Vasile and his crew are tremendous. I had a tight deadline to get my flooring redone and Vasile worked with me. He came out and precisely measured the job with his laser measuring tool, we agreed a fair price and his crew was out the next day before 8:00. Bang on time. They stayed until 7:00 pm to finish in one day. Courteous, quick, and a fabulous job.

Very BAD EXPERIENCE. I went by the reviews listed on Angie's list and spoke to him on phone. I am alarming you its a TRAP. I had the work scheduled after talking to him and he asked me what is needed what kind of house it is, what is the space looks like( 500 sq ft area for common areas, no furniture no bedroom) for the floor polishing including stain and 2 coats oil based finish in $1150 taking 2 days which was all done in writing on text messages and talking on phone. He sent his workers before him to get the stuff loaded in house for doing the work. His guy explained me the whole process and how they will move the kitchen stove and fridge and do the whole work. He walked in 30mins later and walked into house and said oh its maple floor or oak etc. etc.. its more work, i need $150 more and we won't do the area behind the stove or fridge etc etc.. He started showing me that he doesn't do kitchens, dining in that price and all and he doesn't want to commit the 2 days work will be done which were his actual words when we spoke and i have it on text messages.. He wasn't transparent in his talks and when he showed up at my place he started throwing tantrums. Wasted so much of my time and we ended up not getting the work done from him.

Fantastic! Vasile was extremely responsive and flexible. His price was fair and honest. He moved the schedule of his crew to accommodate the timing of my project. And my floors look brand new!!

I had two flooring contractors give me estimates on the flooring in my condo unit. The first contractor (with top ratings on Angie's List) said that the flooring was too damaged and was too thin to be re-sanded. He estimated $5,500 to replace the floor. Vasile said that he could repair the flooring (good that the building had some extra original planks), sand and seal it. He gave me an estimate of $1,300 to do the work. The floors look fantastic! There was a tiny blemish on one board which Vasile fixed the very next day, plus he added another coat of seal. I highly recommend him!

I used Vasile Flooring twice in 2017. I had purchased a house with a living room and hallway that had pre-finished hardwood flooring that was about 20 years old. That flooring was over 20 years old and had a medium oak color that my wife didn't like. There was a carpeted family room that connected to the hallway. The home also had a staircase with wood treads but there was a carpet runner all the way up the stairs. Vasile's crew removed the carpet in the family room and fixed some sub-floor issues. They installed new hardwood flooring in the family room with boards staggered to mix with the old flooring. The carpet runner on the stairs was removed. Finally, all of these areas were sanded down and three coats of high quality stain were applied in a more natural tone. Everything turned out great. About two months after this work was performed I had Vasile's crew refinish hardwood floors in a home that I was selling. His crew also performed some other miscellaneous repair work not related to the flooring. Again, all of the work was excellent. I would definitely use Vasile again.

Vasile was one of the 4 people I requested for an estimate. I got 2 estimates from 2 companies before I met Vasile. I had a good idea of the range of the floor repair job. He responded on the same day told me he is available the next day to give me an estimate. The reasons I choose Vasile flooring: -Vasile is responsive because he cares about his business. He is friendly and cares about if his customers are happy with the result. I really like him as a business owner. -Vasile offered me various suggestions for repairs and his opinions on colors. After meeting with other people and received lower quotes, I choose Vasile on the spot because I feel like he is an honest person and I believe $300 higher cost is worth more than the other guys. His price is very competitive. -Vasile provided me with insurance and signed the contract within 2 days to fulfill my condo HOA requirement. He worked with my schedule to get the work done as soon as his team becomes available. -His team showed up on time, super friendly, did a marvelous job! 3 spots were sanded and they replaced wood on a 2’x2’ area. The entire 2bed2bath condo was refinished. This is the second time I refinish the same floor. It looked so great that I wish I knew of Vasile Flooring 5 years ago. -touch up was needed after I paid. Vasile sent a team member the very next day. I am happy!!! I called this a stress free remodeling experience because I did not have to worry and the great customer service is a bonus!! I will use Vasile again and refer him to my friends and family.

Phenomenal. Showed up as promised and finished a day early. Built up a missing sub floor and installed new boards, sanded and refinished and it looks great!

Vasile and his team did a wonderful job. Vasile was extremely responsive and attentive during the entire process- sending pics frequently and FaceTiming with us to show the progress and make sure we were happy. They were also incredibly efficient and worked hard to make sure the work would be ready for move in day. The quality was very impressive- they made the floors that had numerous issues look beautiful. Couldn't recommend Vasile and his team enough.

Perfect. Pulled up carpet in bedrooms and refinished floors. Also refinished living room. Removed old carpet and tacking. Cleaned up when job was finished.

Vasile's team did a great job--arrived on time, carefully done, nicely finished with quarter round. Vasile also recommended a luxury vinyl plank maker that we ended up choosing and are very pleased!

Vasile and his team are great and were awesome for every part of the process. From scheduling a visit for an estimate, to estimate turn around time (less than day), to starting the job (they actually asked us if they could start on the weekend two days early and did, which worked better for us and them), to communication. Everyone and everything was always professional and top notch. We had them sand and refinish the floors on our main floor. They were 10 years old and appeared severely worn and were very ugly. After the team sanded them we were surprised to find they were better and lighter than we anticipated which gave us much more flexibility. Vasile and the team worked with us to then pick out the best option color wise for what we were trying to do. Additionally, they matched and extended the floor into an additional room where there was carpet. Once completed everything looked as it if was brand new and it completely transformed the look and feel of the place. We even had the old owners over and they couldn't believe it was the same floor, especially the extension. Overall, these guys are the guys to go with. On top of being awesome, their pricing was very competitive, not the cheapest, but below average price for above average performance. You can't beat that.

Vasile was very responsive and flexible in scheduling a time to come out. As a matter of fact, he came out the same evening I made the inquiry. He turned around the proposal the next day and offered a very competitive price. He's very professional and experienced.

Vasile showed up for the bid as expected. Very timely. He suggested a flooring option that would work for a wavy, old floor. Terms were agreed to and his crew showed up as scheduled. The original work estimate was for two days. The actual time was 9 hours one day and 2 hours the next. All work was completed to spec. The crew was very polite and received comments happily. The end product was excellent.

Excellent Service and Quality. I purchased a house and the wood floors were in tough shape (see first photo), and the upstairs didn't match the downstairs. With the amount of stain damage and the nail holes left behind from the tack strips the previous owner left behind, I wasn't expecting perfect floors but Vasile's crew got it very close. The pet and water stains are gone, which was a very pleasant surprise. The nail holes aren't all gone (which was expected), but they're difficult to spot and only really show up when you start looking for them. I could have gone with a darker stain to hide them better, but I preferred the medium brown stain. Even better was that I was able to get this done the Monday after closing, before I moving all the furniture in. Price was for a coat of stain and 3 coats of poly and the project took two days. I'm very happy and would recommend. Only minor issue was punctuality, the installers had a hard time getting to Palatine by 8am, but that's Chicago traffic for you.
