great job. He explained exactly what he was going to do and estimated time it would take each day. It looks great and he didn't leave a mess. Charged exactly what he bid.

He was quick to respond and visit for an estimate. The work was done about a week later. The patch does not look all that different from the rest of the ceiling (you'd have to be looking for it). He did an excellent job of protecting the work area with drop cloths and cleaning up afterwards. Very pleased.
Description of Work: Ceiling plaster was peeling away from an underlying crack. He stripped back the plaster, fixed the crack and re-plastered the area to match the rest of the ceiling.

It was absolutely perfect - on time and a little under estimate! Ken came in while we were out of town, and when we came back, you'd never know he was there except for the beautifully repaired walls. Everything was as promised and he cleaned up completely after himself.
Description of Work: Fitzpatrick Plastering (Kendall) repaired a big hole in our plaster under a window left behind by the previous owner of our 1920s-era house, and also repaired a strange fissure that had appeared under another. He also cleaned up some shoddy repair work (drywall compound in plaster) done by someone else.

It went very well. He responded to me the same day and set up an appointment for that weekend. He started work within two weeks, was there promptly at 8:00 every day, and finished on time and on budget. The workmanship is excellent. Also a very nice guy and easy to work with. I would use him again in a heartbeat!

Owner was punctual for estimate as well as actual work. Came to my residence, gave immediate and thorough feedback on what he would do then gave an estimate. Arrived exactly on time on date of service. Did the work exactly as he described and finished earlier than he expected. Because of this, his actual charge was lower than the estimate. The plaster work was unbelievably good. The old work involved a sandy surface with a swirl effect. He duplicated this exactly on the new work. Once I paint over it, there will be no way to tell where he even worked. I cannot say enough about how good his work was. He was quick, efficient, and performed flawlessly. He was rather self-deprecating about his work, saying he was lucky it went so well. This was not luck. He is clearly experienced at what he does. He charged a premium for his service, but he deserved it. I was hoping it would look decent. His job was way beyond my expectations. If you need complicated plaster work, this is the man you want.
Description of Work: We are remodeling our house. We tore out a pantry and closet to combine our dining and living room. After we had done so, I realized there was no way I could properly finish the new drywall to match the old. There is a layer of sand applied over the drywall with a swirl effect-far beyond my basic capabilities. I contacted a drywall company to come finish the new work and they took about 10 seconds to tell me they couldn't do it either. I learned my house has drywall with a layer of plaster applied over it, then sand and swirl. I was given the name of Fitzpatrick Plastering.
