Overall, it went very well. After he cleaned the sofas, we were very satisfied with the results. From the get go, Jim was very nice and professional on the phone and very descriptive of the type of work he would perform. This continued the day of the job. He showed up right on time and finished on time (4 hrs). He laid down the tarp on the areas he was working on and cleaned up after wards. He knows what he is doing and it was a very pleasant experience. I would definitely use him again.

He was a little too wordy which I put on my card that I sent in. They did a good job. I would recommend him and I would use him again.

Jim was able to come out the morning after I called him due to a cancellation. He was right on time and did an excellent job on all the carpeting. He moved our furniture and used furniture protectors under everything. Amazingly he was able to get the clear nail polish off the rocker-glider that a previous professional cleaner had failed to do. And for the first time ever in our experience the carpet really was dry by evening! Jim is also very well spoken and honest and reliable. After seeing the job he did we hired him to come out the next week to clean the grout in the large area detailed above. Once again he was on time to the minute and very professional. He made the tile and grout look like new! And there was no unpleasant chemical ordor from this or the carpet cleaning.

He was able to clean the carpeting on short notice. He was prompt and courteous. We will certainly call JEJ Masterclean for future carpet cleaning needs.

Because of allergies, I asked that Jim only use water/steam to do the cleaning. He said he'd be happy to do it that way, but that the cleaning would not be quite as effective without soap. I asked him to clean a number of mats and runners that I hadn't thought about when I first talked to him. He was glad to do it. I also asked him to evaluate a tile floor in the basement, and asphalt damage to my cobblestone driveway. Where some vendors might attempt to do the work to pad the bill, Jim just told me the tile floor was too old to successfully clean and that he wouldn't be able to get rid of the asphalt on the cobblestones. On the other hand, my carpets look like they've just been installed. There is no odor whatsoever, unless "clean" is a smell, and they have mostly dried already, a half-hour after his departure. The mats were thick with ground in dirt after years of use. They are now clean. So too, the stairs. The couch is dark-colored but I can tell it's free of accumulated grime and pet hair. Jim is a thorough professional with a great work ethic, emphasis on customer service (and an animal lover). I've used plenty of service people and haven't met anyone as friendly and accomodating as he is. Big thumbs up for JEJ Masterclean. Jim did a masterful job.

Everything went very well. My appointment was on a morning that there was a snow storm and the appointment was not cancelled and the owner drove 2 hours to clean my carpet. Normally this would have been a 45 minute drive. I did not have to make new plans because of his ability to keep the original appointment. I HIGHLY recommend JEJ Masterclean to clean your carpet :-)

I appreciate Jim's punctuality and professsionalism. He's a trustworthy individual who works very hard. The job was done well in a reasonable amount of time.

I am such a happy camper!!!! Found JEJ on Angies List and James the owner was the epitomy of professionalism. He was here right on time, explained the process and everything went smoother than silk. As I had all the furniture in our master bedroom in the middle of the room for painting, Jim broke the job into two days, so he cleaned the perimeter of the master and the living room, dining room and then came back to do the middle of the master and hallway, kitchen and basement stairs another day. This made it so very convenient for me. I noticed on his card that he also cleaned grout and I asked him if he could do a little area in my kitchen so I could see what it looked like. I had been thinking about it for years-just didn't know exactly what they did to clean grout. He did and it was amazing, so in addition, I had him clean the kitchen and utility room grout. I originally had off-white tile and off-white grout that had turned gray over twenty years. Well now I have my original floor back- it looks amazing and is all off-white. I will never let it go that long again-wish I had know this years ago. I will call him ever so often to keep it beautiful. He is a nice man, professional and knows his stuff. I felt very comfortable having him in my home and have already given his name to family and friends. As far as I am concerned, this is the type contractor you would expect to find on Angies List. Keep up the great great work!!!!! You are the only carpet cleaner I will call !!!!

Contacted JEJ and Jim responded within the hour. Jim gave me a quote over the phone with the pricing to be adjusted when he measured the rooms. Set up the appointment for the following week which Jim gave me a few dates to choose from. Jim showed up exactly when promised. Our carpets are 14 years old and Jim made sure we knew what he could do and couldn't do but communicated throughout the whole time he was at the house. He was very thorough and the carpets looked great. Jim is a true professional and takes pride in his business. It was refreshing to run into a person that understands the meaning of giving great service to a customer and that he appreciated the business. He called the following day to make sure we were happy with the service. I highly recommend Jim for anyone that needs their carpet cleaned and will definitely be using him in the future!!

We talked about the job and i gave my best guess of room sizes, and i was given an approximate estimate. When he came (on time) he measured and gave me the exact amount before he began. The machinery is in his truck and therefore there was no deafening noise as with other carpet cleaners. That in itself was a pleasure. He took his time and did a fantastic job. I felt the price was very fair for the work. Altogether a terrific experience. A month later, no returning stains.

Jim returned our call within 10 minutes on a Sunday evening. He came out to measure the next day, taking care to understand what our concerns were and to explain what the process entailed. He provided the estimate, and explained that given the area needing cleaning, it would probably take half a day. We scheduled the service for that Thursday afternoon. Jim arrived punctually on Thursday, and was very professional and personable as he set up, explained what he was doing, and set to work. He was patient and willing to answer the questions I had as things progressed. He took care of moving all the furniture (except the pieces we asked be left in place) and did a truly wonderful job on the carpet. I should explain that we have white carpet that is several years old, never having been professionally cleaned. Honestly, given that, I didn't expect any sort of amazing transformation. I was wrong. With few exceptions, the carpet looks brand new. My wife and I were incredibly happy with how well Jim cleaned it. We will definitely use him again.

Called and spoke on the phone. Jim described the entire process he would use to clean the carpet. He gave me an estimate over the phone and set up an appointment. He arrived on time. He was incredibly pleasent and very professional, a pleasure to work with. He got every stain out of the carpet, even those that had been there a while. He put the furniture back in place on foam blocks and did the whole job in less than two hours. He then called the next day to make sure the rug was drying properly and that everything about the job was satisfactory. When I looked at the bill, I couldn't believe how fair his price was! (less than the estimate) Great work, great price, great service, I recommend him and would use him again in a heartbeat:)

I received excellent service. I called for an estimate first and then needed to call back to actually schedule the service. Dos: No your room sizes, be sure to explain if your carpets need special care, this will ensure a more accurate estimate for service. For example. My carpets were heavily stained because I had a very ill dog and needed sanitizing. Also, have a very good idea of what date and time you would like to schedule the work to be done. I received the estimate and then needed to coordinate with my husband to actually schedule the cleaning. So it required more than one call back. I had to call back to schedule and missed the owner, but he called me back very promptly. When I spoke with him he was very courteous and always professional. He arrived to clean the carpets right on time and his estimate of how long it would take to do the job was right on target. At the time he gave me the estimate, he had explained that the cost might very from his estimate based on the actual size of the rooms and amount of staining. But he actually charged less that the estimate. My house looks and smells clean again. Excellent job and Great Service!! I will definitely be calling for service again.

Jim from JEJ Masterclean is simply awesome! He is everything you could want in a contractor - friendly, punctual, priced competitively and, most importantly, does a great job. I've already used him twice and will definitely use him in the future.

Jim was the 1st provider to respond out of the 5 that I emailed about our needs. Jim was always really easy to reach via email or phone which helped because our scheduling needs changed midweek that we were trying to set up this appointment. On our appt day he came right on time at 8 am and was a true proffessional - friendly, but ready to get to work. We walked around and I showed Jim the places that were the most important to us that he get to clean. Our budget was no more than $300, depending on progress. JIm got to work and everything that we needed to be done was done by 1:30-2Pm (closer to 1:30.) We were on budget ( $270) and the results were great. If we need our place to be spotless again - we definitely are calling Jim again - he is a true proffessional. He is very thorough and everything he touched is super clean. It's a pleasure to breath the air in the house again!

Jim called back within 20 minutes after leaving a message. He had a cancellation the next day. He came out promptly was professional and friendly. He measured the rooms and quoted me a reasonable price. He advised us exactly what he would be doing. He finished in less then 4 hours and did a fantastic job. Our furniture and carpeting looked like new. I would highly recommend him.

All very seamless. He did a good job. Only surpise was that we had dark grey grout, so the cleaning did not appear to make much of a difference.

We had some trouble coordinating Jim's arrival because we haven't moved in yet and we were coordinating him arriving at a time when my wife would be there. It all ended up going fine, and it was probably my fault for trying to handle it from work. Once there, he went to work and was quick while still performing high quality service. He knew we weren't all that familiar with the carpet, so he inspected it to find "problem spots" and focused on them. The old, worn-down carpet in our basement looks excellent, and he was very up front about spots he couldn't get totally cleaned. He also did a tremendous job on the area rugs, making them look as good as new. He was very up front about what he couldn't fix (old, discolored fringe on area rugs). We'd use JEJ again in a heartbeat, and plan to (for our furniture) once we're moved in.

The process went perfectly! Jim placed protective pads under all the furniture aand even offered to move furniture for me. He was able to remove an area of water damage that I never thought would look this good.

I found JEJ in an article in the Angie's list magazine. He was very professional and punctual. The price was great and now our old carpets look good again. Will definitely use his services again. He was willing to clean our carpets even though we were a bit farther than he normally travels for jobs.

I had seen Jim listed as one of the top contractors in the Northwest suburbs in a recent Angie's List publication. I figured it would be tough to get an appointment, but called anyway. Jim came over that very same day to give me an estimate. Our sofas specified "dry clean only", so Jim took a cushion with him to test to make sure that the steam cleaning process wouldn't damage the sofa. The test went well, so we scheduled an appointment for 3 days later, however Jim brought the test cushion back the very next day. The day of the appointment Jim arrived when he said he would. He had ample tarps to protect our flooring and was very thorough in his work. He was able to get all of the random stains off the sofas and bring a little life back into a dirty rug. I have 3 small children and Jim was very kind and tolerant of them. He answered their questions and showed them equipment all while doing a great job on the sofas & rug. He was very personable and professional all at the same time and I plan to use him the next time I have steam cleaning needs.

Jim did an amazing job on our carpets! He was able to get shoe polish stains and worse out of the carpets. Our daughter (who is disabled) had the stomach flu the prior week. Unfortunately, she was unable to consistently make it to the bathroom. I tried cleaning the carpet myself with very little success. I just assumed we would need to replace the carpet in her room. But....Jim was able to clean it so well! The stains and odor are gone. Amazing! Jim is always punctual, polite and pleasant. He even remembered our dog and brought her a little treat. No question about it - when we need our carpets cleaned, there's really only one person to call!!

I called for an appointment to have my carpeting cleaned the following week and Jim was able to fit me as I requested. He arrived at the agreed upon time in the morning and did room measurements first, giving me a very fair price quote with an Angies List discount. I then asked about adding a couple of area rugs and he was happy to accommodate my request. I remembered him from a basement flood cleanup I had done in a previous house about 15+ years ago in which he did a great job. He is friendly, very professional and accurate with the price quote and time involved. He took extra time on some of the dog spots and managed to get them cleaner than I had hoped. He moved furniture when necessary except for the bigger items that I didn't want moved. My carpet looks and smells clean and was dry by evening. I've now found my go-to guy for carpets and suggested that Jim give me a reminder call next Fall to schedule an annual carpeting cleaning. I can highly recommend him.

I contacted Jim by email after a previous contractor dirtied the carpet in a bedroom. He responded to my email within 10 minutes, and continued to be just as responsive throughout the entire process. I received a few other estimates, and Jim's was by far the most reasonable. I spoke to Jim about a week later and he explained his process. He arrived on time, and completed the work in about 1.5 hrs. The carpets look like new. Jim is such a nice person, and you can tell he really cares about the quality of his work. I am very happy with the result and would not hesitate to use Jim again.

Once again I called Jim for my carpet cleaning needs. I had another contractor come in and do some work and in the process they tracked in animal feces onto my carpets. Jim came out just after the holiday and cleaned and sanitized all carpets on my steps to perfection! I only call Jim for carpet cleaning because i have used other companies and I know I will get a thorough job with him. While here I also had him clean both ovens as they had caked on spills. He makes them spotless. I also had him look at my kitchen faucet as since we have well water, I had rust deposits and discoloration on the aerator. He quickly removed it and cleaned it so it looks like new. He is a true jack of all trades when it comes to cleaning, and can really clean anything. I have used him for other jobs as well like cleaning discoloration off of showers. I tried to have him come clean my tile grout, but in the process discovered that the previous owners had painted the grout. When he realized this, rather than take my money and try to still clean it, he told me that if he did, it would not turn out nicely and that I would not be happy. I fully appreciated that!! I will continue to call Jim for my carpet cleaning, etc needs in the future.
