+ -1 moreThe cleanup was done by one of his workers, but Seth did all the rest. I can say that this was a lot of work for a very reasonable price. The cleanup was at least 4 hours, and the mulching was at least 6 hours. The work was done on time, and that the results are spectacular. The weekly mowing, trimming and blowing also produces great results. He and his co-worker do it in about 30 minutes (they are fast) with great results. This would have taken me about 2 hours.
Description of Work: I contracted with Seth for lawn aeration, spring cleanup, mulching and edging of all beds. I also contracted for weekly mowing, trimming and blowing, and the above price reflects the first week

+ 2 moreSeth brought in a load of garden soil for the 18 hostas I had already purchased for the bed. He relocated a previous paver bed edging to curve and meet the maple area paver edge. JULIE had marked the utilities coming from a nearby utility post earlier in the week and Seth carefully hand dug areas that served cable providers as their wires tend to be close to the surface and rototilled areas with no utility conflict. He put down the new garden soil and, in consultation with me and notes that I had made about the eventual height and width-spread of each hosta, planted them carefully. This project took almost an entire Saturday. Seth returned on June 2 to top the bed with fine hardwood mulch to help the bed retain moisture and also to trim boxwoods that had large winter-damaged areas. Seth did a fabulous job and I would recommend him highly for landscape work.
Description of Work: Seth installed a hosta bed in an area that is heavily shaded by a maple tree and where little grass grows. He relocated a paver edging (he usually doesn't do hardscapes, but this was a small job using previous pavers), prepared the base of the bed, brought in good garden soil, planted the hostas, and topped with fine mulch. Also trimmed cold-damaged boxwoods. About a month earlier, we had Seth come out to edge the sidewalks, driveway and long paver edging of our garden beds plus trim all winter-killed sections of numerous rose bushes, all for around $200.

+ 1 moreSeth did a wonderful job. He was there when he said he would be, cleared out everything, even behind some bushes where other companies didn't, and then mulched. My house looks fabulous! His price was right in line with other vendors. I will definitely hire him next year, and again this year if I need more yard work.
Description of Work: Seth cleared the front of my yard and garden and both sides of the house. He mulched it too.

+ -1 moreSeth answered our request for a quote by coming over to see the property within two days. He replied by email with a price we found agreeable and finished the job, all within one week of contact. He worked carefully, even going over some areas a second time to be sure that the edge was wide enough and sharp (not easy to do in our dry clay soil). We were very pleased with his work and will definitely use him again not only for edging but also for general lawn and garden work.
Description of Work: We have over 400 linear feet of paver-edged garden beds plus front sidewalk and driveway, all severely overgrown with grass because it had been several years since we edged them. Seth used a gas-powered edger, made a nice indention to separate the lawn from the hardscape, collected the clods of grass, and cleared the pavers and sidewalk of soil using his power blower.
