We discovered a small wet spot in our ceiling below where the toilet sits in the upstairs bath. Checked the List and called Dahmer plumbing and were told service would be provided same day (today) between 12-3:30. Received call that plumber was on way at 12:15, arrived before 1, and gave us a quick rundown of best to worst case scenarios (this is an older home). Determined that the problem was the wax ring and took appropriate steps to repair. Was here about an hour. Made certain that repair worked, cleaned up well after work was complete. We had used this company two yrs ago for a different bathroom repair and had been impressed by the service and professionalism. Decided to check Angie's List before we made the call and we were pleased to see the ratings on the list were good. We were just as impressed and happy with the service this time as we were 2 yrs ago. Would highly recommend. Feel that their prices, while not cheap, are very fair and competitive.

They were real good. The price was not cheap. He is just up the street. We go by there on the way home. We had called somebody that would come out right away because it was leaking all over the place. We couldn't wait for a week to get it repaired. One of his employees came out and did it really quick, so it was good. Sometimes we try to find more independent guys that just work by themselves because they are cheaper. They are more of a commercial type of plumbers. The guy brought the unit and installed it. We didn't have to go to a store and purchase it. We were very happy with their work. It was expensive but it was good. Two of them worked underneath the sink all day long as there was a lot of work. They had to redo everything because of the configuration under the sink. We have a double type sink and they had the garbage disposal hooked up to the left one and that was in the way of everything so they hooked it to the right one which is probably how it should have been done. Some of the wiring and plumbing was not up to code when the house was built. We have had another electrician out there too that said the same thing. But the guys that came knew what they were doing. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and respectful to us and to our home. They were very professional. I would use them again. It was an all day job. I just thought that it would be three or four hundred bucks. I wasn't unhappy, I didn't argue. I just figured that if we wanted a plumbing company to come out, they would be expensive. I knew that it was probably going to be pricey. I didn't complain and I have nothing negative to say about them. I just needed to have somebody put this in and then they found all this other stuff that he said they could not work on and see that it is not coded. It needed to be put in the way it should have been put in the first place. I respected that and if we ever wanted to sell the house, an inspector would probably come in and say that it was all bad. I think it was money well spent and I don't regret it at all.

I have used this company before and it always goes well. They were honest with us by not rodding the first day and coming back a second time so not to charge twice. The separated pipes were under our patio, still enough room for things to move through if we are careful, or their other recommendation was to take up part of patio and recover with part of a deck. It was our choice. They did not push the more expensive job. Just 2 of us in the house, so decided to leave it for awhile and try to get by without destroying the patio.

They came out on a Saturday and did not charge me for it. It took a little longer because they had to remove a few things out to work on it. They did a great job and I was definitely satisfied with their work. They are very professional, friendly and extremely responsive.

They generally come very quickly when I need them and I never had any problems with the work they have done for me. They are very responsive, reliable and do an excellent work. I have not used any other plumber in a while so, I am not very sure about the price but, I do feel that their price has gone up.

I called the company and they sent someone out right away--within 2 hours. The job was done in 15 minutes.

Prompt, professional. Kept us informed as they progressed. Part of tile wall needed to be removed to reach damaged pipes, they carefully preserved removed tiles and took out the least number of tiles as possible to complete their work. Excellent cleanup at completion of their work. I only wish we had had a selection of replacement facets to choose from. They replaced shower head, facet and drain stop without our input. We would have preferred a different model, but what they used is good quality and works fine.

Very well. They provide an estimate before working. He spoke to my home warranty company to assist with my reimbursement. They were very clean. I have hot water.

Showed up 1 day to estimate work. Day 2 work completed in 2.5 hours. Even with leak testing all the connections, a leak was found later that evening. A message left after hours on the message machine was promptly returned at 0655 hours the next morning. The plumbers were back out to the house by 1100 hours to fix the minor leak.

I have used this company several times over the years and I expected the same professional, quality work as before, and was not disappointed. They performed service same day as called and water was back to hot by late afternoon. ****because I always use them did not get other estimates.

Great. We woke up in the morning to find water in our basement. I found Jim Dhamer plumbing on Angieslist and called them. The man on the phone said he could come out the same day. Two guys showed up. They diagnosed the problem in minutes. They were finished with the repair in under an hour, with the two of them working together. Then I asked them about a leaky faucet I had in a bathroom, and they spent 20 mins fixing that problem too. Nice guys. They charged $ 475. A note on price.. after the repair, I called other local plumbers that were on Angieslist and asked them how much they would charge for the same job. I read the specifics off my receipt. They quoted me $ 550-650 just for the pump alone. But Jim Dhamer did the pump *and* the leaky faucet for $ 475. Very fair price. I'd use them again.

I called Dhamer Plumbing at 7 a.m. in the morning and by 10:30 a.m. two plumbers from the company were at my house. They replaced my old water heater and installed a new Bradford 50 gallon water heater. They tested the new water heater and gave me a quick review in how to use it safely. My old water heater was hauled away by them and any mess was cleaned up. They were on their way at approximately 12:30 p.m.

They are very responsive, thorough, and make great recommendations. They are easy to work with and I would highly recommend them to others.

Company came out and gave free estimate, and showed up as scheduled to perform the work. Plumber was professional, knowledgable and neat.

There are still some problems with the toilets. They tried to talk me into replacing things rather than just fixing them. I would not use them again.

Was scheduled for a Saturday morning. They called when they were on their way and arrived before 8 AM. They were neat and clean and cleaned up after their work done. They were in and out within less than an hour. Very nice guys; pleasant and professional.

I called them at 7:20 am and they were at my house by 8:15 am, despite the woman answering the phone who stated that there was a waiting list. They arrived and spent less than an hour to unclog my kitchen sink. They also cleaned up after themselves and were polite and professional.

Came in and went right to work. Ran into some problems with the plumbing to the fridge, but was able to resolve the problem quickly. Also, ran into challenges with the washer overflow pan. But once again, they came up with a great solution.

I called them at 7:00 this morning and they were here by 10:30AM. 2 guys showed up and I took them down to the basement and showed them what needed to be done. They accomplished their job and were gone within an hour. They had to rod out the sewer line under the house. They cleaned up everything and were gone. My contractor (I am having major remodel done) was impressed enough as to get his card. The cost included a brass drain plug. The last company that came out to do the same thing, obviously didn't do a good job and charged me $850 You couldn't have had it go any better!

On a Thursday morning, both my daughter and husband complained the shower water was cold. Upon inspection of the water heater, we noted it was leaking everywhere. At approximately 7am I called and explained I needed a water heater replaced. They gave me an estimated time of between 10am and 12pm. To my surprise, they called and stated they were able to come earlier. They were very considerate and professional and were in and out quickly. The only thing I had a problem with was as soon as they walked in they stated there was and additional charge for some valve. I found this odd since they just walked in the door and did not look in the basement. I was quoted one price on the phone, same price when they got there, but they never told me about the valve charge until they walked in. They should have told me this on the phone. They however, did tell me where to go get a $15 off coupon off the web to use.

We hired this company to reset two toilets and to put a plunger in a sink. The plumber they sent out indicated that he was unsure on how to stabilize one of the toilets and decided to use shims to level it. The shims slipped within a week, leaving the toilet more unstable than before. The plumber was more concerned with trying to convince us that he was the greatest plumber in the world than doing a competent job. We were afraid to call him back to fix the toilet properly and finally called another plumber to fix the toilet. He made an attempt to clean up after himself, requesting that we give him a plastic garbage bag and paper towels. I am not sure what he did with them since he left things dirty.

Two plumbers rooted out my sewer line and then told me at the end of the job that the sewer line was clear and they pulled tree roots from the pipe. They told me that if they have to come back, for the first 30 days I would be only be required to pay $30.00 (estimation) for every 15 minutes of work, but they reassured me the problem was fixed when I questioned them as to why I might need them to come back out. Two days later the sewer backed up again into my garage and I was forced to call Dahmer Plumbing back out. The two plumbers came again and worked over 2 hours trying to Roto rooter out the sewer line. I was at work so they spoke with my son-in-law, and after 2 hours said they couldn't complete the job because they couldn't dig through the tree roots and I would have to have a contractor come out to take a look at the problem. They asked for a check for over $200.00. My son-in-law questioned why they continued trying to clear the drain for over 2 hours when they knew early on that they weren't clearing the blockage. He also questioned why they were charging so much money when the job was never completed. One of the plumbers snapped back, they both get paid for their labor whether the job is completed or not. My son-in-law continued to question the reason they didn't stop working when they realized they couldn't clear the line and that he needed to speak with the owner about the incident, and at that point one of the plumbers shouted an obscenity at him. After speaking to the owner, the owner cut the payment to $129.00. My son-in-law felt the cost was too high when the plumber did not see the job to completion and told the owner he would speak to me when I got home about the additional cost. Frustrated, I told my son-in-law that I would just pay it and never call them again, but when he tried to call Dahmer Plumbing back and left messages, they never returned our calls. This was a disturbing incident and I was extremely disappointed on how unprofessional the plumbers behaved. As it turned out, the owner did not pursue payment for the 2nd trip out by his laborers and I assume it was due to their unprofessional manner and the fact that they were unable to complete the job.

It went very well. They arrived at the time promised. Acted professionally. Was very impressed with the care they took to keep our floors clean, spreading tarps from the front door to the work area.
