Holland Appliance Repair

We called Scott in March to come and replace the pump in our washing machine. Our adult son was home that day because my husband and I had to work. When he was done the only "receipt" he left with our son was his business card with what we paid and a "one year warranty" written on the back for the pump. The washer was fine until mid May when the same thing happened again and we had a load of laundry stuck in the washer which was filled with water since it wouldn't spin out. I texted Scott that Thursday night to ask him if he could come out the next day. He responded back saying it had been a crazy week but that he could come out between 12:30-1:00. So I took the afternoon off and waited for him....I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited until 2:15 to text him to see if he was coming soon. He never responded back and by 4:15 I texted him once more to tell him I was going to have to call someone else. Luckily, I found another guy who was nice enough to come at 6:30 and at least unlock the washer for us and he came back Monday with the necessary part. He mentioned something about the new pump not being installed totally correct and the wires/connections were messed up. I did text Scott one more time on that Monday and told him that he should have at least texted me if he couldn't make it. From other reviews I've come across now it seems like he ghosts people when he has to come out a second time for the same issue. We'll never recommend him to anyone. At least be courteous enough to respond and technically our repair should have been free from him....guess he doesn't want to honor his work or warranty.

Perhaps the best communicating, punctual and professional tradesman I've seen in quite some time. Pleasant disposition is a bonus. Replacement cost was covered by manufacturer, so pricing unknown. Would certainly consider for other jobs.
