They said they could wait for the promised time but I gave them permission to start earlier. The movers were very pleasant. I already recommended them to other people, friends, and family.

The hourly rate is great for the services provided- $120 for 3 movers (not just workers, trained movers). The scheduling process was simple- just a $50 deposit over the phone. I got a phone call to confirm the day before that tomorrow was the big day and another phone call about a half an hour before the movers arrived. When they arrived, everyone was clean, focused, and friendly. We noted the time they arrived on some paperwork, and the foreman took a look at what we had to be moved. We had a lot more squeezed into our studio than most can fit, and we still hadn't packed the kitchen, so the foreman gave us a new, more accurate estimate (that didn't change the hourly rate, just gave us a better idea of how much we'd be spending by the end of the day). These guys flew- wasted no time getting down to wrapping the furniture in moving blankets- gingerly and always smiling despite the heat. My husband stayed at the old place with the movers, getting a few last things packed while I ran to get the new place opened up and do some cleaning. When they arrived at the new place, they were still so efficient and friendly. All we really had to do was to direct traffic- telling them which room everything went into, and where in that room each piece went. They unwrapped the furniture and folded the blankets while the foreman and I finished up the paperwork. I checked the truck to make sure nothing was left behind, we paid, and they were off to the next job. It was a good experience from start to finish, despite us not being ready. Great value, and I didn't have to worry about my husband's back or friends canceling help at the last minute. We're definitely going to use them again.

The movers took things out of cabinets and moved items to another room. Why would they do that? It should have been wrapped, boxed and labeled immediately as small gold cabinet so it could go right back in the same cabinet. Their wrapping method made everything look like garbage. I had to sort through every piece of paper. Nothing one thing was neatly wrapped. To make matters worse, they labeled the boxes wrong. So nothing was in the proper room. They took out shelves, which I understand, but they didn't label the box. Nothing can be put in place until I find the shelves. It's a total mess. There are hidden costs, which will be added on when they are finished. If your home is small, this company might be good. Not recommended for large homes.

Elite did an exceptional job on our move. We moved from a 3 bedroom 3200 sqft house. The moving crew worked hard, the guys were very polite and did not complain about the heat outside. They packed all of my kitchen and paintings before moving to the new house. The office personal responded to all my questions. My daughter will be moving in few months and I already told her she should be hiring them!

This company restored my confidence in Moving Companies. They delivered what they promised with efficiency and total care of my possessions. The cost was reasonable and the employees were very professional. However, I was not too pleased when I was told there would be a 3% fee if I used my credit card to pay the final bill. Even though they did offer other payment methods, I would have preferred to use my card instead.

Original estimate was 5,300 total bill is now over 11,000. When I questioned the charges, I was informed I supplied incorrect information. My reply was that i answered all questions ask of me, along with naming all items to be moved, room by room. Then their rep (Marie) went into a continuous loop, repeating the original answer. They have the leverage of being in possession of my belongings. I'll pay and sue to recover my monies and for unfair practices.

Called ahead to notify about arrival time and were punctual. Very professional and worked quickly. Had additional moving supplies available, which were needed. Wrapped furniture, mirrors, pictures etc. very well. Before leaving asked if any furniture needed to be rearranged.

It went very well. Finished a head of time. Left without a problem or a mess of packing material behind. Capable of taking furniture apart and putting it back together.

If there was a rating I could give lower than F, I would. I had used them to move from a storage facility to my temporary residence and they were very good. Extremely professional and very fast. 2 1/2 hours to move us in and every box was in the exact room it needed to be. I arranged for them to move us from our residence to a house we purchased 3 miles away. Same amount of rooms/furniture as last time (3 bed rooms) so I assumed it would be about the same, a four hour quote. They originally quoted 7 hours. When I asked why the difference, they could not answer me and re-quoted me four hours. The movers arrived and informed me that there no way they could get the move completed in four hours. Again I asked how the previous crew was able to do so? No answer. I had no choice and told them that I would pay for whatever time it took. I would also like to note that we had already wrapped/secured all of the furniture and it was staged in a few rooms of the house. Also, all beds were disassembled secured. When they opened the truck to begin loading, I found out why the crew who arrived were going to have to charge me more. They quoted me four hours for use of an entire 26 ft. truck. Unfortunately, the crew who showed up didn't have an empty truck. As such, they were unable to fit all of my possessions into their truck in one trip. Had they arrived with an empty truck, it would have all easily fit. So, they expected me to pay more because they didn't bother to empty their truck first. As far as I’m concerned, that is fraud. Also, were obviously in such a hurry to be done, they dropped boxes wherever they wanted, even though the boxes were clearly marked as to which room they should go in. I spent the next four days playing “where’s my stuff” while trying to unpack. The manager called on Monday after the move to see what my experience was with the move. I told him all of this. I also suggested that, if his crew were going to call people names, they should not use words that everyone knows. My son heard them call me a ******* and he knows what the word means. He seemed very upset by this (not the horrible service, just calling me names where they could be heard) and was going to “get to the bottom of things” and call me the next day. It’s been a week and I've not heard back at all. For anyone planning a move, do yourself a favor and hire ANYONE else. You’ll be glad you did.

The initial contact and everything was great. Went back and forth with my sales consultant(Robert) via phone and email several times to hammer out the details. When I was told that it could take up to 14 business days. They only count M-F as a business day, even though their movers working 7 days a week, and their office is OPEN on Saturday. When I heard it was going to take 14 business days(3 weeks), I balked and Robert told me that it usually takes just 2 weeks for the move and not to worry. The move out day(6/16/2016) went pretty well and went very smoothly. I added several items and was charged accordingly. Paid extra to have artwork and piano "boxed" up. Again - I had no problems paying extra. They literally fill up an entire 25 foot truck. 12 days goes by and I did not get a single update. So on 6/28 I decide to call elite movers. After calling them for 2 days (Robert and Esmeralda) - they basically tell me my stuff is still in Chicago and they have no idea when it will leave Chicago. I'm like ***... 2 weeks and it still hasn't moved out of Chicago? They basically brush me off and say it will arrive within the 14 business day window. I call them every 2 days, and they don't have any updates for me until July 6th. Finally the truck arrives on July 11. (25 calendar days, 17 business days later) They offer to take off $10/per business day that it was late. I paid 8,000 for the move - *** am I going to do with $10 a day. The unloading went ok - my door frame got dinged up during the move, they lost 2 legs on 1 side of my kids bed frame, lost 4 legs of a dresser. (took the vendor 3 weeks to get replacement parts, so I wasn't able to use the bed frame). Had 3 bikes moved, all 3 had the front fork misaligned, and wheels needed to be tuned up. And they want me to fill out this ridiculous claims form and paperwork for a couple hundred dollars worth of reimbursements. It's not worth my time to fill out the claims form. Again, I paid over 8 grand for the move, and tipped the 6 movers $100 each(4 that loaded in Chicago, 2 that unloaded in California). If I had to do all over again, I would've hired my own truck($1000), hired professional movers to load($800), hired a professional driver($1000), professional movers to unload($400) - total would've been less than 4,000 and I would've gotten all my stuff within a week. Everyone reading this please do yourself a favor - do NOT use Elite Movers. Save yourself the awful experience.

These guys helped my sister and I move at the end of Feb 2015 on a very short notice (literally 4 days before the actual move). Our plans changed and we ended up needing to go with a moving company instead of going with U-Haul. Our email request/quote request was responded to promptly and with an accurate quote. They responded quickly and clearly to all my questions. The move was from Arizona to Anaheim area. At The Day of the move, they were swift and careful with our stuff. They helped us unwrap things and brought things to the appropriate room. The movers were great, very nice and professional. No hidden fees, no tricks, no trying to swindle us. Overall this was a great experience. I would recommend Elite Moving & storage and will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks Elite movers and crew!

Awesome company and great office personal (mainly Donna and Marry)! I have been used another company in the past and I was bummed to learn that their rates had skyrocketed so my new research led me to Elite Moving & Storage. I must say that I will definitely hire them again and I will be suggesting them to anyone I know who needs movers. The rate that they gave me for the move of my 3 bedrooms house was very solid and Donna even helped me to get a cheaper rate by coming out and looking at what needed to be moved (because some of the items I had to leave behind. The movers showed up on the time frame that Donna told me before and they load the truck in a fair amount of time!!! The guys were all polite, professional and mainly they listened to me comments.

Accommodated us with less than a week's notice and made the appointment for the timeslot we needed. Showed up 45 minutes late, but they hustled in the heat to get everything moved quickly. They were one of the few companies that quoted the job for 3 men per hour versus 2 men.

'This was the worst experience EVER! Not only did they break and 'LOST' multiple items, they men that delilvered my furniture had dirty and torn clothes....one guy had a huge rip in his nylon shorts that you could see his entire backside!!!! They broke my sewing machine, snapped off the legs of two upholstered chairs, lost 3 bins of items, lost a piece to a metal shelving unit, broke the legs off a small table ETC..... Contacted their insurance co., sent pictures and descriptions of damage. Not even a dollar in restitution! It has cost me more than 1000.00 in replacements and repairs. Everyone steer clear of this company!!!! Just do it yourself and rent a UHaul truck!!!!

The pickup of furniture from my home was well wrapped and easily moved to their truck. What I didn't find out until they picked up the furniture was that it was going into storage at their facility until they had a full truck to go down south. I understood their logic but wished I had been given that information when booking the move so I could plan accordingly. When they picked up the furniture they asked me if there would be enough room in the apartment complex to bring the truck in, I called my daughter and she replied "yes" she had seen many large moving trucks in the facility. When they finally called to say they would be delivering the furniture (her bedroom set, bed, chair, desk, dresser, and about 15 boxes, it was about 1 week after they had picked up the furniture from my home. They called while on the road, entering Florida, to say they would be there in about 5 hours; this would have put them at a delivery time of about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. They did not arrive to my daughters apartment until 8:30 p.m. that night. They said they hit traffic (I've hit traffic too, but it's never pushed me back that long). Once there, they refused to pull their truck into the apartment complex. We talked to the driver on the cell phone and he told us that the security wouldn't let him in. That was not true. The company had an extra wide cab on their truck which would make it very close pulling through the gates of the complex. Basically they never even pulled the truck up to the gate to see if it would work. Instead, they told my daughter that if she wanted her belongings that they would have to keep them overnight and bring them back the next day in a smaller truck all of which we would have to pay an additional $300-$600. Also they told her she had stairs to walk up to her 2nd floor apt. and they were charging her extra per stair after the first 7 stairs. My daughters building has an elevator, right across from the stairs, which worked but they still talked about charging her for the stairs. The end result was that we didn't feel they were making an effort to deliver the furniture like they promised because it was so late and they wanted to end their night (they still had a truck loaded with undelivered furniture, I felt like they were giving the same story to a lot of people). My daughter and her friend unloaded the furniture themselves onto the curb in front of her apartment complex, without any help from the movers. The men got into the truck that they said could not fit into the complex (even though many other trucks have before and since), and made a U-turn in the street and left. My daughter's friend went to Home Depot, rented a truck for $30 and moved the furniture into the apartment themselves. The movers were rude and just wanted to leave. My daughter spoke to the apartment office the next day about the truck and whether or not it would have been able to get through to deliver her furniture and the office said absolutely it would have gotten through. No one who lives there has ever needed to rent a smaller truck to transfer their belongings to move in. I would never recommend this company to anyone!

When we moved to our temporary housing the movers were extremely helpful - less time than quoted, professional and all furniture undamaged. We then had them come back and move us out of our temporary housing and to have our items placed in storage for a few days. This took twice as long and went over the quote. They called us afterwards to add on additional time. When they took the items out of the storage they had to reschedule 3 days later but still charged us for storage those days. When unpacking our wardrobe boxes we quickly noticed name brand coats missing. We asked to look through the hanging boxes and did not find. They insisted the boxes were not open and insisted that we had to pay them for the delivery and to call their 'Manager" for reimbursement. Over $500 worth of clothing was stolen from us, our furniture was damage and nothing was done about it. The "Manager" asked the three employees who said they didn't take it so that was there story. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

All of the items were delivered as promised and in the same condition they were in when they were picked up. We were very happy with their services.

They were off the chain. They were good. I did web searches and everybody said that they were good and they were rated A1 from the Better Business Bureau as well. The price was good. They quoted me a lower price but it was my fault because I had twice as much stuff. They quoted me like $1900 but I had too much more stuff so it ended up costing me like $2500. It should have been double but I wasn't prepared for it and they said okay. They were extremely timely and they could do the move like I wanted them to. If I had gone over to anybody else, it would have cost me up to four grand's because I moved from Michigan to Texas. It was just two guys that got everything and did the move. They were quick, professional and fine. They moved our two houses of furniture up here. I don't have my furniture yet because I had to get to Texas myself. They also give us one month free storage. Another thing I liked about them was that the movers are company owned and it is not contracted out so that was perfect. My husband is a trucker and he has his own trucking company so he said if the company owns the drivers and the other employees then it will come out better. I have referred them out to.

They did an awesome job; the people and the movers were great. They worked fast and considerately of our belongings. They moved things where they were supposed to go and made sure to take my things that I did not care about. Our experience went well but the only problem was that they underestimated the size of the things and could not take everything; we still have to go back and get a truck load of stuff.

They did a good job. There were a few stops and a lot of boxes but the guys worked hard and fast to get the job done

I think the main thing that I didn't like was that they came in a generic truck, and they delivered it in a different rental truck. This means that my things have been moved and changed hands multiple times. Numerous items of mine were damaged in the process. Upon delivery (which was late), they set my things outside in the yard, so that they could set up my bed, which they had loaded first. It was all the way in the back of the truck, so my belongings were sitting there, outside in the rain, as they got to my bed. We pulled our electronics inside and set things on blankets so that it wouldn't ruin our new carpet. Some of my jewelry even came up missing, after we unpacked. I am disappointed in their service and would not use them again. The office staff was great about getting things set up, but the movers that do the work need some help.

They called me a couple of times to give me an update on my items. They didn't break anything, and did a good job. Nothing really stood out to me from them. They are the only moving company I have ever used.

They withheld a deposit that I gave them on the move. Then when they came, they claimed that I had more than what I had listed. In fact, I had less. But they raised the price by $400 on the spot. I refused out of principal more so than anything else. Movers already have a horrible reputation so I was a little defensive anyway, but they said it would cost me more and refused. Well, they claimed that since I cancelled, that I still had to pay the deposit. They said that they had sent a truck from Chicago but was already in Bloomington on the way back to Chicago and I was on the way anyway so that was an exaggerated claim. They said I didn’t give them a 3 day notice, but I only contacted them 2 days before the move. They sent me a binding agreement for $1300.00 which I agreed to. I cancelled the increased price, not the original price. They are the ones who cancelled the original agreement, not me. When they arrived, a guy came into the house to determine the work. He didn’t count the boxes. He didn’t compare what I had said. If he did, he would’ve seen that it was actually less. I’m so tired of companies trying to take advantage of people. Most people in my position would’ve had to pay it. Luckily, I had alternatives. Now when they show up with the truck, they raise the price, and I disputed the increased price.
