The job, from initial contact to completion, went very smoothly. Mike was terrific at keeping in communication, and in helping me understand that what seemed simple to a customer could be quite involved, once the contractor got into the job. Luckily, the job was relatively simple, and completed very quickly.

I originally contacted Mike to repair a broken spindle. One of his employees RJ came out to the house and discovered it could not be repaired because it had already been done before. He initially replaced it with a stock spindle from Home Depot. The spindle was close but not an exact match so RJ took the initiative and contacted a manufacturer who could recreate our exact spindle. They gave me a great price on the work and the spindle looks great. Another quality job from George Krinninger & Sons!

Mike and his crew did an excellent job! They always showed up early in the morning to start work and the quality of the work is outstanding. The screen room they built is absolutely beautiful - it includes a ceiling/gutter system to catch the rain coming through the deck and keep us dry underneath. The pictures just don't do it justice. Mike was able to install huge screens that spanned the entire area between our existing deck supports. It gives us unobstructed views of the backyard and lets maximum sunlight and wind pass through. And the steps they built are fantastic. At the beginning of the project, Mike identified some old beams that needed replacing and he was able to get that unscheduled work done quickly and at a reasonable price. Especially considering the high quality of his work, Mike is very fair with pricing. Throughout the project, he was very proactive with status updates. His communication is the best of any contractor I've ever worked with. Mike, RJ, and Robin were always pleasant, kind and respectful to us and our home. We were quite comfortable with them here and never hesitated to check out what they were doing and ask questions. They were happy to talk with us about their work. It was a pleasure working with Mike and his crew and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again. We really can't say enough good things about them.

Another visit from our grand dogs and another broken screen. We e mailed Mike over the weekend and he promptly returned or e-mail on Sunday. He said he had another job on Monday, but would try to come sometime Monday. Sure enough, he was here on Monday afternoon. We couldn't ask for faster or better service. He expalined that our screens were getting old and this could be why the dogs were able to punch holes in them. (he hasn't seen the dogs though). We have used him as recently as last month and were extremely satisfied with his work. We have recommended him to other friends as he does great work at reasonable prices.

It went very well and he was quick and very professional. Michael and his assistant were very nice and knowledgeable. I am very happy with my screens and front door.

This was a very difficult job. My screens are huge, so the work had to be done on site. Also, the porch is old and made of cedar, a soft, breakable wood. Mike came out to look at the project and gave me a very fair estimate. (A guy I know who works for a window company confirmed that the price was good, given the amount of work involved.) Mike and a co-worker started at 8 a.m. on a Saturday and finished the job by about 2 p.m. They cleaned up after themselves, and the work was well-done. Although there was a good chance that some of the wood frames were going to break, that didn't actually happen. My porch looks great now!

Mike Krinninger and his crew did a great job replacing two screens that were ripped. His work was quick and very professional. We would not hesitate to recommend him. The new screens look brand new and match our other screens.

My dog decided to run through the screen door and broke the screen. From the beginning, Mike could not have been nicer! I called several other providers of which none called me back. He & I went back forth several times (mainly due to my schedule) but were able to come up with an agreed upon date & time. Each time Mike personally followed up with me via phone. He came to my house on a Saturday morning & fixed the screen, plus he also tuned up the screen door so that it now opens and closes perfectly. Quoted us over the phone from the size I of the screens. Showed up quickly after initial contact. Replaced 13 screens and installed new pins on 12 screens. They look brand new and we are so happy with them. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Mike was very prompt in his response. I received 3 other estimates and he was very straightforward about whether they would be able to beat the price from a larger company such as Ace Hardware. He was not the lowest price but because of his courteousness, the time he spent on the phone with me and his promptness in getting the work done we decided to go with him. There's something to be said for convenience and good customer service. He and RJ showed up when they said they would and moved quickly. The screens look great! We will definitely use them for other jobs in the future.

Mike Krinninger and his associate, RJ, came to the house to repair a broken screen door. This work was done perfectly, and the screen looks great. After doing this, he offered to put the door back on the hinges. I wasn't expecting this, but it was really welcomed, since it was a tricky procedure. While at the house, he pointed out three more screens that were in rough shape. He gave me a discount price (since he was already on site), and these were repaired, also. Mike has a great attitude, is friendly, does good work, and explains things as he goes along. It's a pleasure to deal with him, and I would definitely use him again.

Owner and main guy Mike Krinninger called me just hours after I left him an e-mail (using his website) about what I needed done. He asked me to send him a picture of the door to help him with his estimate, and called me later that night to tell me what he thought the job would cost (a range). The actual job came in at the low end of the range. Luckily, he was going to be in my neighborhood the very next day, so by late morning, my horrible looking screen door looked great! Mike and his associate are friendly and professional. They arrived right when they said they would, and gave me a call giving me 15 minutes notice. A problem-free job. I can't believe that after all these years of looking at that darn door and thinking, I've got to get that fixed, it's done. And in less than 24 hours from e-mail to finished job. George Krinninger and sons recently completed a large project for our family. Mike Krinninger, the lead contractor, did a fantastic job. He and his crew members were professional, courteous, and very punctual. We wanted to convert unused attic space into a bedroom/bathroom and we chose GK & Sons to do the work. I told Mike that I'd like to help out as much as possible in order to save on the cost and he was happy to let me. He explained that he would let me learn while I helped and that my helping out would lower the cost. Throughout the entire process, Mike was very helpful and patient. Here are a few highlights of his work: 1. Punctuality. When Mike Krinninger says he'll be there, he'll be there on time and usually a few minutes early. He'll never leave you waiting or wondering if he'll show up. This goes for all of his subcontractors as well. They were all on-time, every time which makes a huge difference when trying to plan your day. 2. Honesty. Mike and all of his crew are honest and open about every aspect of the project. He kept me informed daily as to the status of cost, materials and labor. No hidden charges; no surprises. 3. Workmanship. Mike and his crew all did outstanding work. The bedroom/bathroom in the attic space was a complicated design and had numerous challenges. Mike managed his way thru them all and the finished product is incredible. 4. Professional. Everyone involved were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves and took good care of our house while we were gone. I fully trusted everyone who came out to do work for Mike. Mike was great. We had two screens to repair, including a porch screen that would have been difficult for me to remove. He did a great job repairing our screens on site, and saved me a lot of hassle. He was able to come out shortly after my initial call, and he did a good job of explaining how he was going to fix the screens. Overall, I highly recommend him and would use him again.

Mike was awesome. He went above and beyond and made absolutely sure things were the way we wanted them done. He even fixed the loft that was put up by prior company that installed the shed. He did that at no additional to us. What he did for us made the storage size almost double. In addition he spent additional time coming out beforehand. I called Mike Krinninger to see if he would be interested in a couple of small carpentry tasks I had. During our initial conversation on the phone, Mike was friendly and asked many questions to try and understand what I had. He was patient and was happy to spend a good amount of time talking with me on the phone. We set an appointment time for him to look over the work. Bad weather and illnesses postponed a couple of the first meetings, but Mike was always prompt in contacting me either by phone or Email. He made me feel like I was one of his large contract jobs. When he came over to the house, we began looking at the jobs. Mike was happy to take on the jobs but asked me if I was handy with tools. When I said that I was ok at it, he gave me a choice. He could either do the work himself, or, he could walk me through the things I needed to do; at no charge!!! I couldn't pass that up. He must have spent at least an hour (probably more) with me briefing me on my two tasks. I even had him repeat what he told me just to make sure I understood. He was happy to do so. An amazing amount of patience (especially for not getting any payment for the advice!!) Before Mike left, he said not to fear doing the jobs, but if I had even the slightest bit of doubt; I could call him and he would come right over. Yikes, talk about taking care of your clients! My carpentry jobs are going great and because of his coaching, I'm pretty confident in my work. If I have any large jobs around the house, I will surely call Mike, again. Thanks so much!!

The front of the house had a mock Tudor style exterior with wooden beams and the panels in between the beams had holes all over and some places moisture gotten behind and the panels were pulling away from the walls. I had several contractors come before and take a look and one of them never even get me a quote, one of them said the material was discontinued and they can't fix it and one of them said the only choice was to put siding on which would change the whole style of the house. Finally I found Mike Krinninger on Angies List to do a different job for screen repair at a different house and when I found out they also did exterior work, he gave us an actual estimate to do the job. They repaired the walls and he took pictures of the process as well so even if I wasn't on site, I can see the work he did. He communicated well and I am pleased with tthe results. They worked quickly even in this cold January weather. I am also in real estate and do property management so I will be recommending him to our clients and as well.

Mike was honest, easy to work with, friendly, on time, neat and talented. The work he did was professionally completed. Would recommend Mike to anyone looking for carpentry services.

He did fix them pretty good

Robin came in a did a quick diagnosis of the problem. He fixed the problem within 5 minutes. He was very professional, and knew his stuff. I would highly recommend Robin for any window work you need done.

I found Mike and RJ to be professional, competent, and courteous. They did a great job and were very particular to minimize the dust and overall mess. Not only did they do a great job of cleaning up, Mike went above and beyond by repairing other items he found along the way. Mike and RJ even helped me paint my ceiling where my recently installed ceiling fan left a dirty circle when they realized I could not reach it. It is obvious that Mike not only develops customers, he develops relationships. Great experience!

The work that was done was so much better than I could have ever imagined! Mike gave me a quote for the required job that was very fair. He showed up on time, and completed the work in less time than I expected. Mike was very professional, and did a wonderful job. I will tell my neighbors about him, and use him again for any window problems.

I called Mike and roughly described what is was we wanted done. We set up an appointment for him to come out to the house. He arrived at our appointment on time. He gave me several options and costs to choose from. Once I decided which option I wanted, I contacted Mike and accepted his proposal. He said he could come out that upcoming Saturday to do the job. He arrived early Saturday morning with an assistant and worked all day until the early evening. Due to the way the original screen room was constructed, additional trim work was necessary for a perfect fit. This took extra time and labor to complete but Mike held to his original estimate. Even though it was late and getting dark when the job was completed, Mike and his assistant stayed on and thoroughly cleaned up the site and hauled away all debris, including the old screens and frames. The finished job was even better than I had hoped for. His workmanship is excellent. Mike's friendliness, attitude, quality of work, promptness, and desire to please is something hard to find these days. I would definitely use him for any future work I may have and would highly recommend him to others.
