement and gave an alternate suggestion. He welded a nut to the bottom of the plate & inserted an Allen screw into it to make it level with the top & closed the bottom of the bolt so the screw cannot fall through. He provided a key with a threaded end and an Allen wrench. To remove the plate I take out the screw, screw the key into the bolt, and lift. I had mentioned that I had many people in my house hanging drywall & carpeting would be next. Based on this he figured I needed this quickly, so told the welders that since it was a small job, they should work it in between current work. I was very appreciative of having it done in less than two days realizing they probably have commercial jobs they also work on. If future needs of a welder were required I would definitely go back to them.

I had an estimate done in the beginning by one of the crew, the the owner didnt like it. he thought it was too low of an estimate. He agreed to do the work for the estimated price. A very professional decision. He might have lost a few hundred dollars on the deal. I will go back to him again because i owe him one, and the work they did was very good as well.
