We had 2 entrances to a bedroom & closed one off. The one we closed off had the light switch next to it. Rein Electric came in and added a new "remote" switch to the wall next to the remaining entrance. They did not need to run any pipe or wires. There are now 2 functioning light switches on opposite sides of the bedroom which makes it nice for turning off the light once you get into bed. They were on time for both the appointment for the estimate and the appointment to do the work. They were very professional & knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and offered up good suggestions for other projects we were planning. We will definitely use them again for any future electric work.

The technician came out quickly and he understood what I needed. I didn’t feel there was any insulation of what additional work might need to be done. He was very straightforward. He seemed to know exactly what needed to be done and the best way to do it. I would be calling them so they can actually do the work.

The electrician did a good job and was very professional. I would use them again.

We were having a problem with our barn's automatic water device in the cold weather, when the heating element should work and keep the water from freezing. This is the source of our horse's drinking water - and must be working properly year round. When the heating element would have to turn on (weather below 32 degrees), the GFI circuit would trip and water would freeze. Anthony Rein came out to help us figure out what was happening. Turns out the original installation was done incorrectly. The device actually requires a dedicated machine-rated GFI circuit of it's own on the electrical panel. Electrician Kevin came out - required two separate trips - to correct the wiring in the panel - and also installed an indicator sensor light on the front of the barn so that we can see at a glance if the new circuit ever trips again. I should note that we have not had a problem with the water freezing since the fix was done. A shout out to Kevin who was friendly, very thorough and did a great job in some extremely cold weather. We are grateful to have this problem resolved - especially thru this brutally cold winter.

They are really detailed. We needed to modify a conduit line, and add two lines from a junction box. They added a new junction box for the ceiling fan. The ceiling fan and dining lights are on a dimmer switch. The fan we had chosen was complete with a timer for automatic shutoff. They were able to find one of these for us and bring it today. They worked with me on the amount of drop on the lights and the ceiling fan.

Overall I was pleased with their work. There were some pros/cons as follows: Pros: * They were able to schedule the work in a timely manner, which I greatly appreciated. * They were neat and polite as they worked * They seemed to work quickly (perhaps a bit too much so at times). The job was finished in less than two days. Cons: * Pricing - You may be able to get the work done less costly. * Change of plans - the on sight electrician installed the recessed lighting with a different design than the original designer from the company purposed. He had his rational but I'm not sure which one was correct. * Attention to detail - I have had workmen that were amazing in trying to do as little damage to the walls, etc. when they work. I wouldn't say this was the case for this project. Marks were left on the ceilings, etc. that required painting to be done after the installation. (I had thought about painting but wasn't going to make that decision until the damage was assessed). There was a certain level of "carelessness" in the work conducted that lead me to believe they just wanted to get in and out as soon as possible. Overall, the work was completed and we are satisfied with the result but I would recommend getting more than one quote to validate pricing and I would make sure you "check the details" with the on sight workmen.

Team was very efficient and clean. They walked me through the entire time they would spend, 6 hours with no electricity, and they were on target. Was great to have a new panel that will allow me to add new breakers. They labeled each one and were great to work with. Would hire them again for any electrical needs. They said I may have been the first person to call them based on a sticker they left for the former homeowner.

tCame out in questionable weather[ our winter of 13-14] Installed new 220volt service and breaker panel,did some conduit piping,added a few gfis in a kitchen, and new pipe in a bathroom. Both trips out were ontime and, performed in a workman like manner.Very skilled workers and very reasonable pricing,and quick estimating, and smooth payment plans [credit cards] make Rein my go to contractor.

It's been a while since I've had the service and I'm finally getting around to writing the review. Both gentlemen were extremely professional and did a great job installing my ceiling fans. I also had them replace a dimmer switch that I thought was running too hot. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again in the future.

One of the reasons I hired Rein was because they offer early morning appointments so I could have the work done and still get to work on time. At 7am, the time of the appointment, the electrician called to say he was stuck in traffic and would be a half hour late. At 8am I called him to see if he was close. At 8:30am he finally arrived. Bad traffic is no excuse, it's to be expected in Chicago, especially during the morning rush hour. The work itself only took 20 minutes and was performed well but I ended up aggravated, irritated, and late to work.

It was good. I think they did a good job.

Mike and his crew showed up on-time, performed their duties fine, and finished up without any problems. They ran wire to two rear, two side, and two front channel speakers, one sub-woofer, and wire to the balcony for future expansion. The installation required significant amounts of drywall repair, so I ended up mounting the television once the drywall was repaired and painted. I installed the finish plates, hung all the speakers, routed the center channel speaker wire, and reconnected the entire system. If you're planning on doing a project like this, there will be plenty of? - Repairs necessary afterwards despite the best efforts. - Small tasks necessary afterwards like finish plates, small wiring, and other things overlooked during the project. - Dust and clean-up afterwards despite the crew's efforts. The crew (and I) could have made more efforts to spot check the work done to make sure everything was completed. More effort could have been done to minimize the amount of drywall repairs.

We needed a new generator since the old one wasn't working and couldn't be repaired. They discussed options and were very frank about value for dollar spent. They installed the new generator and have kept in contact for maintenance. I don't remember how long ago this was since everything is working well. They come out once a year for maintenance.

The technician was prompt and completed the installation quickly.

Owning a 1920's house brings it's share of surprises, one of which is the 'farmer style' electrical wiring that was done decades ago in my converted rear porch. Upon discovery of some questionable wiring within the walls of our humble abode, I researched electricians who earned a stellar reputation. The electricians at Rein Electric are these people. I email my inquiry to their email address on their website and received a response within a half hour. I followed up with a phone call and got an appointment when I wanted it!. The electricians Paul and Kyle showed up promptly at the designated time, were courteous and professional throughout, and after the initial discussion (what kind of work I had in mind), Paul assured me he and Kyle would have the job done in a few short hours - - and he was right! They did all the work I requested, answered all of my questions, and I was free to observe and ask questions on the fly without feeling like I was intruding. All in all it was a great experience and I would hire them again in the future without question and I suggest if you are reading this review, Rein is the company you are looking for!

I could not be happier with the work that was recently completed by Paul from Rein. They completed the work on time and came in under budget. How often do you hear that! Paul had two full days of work during a snow storm and I must say, he did an outstanding job. I WILL be using Rain again in the spring for some additional electrical work I need done.

They said I was protected and left. Nothing really happened.

Installed fluorescent lights in basement. I'll never call any other electrical contractor again. Great service at a much better price than I was quoted by another contractor, who then didn't even respond when I tried to schedule the work (and in doing so ended up doing me a favor!)

No problems - the electricians arrived on time, worked efficiently and cleaned-up afterwards. They were friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. I'll gladly contact Anthony again.
