All contact with the Paver Doctors was done on the phone. I never spoke to anyone face to face. I measured my driveway and sent them the plot plan which they used for the quote. My payment was done on the phone and a receipt was sent to the house. Other than no personal contact by the management, the job was well done in a timely manner.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced asphalt residential driveway.

I contact Bill to give an estimate on repairing a few sunken spots on my paver patio. He was to remove the entire patio and pour a concrete foundation with 42" piers and have it all completed by the first of April pending weather. Everything seemed good till he began the job. He left cigarette butts, nails, and pop bottles laying all over the yard. He failed to call for locates and nicked my electric line. It failed a week later after the wall had been installed. When I called him he tried to deny it. When he came out to see for himself he stated he didn't want to pull up the wall so told me to contract the electric company to reroute the cable and let him know the cost. I took time from my day to contact the electric company and gave him the estimate. He declined to pay and instead tore up the wall and part of the patio so the cable could be repaired. He told me to call him after it was repaired. I called him after the electric was repaired and told him how disappointed I was with his work. He thought it looked great and wanted me to show him what I was unhappy with. When he came out I pointed out the step leading into the yard and how it didn't line up and looked like crap. I showed him a picture of what it looked like before and he said, "Well, I could try to cut these caps but I'm not sure how that would look. I think it looks great." I told him it did not look great that it looked very unprofessional. We then discussed the step leading into the house. This is a 1/2 moon 2 step that leads into the house. The bottom step he did absolutely nothing to. On the east side of the step it was 1' above the patio. On the west side it was 1" below the patio. I told him it was very obvious it was not level. First he denied it even while looking at it. Then he agreed but later changed his mind and told me it was level. When a level is put on the step, the bubble goes all the way to one side. Obviously not level. I identified a 3" gap in the wall where the blocks did not meet. He told me to just fill it in with mulch. I pointed out where the concrete he poured had overflowed and now had clumps 4" away from the wall where flower used to be. He again said just cover it with mulch. I pointed out all the areas where the brick were 1/2" apart and I could stick my fingers in between. He stated he would just fill it in with sand. The bricks should be approximately 1/8" apart. When I asked about the 5 mismatched color caps he stated they don't make the color any more and that was the closest he could get. When I asked what happened to the ones that match he stated they broke. I asked how many and he stated 3. I then asked why 5 were replaced if only 3 broke. He had no reply to that. He did attempt to come back to make a few repairs only to end the job with 9 unmatched caps. One of the good caps he cut and then left a 1/2" gap 3 caps over. He then sent a text vs calling stating he was done and would not come back to seal the patio because he knew I was unhappy with his work and felt he wouldn't get paid. He stated he did a good job and I will never have and issue with the wall sinking. I currently have one brick missing, 1 brick loose, 9 caps that don't match, 2 caps on the step coming out of the house that are loose and are a very dangerous situation, and 2 caps on the wall that are loose. Also on this last visit he poured sand I guess to fill the opening on the patio. He also added 2' of sand on top of my vines that just started growing up the canopy. These plants are one foot away from the patio. This is the most unprofessional job I have every had done.
Description of Work: My entire paver patio was removed in sections. A concrete foundation was poured with 42" piers under the entire wall. When the wall was reinstalled blocks were left out and gaps were left in the wall. There were two steps and only one needed repair. Bill removed one step that didn't need repair to pour the foundation and did not install the blocks and caps correctly creating a very unprofessional look. For the other step he failed to touch the bottom step at all which gave a very obvious look of it not being level. He removed the top step and pour concrete in the middle only to put the bricks back in an unprofessional order. For the caps around the patios edge he install 5 that did not match originally. It ended up being 9 by the time he almost finished. He also did not install the bricks in the same design as original and had to install an incorrect color for those too. He was to seal the patio which he never did and there is still one brick missing that he never installed. The job was never completed.

I had a good work experience with him, but he won't call me back. I read after the fact that other people were saying that on Angie's List too, I wasn't a member until after the service. He did great work, but some of our steps are cloudy and he just won't call me back at all. I left him a message and told him about the stairs and ask him to call me back, but there is no response. I've called him 3 times in the last year. Even if he would just tell me the chemical to use it would be nice. We thought they did a great job, but it's been explained to me that moisture can get trapped underneath and make them look cloudy.

We call the Paver Dr to do our brick paver driveway, walk and patio. He did show up on time to give us an estimate but we had to follow up with him several times to get work started. The workman did a good job cleaning the bricks but in my estimation did a sloppy job with the sand and the sealing. When we called him about the quality of work he stated he would be over to inspect but never came. In less than six week after the work was completed we had ants making sand hills in the brick and also weeds growing up between. This was something we were assured would not happen for several years. After leaving several messages on his cell phone and at the office I gave up trying to contact him. I guess I learned that saving $1,000 with Paver Doctor was not worth the hassle.
Description of Work: We had our brick driveway, sidewalk and patio cleaned, resanded and sealed
