They were very professional throughout the entire process and very easy to work with. Keith came out and spent a good deal of time talking to me about where insulation would have the most effect, and took a look at the proposed areas. He emailed us an estimate and spoke with me a number of times to answer questions and describe the process. We initially planned on doing the basement walls, crawlspace walls and attic. When I tore down the rest of the framing and remaining drywall in the basement I discovered that the walls themselves were crumbling. Keith was very understanding when we told him we need to hold off on insulating the basement until we can get the walls fixed. He revised the estimate and we went forward from there. Tom came out to do the energy audit, and he also answered a whole bunch of our questions. They were very transparent and informative throughout the process. We were asking about the spray foam, and they provided a sheet with the complete chemical makeup, as well as the phone number of the manufacturer. The job took two days, just like they had told us, and everyone was very professional. They followed up to help us with paperwork for the rebates. Throughout the entire process they were very friendly and patient as we asked a ton of questions.

One Temp Home insulated my ranch house in January 2015. In short I highly recommend them: they did very professional work at a reasonable price, made sure we knew what we were getting beforehand and didn?t send the final bill until they knew we were satisfied with everything. They went out of their way to do the job right and to put the customer first. We are so glad we chose them. More details: Chris was our first contact as he assessed what wanted done, took measurements, and explained their recommended insulation process and options we might consider. He did not high-pressure us. To qualify us for a NICOR rebate (which we got more than we expected), he explained the value of their doing a blower-door test (and a CAS safety test) both before and after the insulation work. Another company we had bid the job did not offer this. One Temp Home?s lead people are all BPI-certified and they know their business very well (as my BPI-certified carpenter friend assured us). Tom later came out and did the tests. He was very helpful in explaining things. I had never heard of a CAS test, but I?m glad they did it (in and out) and explained how to keep my house safe. They determined that our eave vents had insufficient air-flow, and for a great price offered to cut bigger holes. On insulation day, I watched as John carefully removed the aluminum siding to check. Sometimes there were no hole and at best there were only small (4-inch round) holes. For all the vents, he cut appropriate-sized holes and replaced the siding neatly. The 1800-square-foot attic required a lot of preparation, and special attention, which they attended to well. Then they blew in an R-49 depth of NuWool cellulose insulation (actually more to allow for future settling). My previous research led me to believe NuWool would be the best for us and that is what they use. The attached photo shows how nicely the attic looked when they were done. We also chose to have closed-cell foam insulation put into our basement where the joists meet the outer walls. This was also done very well. Unexpectedly, it turns out, my family was a bit sensitive to the outgassing of this insulation. In response to this, One Temp Home did all they could to accommodate us in this, including sending out a professional air-cleaning company, and discounting the final bill to accommodate for our inconvenience. While it took longer than we anticipated for the smell to dissipate, it finally did. Running into this issue, though, made us extra thankful that we had chosen One Temp Home, because I can?t think of another company that would have been so responsive to us. Rob, in the office, was 100% committed to making sure we were satisfied before he sent us the final bill.

Keith at 1TempHouse was punctual and professional. He inspected the attic and other parts of house. Tested air circulation and how much energy loss is there in the house. Also, he tested the furnace and water heater followed by a report of the things that need attention. Overall very satisfied with the experience.

It went well, the even discovered that my soffits had no venting which means mold can form in the attic and the roof can deteriorate due to the lack of ventilation. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend them. Very nice people to deal with.

Rob Hyer was our Project Manager. Everything was done on time and on budget. Everything was done the way that Rob Hyer said tit would be done. There were no surprises!

For the timing of the job (during the holidays) they were understandably swamped. Our date of service was a month and a half out. The foreman assigned to the job got in touch, went through what he understood was to be done for us. He let us know when they could get us scheduled but encouraged me to "bug" him and if he had an opening come available, he would fit us k In. The guys who came to do the job were friendly and respectful to my home and my family. I would truly use them again in a heart beat! And probably will for additional insulation inour challenging mansard roofed home!

Extremely professional. Chris the salesman/energy specialist was my first impression of 1 Temp Home. He was great at listening to our needs and trouble spots in our home. He did a thorough inspection of our home looking for any additional areas that might need insulation. He did find a huge gaping hole in a door way that went all the way up to attic which we had never noticed. He did not try to oversell us to insulate areas where we thought might need attention which gained my trust. He was excellent at explaining what we needed and where and gave us a fair quote on the spot. Robert oversaw a large crew giving explicit directions as to what was to be done. He respectfully checked and rechecked the crews work along the way. Meanwhile, he was very hands on,diligently getting the job done. Billy blew in the crawl space area which took an entire day. He made certain not to miss any nook or cranny. Since completion of the job I've had several contractors to our home to complete electrical work and drywall projects. They were both extremely impressed with the work that had been done and took 1 TEMP HOME's information in order to pass along to their clients and for their own personal insulation needs. Both contractors remarked on what a tight, clean and fantastic job that billy had done blowing in the crawl space area stating that they had never seen it done that great before!! We have not turned on our heat since the insulation has been done. We can't believe the difference. It is so nice to have such a noticeable difference instantly and feel like this was money well spent and a great investment in our home.

Unfortunately the winter was too cold for them to come out right away. They did come promptly for the estimate and the attic insulation. The people we had contact with were very polite and professional

From the initial phone call to the last encounter we were met with pleasant and professional people. I tried getting a quote from 2 other sources and was told it was going to be very expensive to replace because the ductwork was in the 4 foot crawl. The repairman (Mike) wasn't put off or bothered by the job. He provided pictures of the completed work so we wouldn't have to go "down the hatch" to inspect the job if we didn't want to. These people will be our "go to" from now on.

The experience was really excellent from start to finish. I had about a half dozen estimates for air sealing and insulation and felt very confident in the quality of their work based on the initial contact I had with Tom, who came out for the estimate. Plus, they were more reasonably priced than most of the other companies. The crew was friendly and one of the owners was working on the job with everyone else, which gave me more confidence that the job would be done right. They did an outstanding job and even performed more work that was not included in the estimate for no additional charge. How often does that happen? As part of the energy audit they found a major safety issue with our 20+ year old water heater and were able to replace it the same day, which required them to work much later into the day than they had planned. Tom even offered to come back once the weather was colder to hook up the blower door and use the infrared camera to look for any additional areas of air leakage in the house. I have never been more impressed with the amount of time and concern a company took to make sure the job was done right and that the customer was satisfied. They answered all of my questions (and I had a lot!) and exceeded my expectations in every way. The house is an odd 1949 Cape Cod that desperately needed insulation. The combination of knee walls, some small enclosed spaces and an addition proved to be quite a challenge to insulate. Each section needed special consideration and different processes and materials. Tom and the whole team at Our Energy Home proved to be great problem solvers. In addition we had concerns about the safety and out gassing of the various substances. They definitely leaned toward "green" products and provided pertinent information on all the materials they would be using making sure we were completely informed . The crew that did the work was very impressive acknowledging our concerns as well as skilled at handling all our irregular spaces keeping us fully informed all along the way. In addition the office and staff was especially friendly and knowledgeable.

The owner of the company came to our home and sat with us twice for over an hour during the estimate process. He took his time explaining everything to us and was not in a rush at all. We have an old home and need a lot of work done including insulating our attic, our crawl space, and a lot of duct work needed to be done. After his first visit to our home he told us that he would get the estimate to us in the next couple of days which he did. Instead of just sending us the estimate he came back to our home and sat down with us explaining everyting. what I liked most is that the estimate was broken down so I could clearly see what costs what and if I wanted to hold off on certain services I could clearly see and read on his estimate what was what which was great. We decided to schedule for his crew to come back the following week so that they could insulate all of our ducts in our crawl space because the air was not blowing out hot enough. It has made a huge difference! We have him scheduled to come back in a couple weeks to insulate our attic. We could not afford to do the attic and crawl space at once so he suggested going with the attic first since winter is almost over, the attic insulation will help in the summer with cooling costs and we plan to have them come back next fall to insulate the crawl space!

I was extremely happy with this company. Everyone was professional and courteous. The work took considerably longer than expected, and although the job ended up being more extensive than the original estimate, the increase in price was minimal. The company was aware of my finances and worked with me in order to be able to complete the job. Although work is normally completed in one day, the unexpected work in my home required an additional day. I was informed that the crew would return in two weeks (at my request as I have every other Friday off and don?t need to take a day off). There must have been some confusion as management did not schedule a crew for my house on that day. Therefore, I had to wait another two weeks for the work to be finished. The management office was apologetic for the mistake. So although it took significantly longer for the work to be completed than expected, I am extremely happy with the work completed and my house is warm once again. I would not hesitate to use this company again. I am planning on upgrading my windows with them in the future.

If you're looking for a spray foam installer, look no further. These guys got it right from start to finish. This is a family-owned and operated business. When the guy operating the spray nozzle is one of the owners, you know the job is getting done right. They were very professional from the time their salesman came out to give me the quote right through to clean-up after completion of the project. They know their product very well and explained to me the difference between open cell and closed cell foam. They gave me a quote for each, and we ended up going with a combination of open and closed cell foam for my project. The material that they use is formaldehyde-free, and there was very little residual odor. I had them install spray foam insulation in the ceilings of two garages that are below heated living space. They also installed spray foam insulation in a bedroom addition over the garage. Believe me, I am very particular about the way work is performed in my home, and the folks at Our Home Energy met all of my expectations. I would highly recommend them, and have already recommended them to one of my neighbors.

The job went very well, very quick, quiet and very professional. They checked the rest of the house and explained why my walls are so cold and the narrow space with no insulation. Great service and very nice personalities.

Their estimate came in 1/3 lower than another larger company that we thought was giving us a good deal. Replaced the units the NEXT DAY. Straight up, honest, good diagnostician. I'm really happy.

We won’t know how big of a difference it’ll make until winter comes. During the process, they drilled small holes in the walls between each joyce, but then they patched everything up carefully before they left.

Jay came over and spent a long time to problem-solve and figure out what the best approach to a new HVAC system would be. I had received another estimate for a full replacement of the system, including replacing both units, for close to $20,000. I was very pleased that Jay was able to come up with an efficient single unit system--a variable motor with zoning--plan for us. The yearly maintenance will be cheaper than if we had 2 systems and with the quirks of our house, it should work more efficiently than 2 systems, thus saving energy. Jay got us the estimate the next day and started work the day after that. Pat and Tom did the installation. They were professional, respectful and communicated well with me. The installation was more complicated than anticipated, so it took an extra day. But they were able to get the air conditioning running as soon as possible since it was hot. Throughout the process, they communicated well with me. Now my air conditioning works so well that I had to turn up the temperature on the thermostat, which will save me money.

The workers were very friendly and very skilled at the work involved. They were clean and nice mannerd. I would recommend thier service and professionalism to my friends and neighbors.

This is a family owned business. Our older house had many problems. Rooms were different temperatures and some were very uncomfortable, especially in the winter. First the salesman came and gave us initial thoughts, but then he brought back a technician and the owner to make sure the changes to be would be the best ones. I liked the fact that they all contributed to solving the problem, like a team of doctors. The team was very courteous and clean. I was impressed that they wore booties over their shoes every time they were in the house. They were very courteous and showed us everything they did along the way. It's messy work and yet they clean up everything before they left. It's rare for me to do this, but I gave each of the worker a tip because they worked so hard and cared so much and we felt an immediate improvement in in the house after all the work was completed.

Clearly and patiently explained differences in furnace operations and reasoning for recommendation of higher efficiency furnace. Assisted with rebate application and followed up to ensure receipt of rebate. Workers arrived when scheduled, were pleasant to deal with, competent, and cleaned up after themselves. I've used this firm for several years for furnace & a/c maintenance and repair and they are always professional and pleasant and respond promptly in emergencies! However, I still requested quotes from several firms prior to selecting to purchase my new a/c & furnace from Jay's. Of the 4 firms I dealt with during this process only one other was as professional as Jay's and priced competitively but they didn't do nearly as good a job explaining the reasoning behind their model recommendation.

We signed a service agreement with them to perform furnance/AC tune up for both our resident and our rental property. After they performed AC tune up this summer, both of our property experienced no cold air. We had to call them back to recheck. All they said was that we had dirty filters for both places and we had to pay $75 x 2 service calls and insisted on half hour/45 min dianogistic fees for both places. We do change our air filter regularly so we are not sure what they are talking about. Be cautious if you want to hire them. They are money hungry!

I have always been happy with the quality of their work and they have even helped me on the phone when I've had questions about something related to the furnace. I highly recommend them.

Jay's was recommended by a (reputable) online vendor that sells HVAC parts to end-users online. They were very highly rated on their website. I called Jay and told him I wanted a quote on installing all this stuff. He came out the next day and gave us a very reasonable quote. We contacted other HVAC companies, but they were reluctant to quote us since we were supplying the parts. Those that did reply were twice as expensive as Jay's. When they did the work they dramatically exceeded our expectations. The did a lot of "rework" on the plumbing and electrical that they didn't have to. But, the result is it was a VERY clean install. All the work was excellent!

Not only did Jay replace the part, but he used his experience and knowledge to point out that this was a problem that would happen again slowly over time. The solution? Vacuum out the air holes on the bottom of the tank where the water heater (gas) gets its air. The clogged air holes cause the pilot assembly to burn out over time. So, vacuum he did. Then he replaced the pilot. Everything's fine now. This service call prevented us from having to get a new water heater--which was only 5 years old. Jay's "above and beyond the call" is what will make me call him every time for any HVAC problem.
