Gina came over, made recommendations for design and install, and arranged for a permit. The job was to take 5 days, but due to periods of rain it took a little longer. They removed the concrete, and levelled the backyard so water would move away from the house. The preparation before laying the bricks was extensive. They laid limestone or some such material and pounded until it was level and graded properly. The guys did an excellent job, and I would use them again. When I found a loose brick, they came over within 1 day to make the repairs. They also corrected paver bricks that another company installed a few years ago that were moving and sliding. The bricks used by JB Brickworks are very heavy, unlike what another company had used in front of the house. JB also used a grid locking system underneath the bricks, to make sure they will not move. The work JB Brickworks did is stunning. They were not cheap, but we feel we got what we paid for. The completed job looks professional, the workmanship was professional, the crew was knowledgable ,courteous, and a pleasure to work with, the work site was left clean. We are completely satisfied, and highly recommend this company.

UPDATE: No response despite a follow-up call. Giving them the benefit of the doubt (perhaps it was a busy spring) I called again in April to learn that David (my contact on the Feb request) was no longer with the firm. I was told that Gina would be in touch. It took several more calls to get an appt with Gina, who came, was very friendly & took iphone pix of what I wanted done as well as pointing out other maintenance she would include in the quote. But no quote, despite 3 calls. No provider is worth this much effort! ORIGINAL: The job was a little slow to get started -- a few calls to get the quote, then a few more to get the work scheduled (I contributed to the phone tag delays), but once scheduled it was completely promptly and beautifully. I appreciate that they readily honored the warranty on the original (2004) installation. That was a large job -- 100+' of paver sidewalks, raised beds with retaining walls along the N & S sides of the house, paver patio with seatwall, bluestone stoop -- all of which look great and are holding up really well.

Terrific! From the first meeting, David was very professional. Knew exactly what we wanted and provided it. He dropped off samples to allow to select the exact color tone we wanted. They did a beautiful job, cleaned up well and insured that we were fully satisfied with the job. We receive many compliments on the new stoop and we enthusiastically recommend JB Brickworks to others.

It is absolutely beautiful! The guys who did the work did it all by hand (taking out old concrete, digging foundation for new walkways, cutting and laying stones, etc). They were professional, hard-working, on time every day, cleaned up each day. I worked with David Fiore and he was responsive, professional and worked to make sure everything was satisfactory.

They came promptly for the quote and the work. Very professional, they worked hard, did a great job, cleaned up well. Very pleased. Looks great.

Their work was delayed somewhat by the rainy weather. The crew worked very hard and completed the work in 3 days rather than the possible week originally estimated. They included a step off the patio which was not included in the original estimate. They were recommended by our landscape company and Brent admitted they are probably more expensive than some other companies. The landscape company said their work is way above average, so we chose JB. The wall was such an integral part of our property that it had to be done right and it was.
