I have to admit, our first instinct was to be a little skeptical about the Nutrimax organic lawn care pitch. But we were desperate to try anything new. Our lawn was sodded in 2013 on a fresh lot, graded flat, irrigated, and with additional top soil added before the sod layer. Unfortunately, the lawn struggled due to the presence of a number of very large, mature oak trees, which were casting partial shade and competing for water/nutrients. We were diligent about watering deeply (and not too frequently), and removing leaves and acorns (as best as we could) in the fall. We had run through the other national lawn care providers with no luck -- every year, we would rehab the turf and then see it get patchy and thin by the end of the season. Last year, we discussed our issues with Robert, who sent out a person to test the lawn and recommend an application program. The difference has been tremendous. I have no understanding of the chemistry involved, but Nutrimax is doing something right to manage our lawn in a healthy, sustainable manner, rather than giving it a short term boost with chemicals that leave the grass weak and dependent. It's still a battle given the shade and competition, but clearly Nutrimax's care is helping. Robert has been very helpful and patient throughout the process. The one downside has been the higher cost, but it's been well worth it for the results and the peace of mind (we have kids and a dog that play in the yard).

Excellent coverage. Spot treatment of weeds that managed to emerge. Environmentally friendly, so not 100% weed free and I'm okay with that. No need to poison everything. Lawn looks quite healthy. There is a 5% discount for paying upfront, but I believe I'll pay as I go next year, as I believe I could have skipped the July application.

I get four treatments a year from Nutri-Max. They will fertilize your landscaping. They are professionals, if you have a big company you could have an 18 year old kid out there doing your yard. There are two guys that own this company and they know this stuff inside and out. They have both chemical and non-chemical fertilizers depending on what you want to use. If you have animals and don't want to use chemical fertilizers. Every time they come out they look at your lawn, if they see something wrong, see what's going on. They will run various tests on your lawn and your soil. If they see something they will take care of you. If they see something special like rings in your yard because of grubs or something like that they will treat for grubs. I have never had to worry about my yard, it looks like I just sodded it last year. It's not like you have an 18 year old that gets off the truck, sprays your yard and then leaves. These guys know what they're doing. You never have to worry about your lawn with them. They are not expensive, they are right in line with everyone else, maybe a little cheaper and they have a lot more to offer in terms of how they do things.
