Hawthorn Gardens

They don't do a lot of landscaping, they are mostly a big plant place, but they do have a guy who does bring a lot of stuff out and plant them for you. They are mainly a big store, nursery, whatever you call them. I didn't see any greenhouses but it was a huge place with outdoor, I didn't walk around the whole place, a very helpful woman that worked with me because I told her sort of what I wanted to do and she picked out some stuff and showed me some different things and I picked them out, bought them and paid to have them come and dig the holes and bring them out with extra material. He did a fine job.

I asked the check-out gilr how much 6 yards of red mulch would cost. She said $50/yard, but that Hardwood mulch was on sale for $25/yard. So I ordered and PAID for 6 yards of hardwood. The next morning, I received a phone message that they made a mistake. the mulch was not on sale and I could pay more or get a refund. I angrily said I would take the refund. That day, I went to the store to get my credit receipt. I asked for a manager and told him that since I already paid, it seemed possibly illegal, and definitely unethical that they would not honor the price they had already posted to my credit card account. The man said it was the owner's decision, at which time I repeated that it was unethical and I would not shop there again. These people had already cost me $1000 referring me to an affiliated company who charged me for work they did not complete to my satisfaction. I was trying to give them another chance. I will never shop there again, and will urge neighbors not to either.
