Nelson Electric is the best electrical contractor I’ve used in my thirty-eight years of owning and updating my homes. It is difficult to find an excellent contractor who is willing to take on a major remodeling project in old construction, and who handles it efficiently, cost-effectively, and with perfection. This time we were remodeling a 110 year-old bathroom. When we got down to the studs, joists, and rafters, the plans were worthless because of all the surprises. Unphased, the crew was able to trace every hidden wire to destination and source, re-route them as needed, install a new, larger, circuit breaker box, pull wire through neatly, clearly identify and label everything, and finish beautifully the lighting, overhead heating, floor heating, and exhaust fixtures, making for a beautiful bath. Scott Nelson Electric provided excellent service from start to finish. Our call was responded to promptly. The electrician arrived on time, quickly assessed the problem, and efficiently fixed it. He was very professional and did a thorough job. He respected our property and did a meticulous clean-up afterward. We are very pleased with the results. We highly recommend Scott Nelson Electric.

Set an appointment for the following week. Scott will need to order new lights and dimmers for the project and we set an appointment for January 8, 2022. Electricians called and said they were running one hour late with one of their jobs. Had problems locating the transformer boxes as two were hidden behind the cabinets and they couldn't gain access to them. They were able to replace the strip lighting above the sink area and said if I could find a replacement puck light for one location, they would be able to come back and install it, but indicated it would be more economical for us to have another job for them to do. We did have another project that was discussed. I would have preferred that the electricians try to find the replacement puck light rather than me having to do all the footwork.

These guys were great communicators, gave a fair quote, and did an excellent job with a new outlet install. Highly recommended and I'd definitely hire again.

Scott came out to trouble shoot our electrical problem when we could not get 4 other electrical companies to call us back. They quickly discovered the problem and made repairs. They were knowledgeable, professional and personable. Definitely recommend them and will definitely use them again when needed.

These guys were excellent. Two workers showed up promptly at the starting time, checked out the job and explained everything they would be doing. They used tarps to keep things clean and were very careful carrying in ladders and supplies. They asked questions to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and made suggestions where needed. They did a great job at a great price!! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done.

Excellent. Eric did a great job. He was quick but thorough and explained what he was doing along the way. Also, as a bonus, he told me where I could get an odd-shaped light that I had been trying to replace with no luck for a long time. I would definitely use Scott Nelson Electric again.

Both of them gave me great advice about what my options for repair were (what kind of fixtures, bulbs, etc.), the advantages and disadvantages of each, and cost aspects of each. It went great. When I contacted the company on a Friday, the owner, Scott Nelson, returned my call right away. Though they couldn't fit me in for a regular service call for another 3 weeks, Nelson agreed to come by that next Monday and give me an assessment and estimate about the electrical panel. He said if the fuse issue was something quick to fix, he would try to take of it. Nelson arrived on time on Monday and was able to both give me an assessment (of what it would cost to upgrade my panel from 20 to 30) as well as assure me that, right now, everything was fine except that something was triggering the arc fault circuit and that needed looking at. Luckily, one of the service calls that day had cancelled so about 2 hours later, Ben and Eric came over to diagnose and fix the problem. They were friendly yet professional and though it took some time to figure out what was tripping the circuit, they were able to do so and now I have working lights at the top of the stairs and on the front porch. I really appreciated how both Scott Nelson and his workers, Ben and Eric, explained things to me and they handled my big, friendly dogs well. I will definitely be using Scott Nelson Electric in the future for any electrical needs.

Eric is a young electrician that takes pride on his work and loves what he's doing! He was on time and very professional, he finished the whole project in timely manner and I really liked the fact that Scott charges based on job and not hourly, a huge plus!!! Definitely I will hire them again and I'm happy to see young blood coming up and doing such and excellent job!

Ben did an excellent job and was super nice to work with. He was on time, worked quickly and solved our problems for very little cost. Would hire again!

Scott Nelson came out and gave estimate same day and I called them back and set up appointment to do the work the following week. Installers were early and very friendly. Did do work efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. Everyone was awesome and timely. I will definitely have them come back with other projects in near future.

Scott came out to give us a written quote on multiple repairs and upgrades to our 1920s home. He was the only electrician of 3 we contacted through Angie's list that came in person to look at the home and provide a quote. The other 2 companies just gave ballpark figures by email. On the day of the scheduled work, the team was friendly and professional. They reviewed the 10+ items on the quote with me and confirmed any details. They installed 2 ceilings fans, added hallway lighting, replaced 2 wall outlets, installed some new ceiling fixtures, added a timer to an outdoor light and added a flood light over the garage. All work was completed in one day. We are very pleased with the work and the team. Scott came by to check on the project mid day and make sure all was going as planned. We would highly recommend and will definitely use again.

Ben and Chris arrived on time. We walked through the house pointing out all scheduled work. They went to work immediately assigning tasks and working together. Scott came by to monitor progress, quality and assist as needed. He left then returned again to monitor work. It's reassuring when the owner stops by to check the quality of work though I had no doubt concerning Ben and Chris' work. They are extremely thorough, even ordering black wall plates to blend with the bookcase. The team cleaned behind themselves as they completed each task. They were professional, polite, and technically proficient. I would hire this company again. Excellent work all in one day. Don't forget to use Angie's list 5% discount. :-)

They were able to find the correct transformer and as soon as it was delivered, they called and came out that same afternoon. So nice to turn the light on and not hear a buzz, meaning the transformer would need reset. Both Scott and Eric were great to work with and we will certainly use again and recommend them to friends.

The work was done efficiently and well. We are thrilled with our new lighting. The quote process was quick, informative and thorough. Not only was the price less than what we were quoted by others, but Scott made sure we knew what would be happening so we had no surprises when the work started. Can't recommend them highly enough.
