This 30 day house inspection wonder was a joke. There was no professional inspection performed. The inspection he preformed a child could of done. Case in points: Never walked thru the crawl space to inspect the sump pump or the fact the master bath toilet pipe was missing its inspection cover. This was due to the fact the previous owners were doing a rodding of the sewer as there was no clean out pipe. They stripped the threads of the inspection pipe cover pipe running the rodder. Rodded just enough to pass an inspection. And to think the previous owners were Palatine police people. If a real inspector had been on board we would not of purchased the house. 2 weeks after move in the sever backed up. Master bath Toilet and bathtub sewer stuff in it. $10k to rod, clean and install new sewer pipes and a above ground clean out from the foundation out. This character cost us $10K. If I could I would of sued this person. The roof we were told good by him was good for another 5 more years. The roof leaked the first winter. New roof $8,500 in 2015 resulting in 80% of the roof panels replaced as they were so dry rotted. The roofers stated we were lucky the winter of 2014 did not result in snow in the living room, family room, dining room and garage. The washing machine PVC piping in the crawl was out of code. 3/4" should of been 2". The pvc pipe terminated at the main cast iron sewer pipe and the joint was leaking. And no venting. We had floods. All new plumbing in the crawl to fix this. The sump pump was wired incorrectly with the backup pump working as the main pump. Had the mfg. "The Protector" totally rebuild the system to specs. We were told the system was so obviously in error just by inspecting it !!! The battery was dead also. The furnace de-humidifier was broken and had to be replaced. The chimney mortar at the base had major cracks and needed to be fixed. This character is incompetent and not worth the $550.00 charged. He came not from the housing industry and had no prior construction experience. Just another "take the course. Get certified" and fool the public that he is a qualified inspector. There should be a law against these types or at least being able to sue them. This would level the playing field to competent players. We trusted this person as we were new to home ownership. I detest being cheated and most of all "Trust" being compromised. Anything this impostor may respond to is just hot air. And he should be ashamed of himself. I wonder how these types sleep at night.
