The technician called and left a message at noon today to say that they were ahead of schedule; they left a voice message that they could make it to our house by 12:30pm. Of note, our appointment was between 2-4pm. I wasn't able to respond until 1pm since I had an appointment but called the technician back at 1pm to say that I would be home at 1:30. However, someone was already at our home had the technician stopped by the house at 12:30pm. The technician did not call back to my 2 messages and obviously skipped our appointment time. I then called the Rein office at 2:30pm to inquire about the status of our appointment . I spoke to Anthony to which he explained that he released the technician for the day since I didn't call back in time. I think he was very unprofessional and unapologetic. I am still not sure what is an acceptable timeframe to call him back would have been and I was very disappointed that there was no follow-up after he released his technician. We moved furniture and our cars out of the driveway to ensure that the technician could do their work. I am sure to not use this service in the future.

The work was perfectly done. The workmen were excellent, and the man heading up the job was top notch. As I said, we'd had a problem with the circuit breaker tripping at breakfast. IIRC: They upgraded the wiring and took the existing ceiling can lights off the toaster-backsplash circuit, put them on a new circuit that they then extended to the new cans they installed over the breakfast bar. Everything perfectly done. No cutting corners. Problem solved. Safety assured. They prepared for the cuts in the ceiling with great care and accuracy, did it perfectly, and cleaned up everything before they left. Since that time we've had them do some minor jobs such as changing out ceiling fixtures in the living room and family room. They've always done fine work. They're based in Libertyville, and when they come to Chicago, they don't step down from their standards. We used to live in their area, and moved to the city for its many amenities. Rein Electric knows how to treat people decently. They don't regard Chicago residents as somehow "left behind," in our experience.

They were able to schedule me within a few hours of inquiry. They are so professional and trustworthy. A great company that we've used before and will continue to use for all of our electrical needs.

Great company for electrical needs! We moved into a new house with a few electrical questions due to terrible previous homeowner DIY electrical work (such as not knowing what all the switches turned on/off as well as which outlets actually worked, etc). Anthony came out and talked to us about what we were looking for and gave us a ballpark estimate on what it would cost barring anything unexpected. We got an appointment scheduled and an electrician came out and completed the work. We had a full home electrical inspection, installation of 2 outlets in basement, installation of missing chain for basement ceiling lamp, installation of timer for outdoor porch light, and installation of a whole house surge protector. Easy to schedule, good workmanship, and reasonable price. We will use them again in the future for any electrical needs.

It took 2 weeks to get the appointment. The technician was prompt on the day of service. They did not provide a verbal or written estimate which was my mistake for not requesting one. I just never imagined that one hour of work would cost us over $500. The technician did a decent job, but for the cost we will not be using this company again.

Fast, friendly, and professional. I didn't mention how I had found Rein Electric when I scheduled the service, but two hours later I received email from the owner to let me know that he was aware of my call and that I should contact him directly if I had any questions. The electrician showed up early and finished earlier than expected. The work was all high quality. I would definitely use them again.

We had a very poor experience with Rein Electric. When we questioned why the cost of the run was $200, because it seemed high for a 30 foot wire in an unfinished basement, we were told that that's what it costed for good labor and that we "were not the right customer" for them. We agreed we were not the right customer.

Decent provider, they did what they advertised. Installation was a little sloppy but they came out and made it right. I think it was a waste of money - not something we really needed but purchased it because it was a "deal".

It went perfectly. Scheduling was easy, and we only had to wait about a week to get an electrician out to us (compared to the 2-6 weeks for other providers we contacted). Paul arrived 30 minutes early and was very congenial and professional. He got right to work and knew exactly what to do. It took him approximately 90 minutes from looking at the ceiling to having the fan completely installed. We would definitely use Rein electric for all of our future needs. The only criticism I have is how early Paul arrived. I was traveling home from work to meet him at 1:00 pm and barely got in before he called saying he had arrived at 12:25.

Technician was very knowledgeable and courteous. All went well.

The electrician, Greg, arrived a few minutes early. He quickly figured out what the problem was and installed a new sump pump, electrical outlet, and circuit--and replaced a broken light fixture. He completed this work in what seemed to be a very reasonable time frame. He was pleasant to deal with and explained everything thoroughly. The Angie's List discount was a bonus...but even without it this was a good price and a good experience. Will definitely use them for future work. Glad to have found them on Angie's List.

We moved into our home at the end of May and have already had Paul from Rein come out twice for electrical work in our house. He was prompt, very professional and willing to work with our schedules to complete the work. We have an old home with plaster walls and Paul was very careful to not damage the walls when cutting holes for new electrical. We will use Rein Electric for all electrical work in the future.

We used Rein to correct some electrical work that handymen had messed up. They responded promptly to my inquiries over angieslist and we had the work scheduled to occur within a few days of contact. The work was simple enough and the electrician completed the work promptly, explaining what he had to do along the way. The only issue was that the electrician showed up well before the window, which caused some coordination issues between having the work done and completing some other stuff around the house. Otherwise, a great experience and they will be our first call should we need more work done!

Kevin was great! He looked at the list. Took a quick look and explained everything that would be done and how it would be done. Everything went without a hitch. I will definitely call these guys again.

Clean and precise labor. Outdoor outlet required a hole to be drilled in the brick wall to run the wire form the kitchen outlet to the outside one. Speakers where installed by drilling the bricks to anchor the supports. RCA cable was run perfectly to make it look nice into a cover box and connected to banana plugs . Now I just plug , any source of music to enjoy it in my backyard. I would interview Rein again in the future.

Anthony came out promptly and on time for the estimate. I appreciate that he as the owner comes out to do estimates instead of a sales person. The technician was prompt and pleasant. No issues with the install and came in right as estimated. Would definitely use again.

Anthony sent one of his workers who was prompt and got to work immediately. Very professional and the job took about 3hrs. Will use Rein again.

The service was okay, but there was a lot of fine print in it that we missed when we purchased it, so we had to pay a little more afterwards. The $75 was to just get the fan installed into the ceiling, but it wasn't to run any lines or anything, so it cost a little more. I had two $75 vouchers and I had to pay and additional $75 per fan. They were professional, but my main concern was when you hear ceiling fan installation, you assume that is everything, there are no little by the ways. It sounds like a big deal, but when you think about it, it isn't a big deal. I would not use them again, because I did not find a huge value for what they did.

The service went fine. One electrician came out and completed the work in about an hour. He did a great job. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

The service worked out fine. They came out maybe a week after I bought the Big Deal and the $151 Big Deal purchase price covered everything. They were really late, but after they got here, everything was fine. Once they were here, they were very responsive. We did not know if we were going to need to get a switch. He was going to wait for me to go to the hardware store, but then, it was in the box so we were fine. I would possibly use them again in the future.

I searched to find someone able to repair my electrically ignited gas lights. The provider even called the manufacturer to help with the troubleshooting. They were able to identify the problem, ordered the correct parts and are coming back to install. Still not installed waiting for a response.....

They did a good job. They did an okay job. The cost covered everything. I don't remember any problems.

Install was great. Tech was on time, friendly, and did a great job. We are very happy with the service.
