I was very pleased with all of the information. The owner of the company was the one who came out to do the estimate. He told me they don't work on price, they do it right. Their equipment was RHEEM which was at the top of the food chain. He provided me with consumer reports ratings and was the only company that provided me with a folder with information on them, the product, and angies list article . Unfortunately I hadn't budgeted for the A/C failure so I had to go with a cheaper unit and company but if I had the budget I would have gone with TOPTEC. I also had him estimate a whole house air purification system and was excited about that but couldn't afford it. When my furnace goes out, I will have budgeted for it and will call TOPTEC.

The tech was very nice and explained my system to me in detail. He wore boot covers and left the area spotless.

Once the technician arrived (he was 1hr late) he was very pleasant and informative w/out being pushy.

The Tech from Top Tec (Jan), was fantastic. He showed up five minutes early and was very personable. The work was performed with a high level of professionalism. The price was just as quoted by Jan. He cleaned the furnace, changed the April air filter and some other parts. I really like this company and so does my in-laws.

The Customer Service level exceeds any expectations I had, from start to finish. I was impressed by the whole experience, the person who answered the phone was very polite and seemed like an old friend trying their very best to help me. The Tech. who came to perform the work (Jon), was very polite and professional. The job was done with a higher level of quality than you get from some of the bigger companies. I was and still am pleased with Top Tech. and I will use them again.

Three visits from Toptec, and the problem has not been resolved to my satisfaction. On the first visit the tech tightened something, but shortly after he left the whine resumed. On the second visit, the tech replaced a gasket on the inducer motor. After the visit, instead of a whine, the furnace made a very loud vibration when running--it sounded like a truck idling in my basement, and was much worse than the whine ever was. On the third visit, the tech informed me that he had bent something when replacing the gasket that was causing the vibration, and that they would replace my inducer motor. The inducer motor has been replaced, but the vibration remains, although it is quieter, and the whine is still there. I do not want this company to try and fix this problem again, despite the fact that the service would be covered under my home warranty and I would not have to pay for the repair. I have placed a call to another company to see if they can resolve this.

All personnel very pleasant and prompt. I was told by installing both furnace and air at same time would save $600. Also I would receive a senior discount of $200. Their proposal after looking at site only had a total price. I requested a detail breakdown of price which was mailed and it showed only a $400 savings for both. Total installation time was 8 hours. They used existing sheet metal vents and taped all joints but I had to ask that they also tape the top metal joints right above unit within reach. Was shown the new washable filter that came with unit but noticed it flopped open about 2 inches from vent. (Filter looks very flimsy.) Installer did not think that was a problem. He also said not to use the Filtrete filters I had remaining. When they left I noticed a deep burn hole in rug where installer had been using a blow torch. Also I had to cleaned up 5/6 bolts or screws and foam left on floor area. This Rheem Super Quiet unit was VERY noisy and blew out air so forceful that it lifted the rug upstairs around the heat vent. E-mailed Toptec but after a week no reply. E-mailed again about air problem and rug burn (Never received an apology.) They replied via e-mail I needed to call and arrange installer to check. They wanted to send same guy but I thought a different one would be better to compare info. Again prompt and very nice. This installer immediately knew the problem to switch some plug-in to reduce blower. He also had to remove entire blower and create a holder for the filter by drilling a holder to secure it. He also said using the Filtrete filter was a good idea! Did not ask for down payment. I gave first installer total check when he was finished.

We wanted to replace our 11 year old furnace with an energy effecient one, and wanted to clean the airducts because of recurrent headaches I was waking up with. We also had certain rooms that were too hot or cold depending on the season. Toptec discovered that there was a gas leak in the furnace, and that the duct work in the walls was not sealed, allowing insulation and other air pollutants to be pumped through the HVAC system to our entire house. They explained everything they were doing very thoroughly, including tips to improve our energy efficiency which were not part of our service. The entire staff was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Since the new furnace I have stopped having the headaches I would wake up with, and all of our rooms maintain the same temperature.

Toptec Heating and Cooling was one of two companies that came out to look at my situation that could do the work. It took them one week to do the work and they did an excellent job of hooking it up to my existing duct work. They were good to show up when they said they would. I would use them again if needed.

They did a more complete evaluation of our home to meet our needs. They explained all areas of the furnace. They came when they said they would. The installation went fine. The owner checked the work to make sure it was done to his satisfaction. They came back to take care of a minor problem.

There prices were high. I felt like they wanted me to have services that were not necessary.

I like using Toptec because they actually call and remind me when I need the service done. The people that have come out to my house were pretty friendly and flexible as far as setting up, which day and time to come out.

The tech came in and gave our system a thorough review. He made some adjustments and repairs to our system, that have seemed to improve not only the blower and humidifier problem, but the system seems to run quieter and more efficiently. Thanks!

TOP TEC HAS BEEN TO OUR HOUSE A FEW TIMES. THEIR TECHNICIANS ARE VERY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. THIS CALL WAS FOR THE FURNACE, BUT WE ALSO USED THEM 1 1/2 YRS. AGO FOR INSTALLING A NEW A/C SYSTEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. THEY ALSO DO AIR DUCT CLEANING.
