Dunsing Inspections

Dunsing did a tremendous job. Jim spent 4 hours inspecting every aspect of our new home, and provided a great report with clear recommendations and photos. He let us know what was going on every step of the way, and gave updates on what he was seeing that we should be aware of. We purchased several add-on services, which we're so glad they offered. The radon test was thankfully clear, and the camera inspection of the sewer line gave great peace of mind. Importantly, they offer chimney inspection services, and showed us that the chimneys were badly degraded and needed repair. Dunsing put is in a great position to understand the home, negotiate appropriate safety issues with the sellers, and know what to keep an eye on going forward. This is our second home we've had inspected with Dunsing, and would call them every time.

I have used Jamie for two inspections. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. His report included video of the roof so that I might see for myself what he had found. It was like standing on the roof. I forwarded the report to an architect and several roofers, all of whom said it was one of the best reports they had ever seen. I would use him again.

We can't say enough about Jamie! He was thorough, professional, courteous, punctual, and extremely knowledgable. Jamie saved us literally what could have been a hundred thousand dollars on repairs that we would not have known about ourselves. We used Jamie twice without hesitation and would use him again and recommend him to everybody! He was SO responsive to questions and follow-up going above and beyond. His reports come within a day and are sent electronically so they are easily shared with contractors or anyone you wish for follow-up. THANK YOU JAMIE!

It went well with him. I think he did a good job, but I felt that he rushed through the process. I would have a liked him to take a little more time with the inspection. The only thing I can reommend is that you ask how much time he can spend with you.

I highly recommend Jamie to anyone buying a new home. He found a serious foundation issue on an addition to the home we were initially going to buy. He also pointed out many other issues and explained everything along the way, in addition to telling us "FYI"s on various workings of mechanicals, he gave us a lot of home maintenence tips and ways to fix items. Highly reccomend.

We used Jamie for 2 inspections in Spring of 2011. The first was on a short sale home. Jamie's investigation revealed a major structural defect in the house that caused us to walk away altogether. We will remain grateful to him for spotting this and saving us tens of thousands of dollars in repairs. His inspection fee was money well spent, and we gladly hired him again for the next house. In both properties he was thorough and gladly answered questions we peppered him with throughout the process. On the second house we also opted for the radon detection service. On this house Jamie caught a moisture issue with the deck. The repair contractor who later did the work commented we were lucky to have caught it early before it turned into a much bigger problem. He also suggests little do-it-yourself fixes for smaller problems. Jamie gave us a lot of peace of mind, and can easily differentiate between the big and small defects. His written report is clear and easy to read. Can't recommend him enough.

As a first time home-buyer, the process can be stressful. But one of the highlights was the inspection that was done by Jamie Dunsing, who came recommended by a friend. I loved learning all about my new place. He was very thorough and submitted my report without delay. My agent was wary when I picked out my own inspector, but he even met her high standards. Jamie also responded quickly to a follow-up question I sent by email, and I appreciated having his point of view. Another plus is that he schedules inspections and sends reports digitally, so you can have a copy on your computer instantly.

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY TWICE FOR HOME INSPECTIONS AND WAS VERY HAPPY BOTH TIMES. BOB AND STEVE ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY GIVE A NICE COMPUTER PRINTED REPORT AND RETURNED PHONE CALLS QUICKLY, WHEN I HAD A QUESTION AFTER THE INSPECTION.

I WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER DEALING WITH INSPECTECH. THEY WERE FLAT OUT WRONG ON THEIR INSPECTION REPORT. THEY DEMONSTRATED NO KNOWLEDGE OF CITY CODES IN THEIR REPORT. INSTEAD OF GIVING A REALISTIC NOTION OF WHAT WAS GOOD AND BAD ABOUT THE BUILDING, THEY USED HYPERBOLE AND GENERALITIES TO COVER THEMSELVES FROM A LAWSUIT. ON TOP OF IT, THEY WERE RUDE TO THE TENANTS IN THE BUILDING.

VERY PLEASED WITH THE OVERALL SERVICE OF THIS COMPANY. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE NEEDING A HOME INSPECTION. THE REPORT IS EXTREMELY THOROUGH AND TYPED, NOT HAND WRITTEN. THE DIGITAL PICTURES HELP DOCUMENT ANY PROBLEMS FOUND DURING THE INSPECTION.
