The office personal I first spoke to was very nice and helpful. They were at my home with in an hour of my phone call. I can not say enough good things about them. The two men who came were so professional, very business like, helpful, knowledgeable and cleaned up after themselves. I will use them again in the future, and would highly recommend them family and friends.

Sewage ejection pump failed Sunday Evening. I called Dhamer first thing next morning and they had a truck there by 10am. They replaced the pump and backflow valve within an hour and tested the system before leaving. I also had a leaking faucet with a new faucet ready to go. I was told that they could repair the faucet without spending the extra time to replace and that the fixed faucet would be superior to the replacement

Fantastic. 1. They were done in under about 1.5 hours and they cleaned up after they were done. 2. They showed me how to use the check valve every 3 months on the sump pump so it doesn't lock up because of nonuse. 3. Matt and Steve rescued a toad that was found in the drain pipe and placed it in my care semi-reluctantly. I will take it over to Willowbrook Wildlife in Glen Ellyn later today.

Jim Dhamer plumbing was quick to respond to my email with a quote and scheduling a date/time was easy. The plumber and his assistant arrived early in the time frame they'd given (they called to let me know they were on the way) which was great. I didn't have to sit around and wait on a Saturday. They were friendly and polite, used shoe covers on a snowy day and worked fast. The work was done quickly and everything was explained thoroughly. They even pointed out a coupon that I could use from the Yellow Pages sitting on my kitchen counter. The new disposal works perfectly and I would highly recommend this company for any plumbing service.

When I called J. Dhamer Plumbing, they were professional and it was very easy to schedule an appointment. They arrived on time and were prepared to address the problem I had described when scheduling the appointment. They explained the issue and the proposed remedy. They worked quickly and efficiently and resolved my problem in the first visit.

They came out earlier which was okay ...They diagnosed the spot that needed to be rodded and and proceeded to clear it out .. They took care of it within and hour. They cleaned up after themselves , they were professional, courteous and had good sense of humor. It was a pleasure dealing with them and will have them back soon to pressure jet the sewer line to keep it clean and running well. Bob and TJ were great to deal with on that call and will be asking for them when I make the appointment to pressure jet the sewer line ...I now have a plumbing company that I will be using as my sole service provider for all plumbing needs. Overall, they did an outstanding job from communication to installation. They contacted me when they were about 15-20 minutes away from arriving my house. They were very professional and made sure that they did not bring any outside dirt into my house by putting on shoe covers. I asked questions during the replacement/install and you can tell that they have had many years of experience by their answers. When it was time to talk about the replacement unit and new battery backup, they gave me a couple of options to choose from. After they completed their work, they showed me the work they did, showed me the failing sump pump, and showed me how to maintain the battery as well as other maintenance suggestions. After this conversation, they picked up the drop cloths and made sure that the work area was clean. This was a great experience.

They arrived within the window and completed in the time expected. They explained what they were going to do and then reported on how it went when they were done. They left the area the way they found it.

Although it was not an emergency, they arrived within about two hours after calling them and compled the work in about one hour. Excellent service, courteous and very professional.

Both times they came out they were prompt. Didn't have to wait long to get a serivce date either. Plumber was knowledgeable; gave him specific info how to get parts online from the 2 companies who made the faucets; He also stayed a few minutes after I had paid to answer addtl. questions and give me some more info on an unrelated problem. I would definitely call them again. I wasn't sure how the price compared to other plumbers as this time, this was the only place I called.

They were out first thing in the morning after we called. This crew is very professional, dependable, answers all your questions, and is easy to work with. We've used them for years for any plumbing needs.

Had another company out to rod slow draining main line and camera the line but they were unable to camera more than to to 12 feet and only got small cutter thru line. Got estimates from them for further work to fully clear line but costs were very high so called Dhamer to get their opinion. We have used them on a number of occasions and have found their prices reasonable and they do a good job. The Dhamer plumber was able to rod the line with larger cutters and replace caps damaged and/or improperly installed by previous plumber. Their estimates for further work were also considerably less than the other company.

OLD PUMP WAS SMOKING AND THERE WAS NO WATER IN THE SUMP PIT. CALLED JIM DHAMER AND THEY SCHEDULED FOR THE NEXT DAY. AND INSTALLED A NEW PUMP .

The two spigets were old and leaking, they installed new frost-proof faucets and removed an old gas pipe from a gas grill that was no longer being used.

They're good. Very reliable, response, do good work. We never have to call them back to fix what they fixed.

I called Dhamer Plumbing to replace my back-sump pump batteries which were nearly 3 years old. The technician did that and reported to me that he had checked both pumps and that they were working well. Imagine my surprise when I faced 3 to 4 inches of water in my basement a week later (no recent rainfall). I called the same plumbers - but they are closed on weekends. So I had to contact an emergency plumber to come to the house. I was told that the switch on the main pump was not working and that I needed either a new switch or a new sump pump. That does not explain why the back up sump pump did not work. All lights were green and it just didn't work either. The emergency technician hinted that the pump power cords were incorrectly placed - but did not elaborate. When I called to register a complaint the following Monday, I was told that everything was working fine when the technician left and that they had no explanation for the failure of both pumps. Later in the day the Dhamer technician called back to say he was sorry that I had water in my basement, but he could not have been responsible for the failure of both pumps.

The people at Dhamer are wonderfully professional and knowledgeable about every aspect of plumbing and remodeling. They gave me a fair estimate and they do amazing, quality work. The two Tom A's who did the work were great and helped me not make costly mistakes that I hadn't thought of. An example is the new sink I am putting in is deeper so the kitchen pipes and drain had to be lowered to accomodate it. If they hadn't thought to ask the question I would have had to rip out the back of a brand new cabinet to have the sink put in. This is truly looking out for your customer. Doing a full gut kitchen remodel is extremely stressfull and the people at Dhamer make the process so much easier because they do their best for their customers. I will always recommend this company.

the most helpful service, if you want to call it that, was that on the initial inspection they noticed asbestos used as pipe wrap in several areas of the basement. no one had ever mentioned that during any previous set of repairs. the asbestos was removed by another contractor (who found even more asbestos used on the heat ducts) before the plumbing work was started. cannot recommend this company highly enough.

When I called them, I received an estimate and scheduled a service call quickly and easily. Paul and John showed up right on time and got right to work. Paul fixed the shower fixture in just a few minutes, while John started on the water softener, then they worked together. They cut the pipes, removed the water softener, reconnected the pipes, replaced the pipe insulation, and cleaned up in about half an hour. They were very professional, and did the job correctly and quickly. When the work was done, they told me how to find a coupon to save some money on the service call, which I did.

John was very knowledgable. I was happy with the service. I'm not sure how cost compares to other plumbers, but it seemed high to me, but I am not up on the costs of these services,especially since my use to husband handled these issues.

Main drain line completely clogged in the morning, backing up dirty water onto both bathroom floors. The backup had forced it's way through the old wax ring seals at the bottom of the toilets. The entire house was clogged. Two plumbers arrived about 3 hours after my call and started power rodding the main line through the cleanout on the front lawn. After rodding for over 45 minutes without success, they switched to rodding the main line through the plumbing vents on my roof. Fortunately, it was a warmer, dry Jan. day without ice or snow! After perhaps 2 hours and still no success, they switched to smaller power rodding machine which they hauled onto the roof. After nearly three hours, they cleared the clog and restored full drainage. I have done my own power rodding in the past, but I'm sure glad I called these guys given the difficulty of the clog and the all the effort required! Apparently, I had a decade of buildup in my main drain and the plumbing of my 1960's ranch was especially difficult to power rod. The plumbers did an excellent job of re-installing and re-sealing the two toilets. They even replaced the original flexible water supply lines with custom-fabricated rigid pipe. To my amazement, the toilet now fill two or three times faster than before! They cleaned up well after the inherently messy job. They also wore disposible booties when walking inside the house, which was greatly appreciated. Needless to say, I am a very happy customer. I originally used them to replace my main drain line almost 14 years ago for a good price; it is still in great shape.

Called them late Tuesday night and they had a technician out by 11:00am the next morning. he spent about an hour and a half removing old and installing new garbage disposal, new drain line for dishwasher, and installing new kitchen faucet.

I called and told them that I got their name from Ange's list and wanted to replace a toilet, preferably with a duo-flush toilet. I was told to go to Kohler.com and pick one out They obviously are not familiar with duo-flush toilets. I picked one out At the local Menards home center. Only two out of the 40 toilets on display were duo-flush. I bought one duo-flush (1/1.6 gpf) and one single flush (1.6 gpf) paid for delivery and installed them myself. I would have gladly paid for expert advice and installation. I recently ran across a one piece, duo-flush toilet at Costco which would have been the way to go.

John and Adam were great. On time, professional, quick, clean, and courteous. Maybe not the best price for the job, but definitely the best choice for the job. These are the only guys I'll call in the future.
