 + -1 moreJob did not get worked on since I felt forced to make an uninformed decision to fork over another $650 on the spot. I can see many seniors getting trapped by this way of doing business. My feeling is that once I signed up, put the and quot;extra problems/requirementsand quot; info on the web, they should have emailed me back, sent out an estimator or gave me a call. I thought this was going to be a good experience and instead I now will have further driveway damage after this winter. So in my mind, they cost me time and money (even though they did not charge me).
Description of Work: Had used the service once in the past so I used their ONLINE signup reservation system to take advantage of discount and get the job completed before November. I wrote that I needed some items fixed and described them and wanted to know if they could do it or how much extra it would cost. (Raise a low spot, fill some cracks and fill in the apron areas where water was collecting. Although they say they will contact you a day ahead of time, they did not so I had to call them. Work was scheduled for the following Monday, however the weather got bad. This was a full 2 weeks after I used my credit card online to set the job up. Since it rained Monday I had to call again because the online date was never set after the first call. When they came a day or so later, a truck pulled up with a bunch of workers and they had no idea what I wanted done. When I went over the job with the lead person, he went back to the guys in the truck, made a phone call and then raised the price to $875 using cold packs first and then sealing. I just sent them away and did not get charged, however, due to the delays and the fact that it was now a few days into Novemeber, I will have to wait until Spring of 2013. The biggest issue I have was the online setup clearly asks for the details and lets you request a response which did not happen. This outfit can seal a driveway, but I would never trust them with repairs.

 + -1 moreI procrastinated but when I called they were able to schedule my job within g couple of days even though the season was coming to the close. I researched the reviews and also my history with Barreca versus a cheaper quote I tried previously. Four workers showed up on time, began sweeping and cleaning out the bigger cracks. I have a 13 year old, 10,000 square foot blacktop driveway and had it sealed three years ago but some areas were starting to crumble. After careful edge trimming of the lawn they used a blower to get the debris off the driveway and started to fill the larger cracks with sand and then a tar-like sealer. They then applied one coat of the sealer. Total time spent was about two hours. It began to rain a few hours after they applied the sealer but the driveway was dry and there appear to be no ill effects about a month after the application. They cleaned up and there were no black tracks over my pavers or grass. Overall nice guys to work with and they do a quality job. Not the cheapest but if it lasta a year longer the cost is actually less.
