Wow.... For several years, Window Genie has cleaned our home and done a pretty good job. We always leave a check for them. Throughout, we have had a dog that remains secured in his crate while the ladies clean. For some reason, this week, the ladies cleaned two floors of our home, but not the bottom floor, where the dog is crated. When I returned later in the day, Sam took the check she left but did not leave a note or text call her to explain. When I called him to find out about it, he became very defensive. He had no explanation for why he did not leave a note or call and made up some story about the dog getting out of his crate (which is both impossible,as it is double locked, and has never happened before). He said he would come back to finish the job the next day. They never returned, and again, there was no call or text to explain or request a different date. Our 2 follow up calls were not returned. Very disappointed at the lack of professionalism and the defensiveness.

Sam combines a poor attitude with overall incompetence. We hired Window Genie to clean the windows in our house. Sam and his colleague wisked through and claimed to be done in record time and asked for immediate payment, even though he missed a third o fthe windows. When my wife refused to pay, he half-heartedly cleaned a few more windows. I made him come back to clean the rest, and when he finally did, he asked me to point out the missed dirt spots on the windows because he has poor eyesight. (He actually said this.) He then said he could not clean 5 of the windows because the storm windows were painted shut. I bel!eved him and paid him, and the next weekend I took the storm windows off myself and cleaned them. (It was rather easy; just took a little time and effort, both of which are in short supply with Window Genie.) Sam Colletta promissed a free gutter cleaning for all the trouble, which I scheduled, but then he no-showed and did not return my follow up calls. When I finally reached him, he did not bother to apologize and said "I'll get to your gutters when I get to them." This was one of the most unpleasant home repair type experiences I have ever had. It is obvious that Window Genie does not have sufficient, if any, quality controls in place for its local franchises.

THE OWNER WAS VERY ACCESSIBLE AND EITHER CALLED RIGHT BACK OR ANSWERED HIS CELLULAR PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS. HE DID THE WORK HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO DO IN THE TIME HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO DO IT. THE PROFESSIONALISM AND QUALITY OF WORK WERE BOTH EXTREMELY GOOD. HIS BID FOR THIS WORK WAS DRAMATICALLY LOWER THAN AN AREA COMPETITOR WHO SHALL REMAIN UNNAMED. THE ONLY COMPLAINTS I HAVE ARE: 1. THE CREW ARRIVED A LITTLE BIT LATER THAN I HAD EXPECTED AND HAD TO DO PART OF THE WORK WHILE WE WERE HOME AFTER WORK. 2. THEY PROMISED TO LEAVE ME SAMPLES OF STAIN COLORS ON SOME SCRAP LUMBER THAT I PROVIDED, AND THAT NEVER HAPPENED. 3. THEY LEFT A BROKEN MOP HANDLE ON OUR PROPERTY WHICH WAS USED TO STIR THE STAIN. OTHER THAN THESE VERY MINOR COMPLAINTS, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE TO DO ANY DECK SEALING WORK.
