Very well. Woody’s sent someone to do an estimate, told me when they could do the work and showed up right on time. Everything was cleaned up and removed immediately upon completion.

Wanted crabapple tree topped off. Listened to Mark and just had dead wood cut out. Later in the year a branch way up broke and I had to pay again to remove it. Otherwise he did a good job with the rest. Should have listened to my own instincts. Firewood always good, nicely seasoned.

Very well. I thought it needed to be cut down but he indicated it just needed a trim and two years later it looks really nice.

Great. Team arrived on scheduled and cleaned up when finished.

The removed the tree without damaging the lawn or house and left no mess. They returned a couple days later to grind the stump out after having the underground electrical lines, gas lines marked.

Went very well. I have received many complements on how well my trees look. No damage to house.

we have a large ash tree on our property that we needed cut down, as it was dead. We got 4 estimates for the work. Woody's Tree Service had the most competitive estimate by far, was $1500 lower than next closest estimate. They came when scheduled, took care of the work, flush cut the stump and left the wood (as requested by a neighbor) in a neighbor's adjoining yard. Thank you, Woody's ! We will definitely use you again if needed!

WARNING! What you save, may cost you a lot in the end. Woody?s is sloppy, careless, and doesn?t communicate. They ruined large sections of my lawn, with vehicles running on rubber tank like tracks. After talking to a supervisor, I was assured that any lawn damage would be fixed, and was given a date when he would be out to assess the damage. If he came out, he never spoke to us, or called back. After several more days, and after filing a police report, they come out, after dark, with no lighting, to attempt to do repairs. I pointed out a large damage area they had missed. They did come back again, and seeded more areas. Since it is mid October, I expect that I will still have to do these repairs again in the spring.

It has been good. We have used them before. We have used them a couple of times. Overall they have been good. The tree was putting our house at risk so we had to put it down because it was so rotten. The guy went up there to cut some of the limbs down and we heard a crack on the base. So he got out of the tree as quickly as he could. So we basically pull it down and chopped it up and got it out of the area. They do a good clean up. Their prices are on the lower end regardless of the big deal that we used that is why we want to use them. The downside is they've got some new equipment that they were getting used to. So they were still adjusting to their new equipment. But I assume that by now they are effectively using them. They have a platform that they use to cut quicker.

They did an OUTSTANDING job. They used amazing equipment and really did a perfect job. They went over and above and moved our kayaks away and put them back when they were done. They also moved an incredibly heavy rock that was in the way, and moved it to a very good location. The service was prompt and ultra-professional. We used them once before to trim the trees and again, they did an excellent job.

We believe in hiring locally whenever we can, but this time it definitely was a mistake. The company was very responsive to our request for a quote to remove several bushes and trim some trees. Mark arrived as expected and provided a verbal quote in which he indicated the job would be $500-$600. The work was completed over two days due to weather. The first day the bushes were removed and the trees were trimmed. A few days later the crew returned to remove the bush stumps. All went well until we received an invoice asking us to pay $750.00. (25%+ more than the original quote). I immediately called the office and left a message indicating we received an incorrect bill. Mark returned my call and left a message telling us the "scope of the job was larger than originally planned" (which was completely untrue) and that "the job took longer than anticipated" (if the work took longer than he had anticipated, that's the company's issue, not ours. And both my spouse and I were here the entire time they completed the work...if there was such an issue it should've been brought to our issue then.). Instead of continuing to play phone tag with Mark, we sent a letter indicating our disappointment with their billing practices. That was over 3 weeks ago and we've received no response. Clearly they're not interested in keeping us as customers. To make matters worse, we just realized a large section of a Swamp Birch tree they trimmed is actually dead and needs to be removed. We believe as tree "professionals" they should've been able to tell the tree was half dead. Such a disappointing experience - will not use again. Update as of 6/15/2015: I contacted company regarding large dead tree limb that was missed. Mark came to house, looked at tree and said they'd take care of it at no charge. And, they did! Yeah! Although I still feel I overpaid based on the estimate, I'm grateful they returned to remove the dead limb.

Successfully removed two trees, returned two weeks later to grind stumps.

Excellent. Pricing was great ($1400 vs other quotes that came in at $2000 and $3250). Tree removal work was excellent, and fast (large crew, good equipment). Clean up was thorough. Came back a couple of days later to do the stumps, after having Julie mark underground lines. Stumps ground to well below grade. Couldn't be happier.

Scheduling was a problem a few times due to weather and delays from previous appointments. All in all, it took 3 visits to complete the job (although it was a very large tree). They mostly cleaned up after themselves. Only complaints is that I have huge craters in my lawn (left by massive tree trunk pieces crashing into it) that they did not fix. They tried putting some stuff in the holes, but I still ended up with a bunch of bare patches up to 3-4" deep that I need to take care of, and put new grass on.

Poorly. Woody's hired a crane operator and didn't pay the subcontractor. The subcontractor, Gatwood Crane, came after me legally for payment. Woody's wouldn't repsond.

Very well. Arrived at the appointed time. Very experienced and professional. Removed a lot of dead wood and suckers. Removed branches that were close to the house and porch. Always checking for confirmation that what I wanted was being done. Clean up was well done. Spent a bit more than I wanted to, but clearly got my money's worth. This is a high-value service provider. Look forward to having them back in a few years.

When I called to confirm the scheduled appointment on the day before the trimming, (which the estimator asked that I do), he didn't have any recollection of doing the estimate. And the estimate was done only 3 days previously. Even when I provided details of the estimate he could not recall the location or price, etc. He said he could get a crew out later in the week but his voice sounded odd: slurred, slow speech. I told him that I was not comfortable with his inability to provide the service when it was expected or even remember it (!) and that we would take our business elsewhere.

The guys were great., always willing to do a little extra as I thought of other small things I'd like to have done. Never a hesitation or a thought of revising the quote. Price was LESS than 1/2 of another quote we had. Woody was here most of the time working as hard as anyone else. No doubt in my mind where I'm going after the next storm destroys a tree or two....Woody's Tree Service. As the popular saying goes, "If you don't get a quote from Woody, you're payinhg too much!"

He came to the sight to see what the men were doing and then he left and didn't come back to check to see how the job was done. And we didn't have them to come back the second time because after they cut the tree; the stumped in the ground they did it once but they had to come back and do it again.

Woody had a good quote and did the work without a hitch. Woody himself was part of the crew - it's nice to deal directly with the owner. In a nutshell they did the work professionally at a good price and I have no complaints.

I contacted them via email t set up a time for an estimate. They called back the same day and were out within 4 days. They began work a few days later. Since it was around the holidays and they had to deal with weather, they did the job over a couple of weeks, but that was ok with us. Employees were nice and completed the work well.

They did a great job. They were conscientious, neat, and clean.

Their price was better than any other estimate and they performed the work as requested and on time. What more could I ask>
