We had a disastrous experience with GS Flooring of Arlington Heights, subcontractors of Home Depot, in the summer of 2006, in that GS installers failed to lay down the moisture absorbing felt under the floor, and told us that they had done so. In contrast here, we felt that we were treated honestly. Amber Hardwood Floors' workers were skilled, polite and cleaned up after their work. We felt that this family-owned business was committed to providing good service at a fair cost. The whole experience was a relief.
Description of Work: They removed carpet and padding throughout the second floor of our 1,800-foot (entire house) townhouse; installed red oak select floors and stained with 3 coats of waterbased finish and a satin stain; refinished 13 stair treads and installed and refinished 14 stair risers.
