The job had to be rescheduled a couple of times due to an unusually rainy spring but Chris kept in touch with me and the job was completed at the earliest opportunity.

We had to wait a few weeks longer than expected for our project to get started, likely a clear sign that they are in demand which is good. In the end, KG Roofing did a fantastic job. They were in and out in 2 days, the roof looks fantastic and after watching these guys at work, it's clear they are very skilled at what they do. We will use them again (but hopefully not for many years) and highly recommend.

Accept for waiting over a month for a building permit (unincorporated Cook County) everything was done on time as promised. Kris's crew worked two days (24hours) to complete the roof and about 2 and 1/2 hours for the gutter installation. $13,

Professional from the start. Chris is easy to work with and delivers what he promises. Received 3 estimates on job and KG Roofing did best presentation and was competitively priced for equal quality and service specs. Went with Owens Corning Duration brand shingles, about 4000 sq ft of roof coverage. They we not able to start work for about a month due to existing schedule, Two days to complete job, crew were all employees, no subs. Just as they were finishing a rain storm came over and they continued until completed Project went according to plan and the team delivered a high quality result. Clean up was complete, dumpster was removed the next day and city inspected/approved the day after. I would highly recommend you consider Chris/ KG Roofing and Construction.

Everything went great. They completed the work in a timely matter and for a great price. I will be calling again for a new roof and gutters.

We are very satisfied with KG Roofing. Chris the owner came out immediately and gave us an itemized quote. When I e-mailed him with questions, he immediately responded with an e-mail and a phone call. Price was reasonable and less than other companies that quoted the job. The roof was complete in two days and the workers cleaned up everything. Chris even made sure to tell me several times to check my driveway for any nails that may have fallen when the dumpster was picked up because he wanted to make sure we did not get a flat tire. We added gutters guards after job was finished and he came back quickly and installed himself. We have received a few compliments about our roof already and a neighbor has asked for the company information because they were impressed and wanted to get a quote.

It was very good. It was only $200. It wasn’t bad at all. He did an overall inspection of the roof and said I could go at least another 4 years by the age of the roof. He just replaced some shingles that needed to be repaired, did a hole in one side of the attic and did a whole roof inspection, that was the only thing that needed to be done. I wouldn’t have changed anything, it was very reasonable. He came on time and did the work right then and there.

Last fall after researching roof products, roofing companies and reading reviews, (including the Better Business Bureau’s) I called a few companies for an estimate. Chris from KG came on time and inspected my roof, explained what would be done, listened to my concerns, and gave me an itemized proposal. He was very friendly, his price was very competitive, and his company just seemed right! It was too late to get the permit and job done last year, so Chris did some roof repairs before winter (at no charge) and we scheduled the 2-day job for this May. He called in early spring to confirm that he had the permit, and gave me “more addresses” to help me choose a color for the shingles. Last week KG Roofing & Construction started, completed, and cleaned up just as promised, and I couldn’t be happier with my new roof! Since then I’ve re-read the reviews for them and asked myself “what can I say that’s different?” And the truth is --- I can’t say anything different than what is consistently said about KG Roofing. Every review repeats the same dependable experiences I had hoped for, and what I received. They were: on time, honest, competitively priced, provided exceptional workmanship, quality materials, an outstanding crew, incredible clean up both days, protected my landscape, there was no pressure or upsell, instead there was excellent communication, and pride and integrity in their work. Chris came back after the job was done to follow up and inspect the roof. So like the other reviews you’ll read here, I’m another 100%, completely satisfied customer who would hire KG Roofing & Construction again in a heartbeat! Kris (owner) was excellent - very responsive, professional and very competitively priced. One item that I had poor experience in the past was in regards to the clean-up; no worries here as the team protected the shrubs around the house during the work, utilized a tarp to limit the risk of nails in the yard, rolled the yard with a magnet and I even saw them raking up the small pieces of materials and blowing out the gutters at the end of the project. All work completed to my satisfaction and very timely. I would utilize KG Roofing again in a heartbeat

The owner answered the phone and had someone out to see the job the next morning and provided an estimate within an hour. They showed up the same day and fixed the problem. The price was reasonable, work was well done and responsiveness excellent. I would definitely hire again.

Chris was great. Very professional, his people busted their butts and had the roof torn off and the new one put on in a day and half. Would definitely use again and would recommend to anybody.

Excellent. Chris is the nicest, most professional, and respectful contractor that I spoke with. His kindness won me over right away. I received 5 quotes and before he left I knew that I was going to hire him. He did not talk down to me and treated me with the utmost respect. While the cost was a factor (even though his was great) it did not determine who I was going to hire. The workers came as promised (as well as Chris) got the job done within time promised, cleaned up their work and I have a new roof that is beautiful. To say the least I am very happy. Chris reassured me that I have nothing to worry about and I am so confident that what he says is true. Kudos to KG Roofing & Construction and a great contractor. The roofing crew completely removed decades old material from both structures and performed a thorough clean up of the area before the next day's installation. "Antique" shingles, fans and non-working light fixtures were replaced by superior roofing materials and a more efficient ventilation system. Again, a complete cleanup was performed. The price was more than fair considering the quality of materials and workmanship applied to the job. There was no upsell. I will have K G Roofing replace the siding of our home next spring/summer and expect the same great level of service and quality of construction. Though I was apprehensive to hire a roofer that I wasn't familiar with, after checking the BBB, all the good reviews here, plus checking with the building department in my town for any past problems, I hired K & G roofing. Chris (the owner) was not the cheapest bid at first glance, but when I considered all the extras that he proposed to do he became very competitive with all the other roofing bids. When he explained all the extra steps he wanted to do including building a cricket for my chimney ( if you don't know what that is look it up) I knew I had found someone who took pride in their old-world craftsmanship. They showed up on time and his crew was professional, and conscientious hard-working men. At the end of the job they did a nice job cleaning the yard. Chris came back out the next day (because the crew finished up after dark) to check to make sure they had done a neat and clean job which they had. He called me to make sure that I was thoroughly satisfied with the job... and I am. I highly recommend this roofing co.

We dealt with Chris, the owner from start to finish. He and his crew were professional and courteous. They took care around the house as they accessed the roof. Chris really knows his stuff as demonstrated by his suggestion to add some venting to the area where the plywood had warped in the first place, and when he did the initial inspection of the roof he discovered flashing missing at the base of the chimney and a hole in the roof. (That's how the racoon got into the attic!) The crew worked fast and did a good job cleaning up. I think we found one nail later in a flower bed. I intended to wait 1 year to write this review so we could assess how the roof stood up to the weather in all seasons, but family stuff distracted me from getting it done sooner than this. I apologize to Chris for the delay because people should know what a great job he and his crew did.

I was very pleased with quality of work performed . And with the crew that did the work . Two of my neighbors have since come by to ask me who did work and a business card . I would highly recommend kg roofing &construction to anyone . As I did to my neighbors .

KG roofing came highly recommended by a family member. We had already received a quote of 11,500.00 from the company that installed our roof originally when we built our home in 1999. We were a little discouraged about that price. Then we were told about KG, Chris the owner came out in December of 2015, and gave us a quote, we locked in at a price of 6800.00 and was very pleased with that price certainly thought it was fair. When we locked in it was to ensure the 2015 prices, we were not locked in to a contract we could have cancelled at any time. June 3 was the day. We were so pleased with the quality and promptness of this whole process. Every question and email, text, phone call, I had with Chris was answered right away. The whole roof was torn off and replaced with all new vents and attic fan in one day, the yard and lanscaping was covered in tarps and pulled up as they went not to destroy the yard, very few roofing nails was found after that. The only problem we had is our air conditioning unit stopped working, Chris came out Saturday morning the next day to pick up his payment, and to ask us how we liked our new roof and asked if there was any concerns and we had noticed our air was not working, asked Chris if maybe the guys unplugged something, he was very concerned and did not leave until we figured out it was a blown fuse. We had a very good experience with an investment we had been dreading. Thank you Chris Gal and KG roofing we are very happy with our new roof!

Chris and his crew were very prompt and professional. Very easy communication all the way from the quote, samples and work completion. Extras were done with no hesitation. Will definitely do business in the future with this company.

Chris was responsive and professional throughout the entire process. I had a leak coming in through my soffits and he was able to find the source and stop it. They did really great job. My roof is complicated and stip. City inspector just came and told me same-great job. They came early in the morning and worked until late evening with only couple stops for breaks, they clean every day debris, they were very nice.They did really good cleaning before they left.

Called KG Roofing & Construction for an estimate and Chris was out to my house the same day and measured everything up and showed me samples and answered all of my questions. He was right in line with the other quotes that I had got, and I decided to go with KG Roofing and really liked the way Chris represented his company. The job they did was just great and I have never seen such a hard working crew as KG'S crew, when they left everything was picked up and you would never know that they were here. Chris had the best reputation by far out of the 5 estimates I received and we felt that they would deliver on what they promised and they did.

I had numerous quotes to fix a roof leak which we think was coming from the gutters overflowing. Another company diagnosed the problem but Chris gave me a quote without even meeting with me. At first I was hesitant to hire him since he didn't come to the property. Once i told him i was serious he came out ang gave me an estimate of half of what I was going to pay the othet company. His guys came two days later and I'm happy with their work

The crew was very punctual, professional and most importantly CLEAN (at the end of each day they cleaned 100% of the shingles/nails from the tear off)! A roof tear off can be nightmare, but KG Roofing made it painless. From the original contact to the final installation, Chris was clear, concise, up front and honest about the job requirements and time line. I am 110% satisfied with the work they did and would highly recommend them.
